Watch Episode 137 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
Bayezid has a close brush with death. Death is everywhere on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets betrayed by Rüstem, and he girds himself with his sword and goes to fight. Bayezid fights with all his strength and corners Selim. Just as Selim comes to an end, everything turns upside down because of an arrow Selim gets shot by in the chest. Bayezid gets a fatal blow and he gets terrified when he sees the person who has shot him. Selim gets afraid that Bayezid will get his strength back and advences upon his brother with his army.
Bayezid goes to Iran with his children. Suleman gets angry when he learns his son has taken refuge of Tahmasb I.
Sparrowhawk returns to the capital to kill Rüstem and gets help from someone surprising. The deadly fight between them thrillingly comes to an end. Bayezid finds out that his father bargains for his life with Tahmasb I as he expects to be forgiven. Selim makes an insidious plan that the alarm bells start to ring for Bayezid.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Sumbul is as loyal to Mihrimah as he was to Hurrem.

I wonder why nobody ever mentions that Suleiman doesn't kill only his sons, but also grandchildren?
It's because we all know it. The law will also imply killing the male children, so they won't seek revenge when they grow up😢
😢😢
Yes, this was really cruel. And the youngest of Bayezid's sons was still a toddler, when he was executed. Really unbelievable.
It wasn't just sulieman who does this. Alot of rulers do. It's to keep down the get back factor.
Sultans sacrificed their children to prevent their country from Civil wars like Europe had. Innocent people died in that wars. Ottomans had their rules and even sultans were to follow them
Selim says that Bayezid trusted everyone and they showed Lala Mustafa's face reaction to that. Lala Mustafa was the living proof of how naive Bayezid was with trusting people.
Selim’s intelligence was on top of all his brothers. If he stopped drinking he would be as great sultan as Suleiman.
Not real
Mustafa was much much better.
Historians say that he was most capable and strong-willed sehzada of the ottomans
@@ehsanraja Yes! that’s what I also heard that Mustafa was the most capable one among all.
Even if Selim stopped drinking, he still was easily influenced and disinterested in taking decisions independently, so he still would have been a rather mediocre sultan
@@mrchief2417using others intelligence to our goals is an art and it should be effectively used when others work hard for you. Mustafa and bayazid didn't do it. Mustafa should have heeded to his mom and piri reiz instead of getting good name from Suleiman. Similarly, bayazid should heed his ears to rustem and his lala in his initial days .. and that's what selim did.. ❤
0:37 as Rustem said his power had limits and he couldn’t go against Bayazid’s stupidity or Suleiman’s power.
Not real
Karma, karma . Would have loved if hurrem was alive to see it but anyways mihrimah was there to bear this although i feel sad for beyazid but that's the pit hurrem digged. If suleiman killed Mustafa, he was capable to do it to any other son
Did hurrem made the law that new sultan can kill his male siblings? Did Suleman and his father never kill their siblings? Did this happen for the first time ? Dynasty men made such barbaric rule and morons blame women for it
No mahidevran or hurrem could make this rule or stop this barbarism they can only do is fight for their bloodline to live
Exactly
The first time he yelled at his spoiled daughter. She was not prepared for that.😂😂
Mihrimah: I would have gotten rid of you years ago but someone always stopped me
Really? That’s why you were fine with him being your husband in early season 4 , how you seduced him to take him by your side, how you helped him get rid of your brother Mustafa and when he promised you he would support Bayezid you immediately hugged him 😊
Mihrimah ( show version) was just like Suleiman sisters

Every human makes questionable decisions towards the end of their lives as they lose brain cells and they fall out of touch with reality. The way he speaks on this scene very similar bitter old grumpy men İ come accross on the street. He stayed in power too long, was given say on things he was not cabaple thinking logically. Everything was decide for Bayezid the moment he accepted and did nothing about Selim's addiction. He did not want powerful heir, he wanted to hold on to the throne
The main reason why Suleiman killed bayezid is because he knew that if he did not kill him there would be a civil war over who takes the throne a civil war can cause people to die and the empire to eventually collapse
Yeah but why not kill Selim instead of bayezid
@@ishtiaqadnan6831 because Selim is not some emotional fool, he understands politics way more than Bayezid, Bayezid is more a field soldier than a leader
Selim had great love and respect for Sokullu Vizier, who indeed was a great man and outstanding grand vizier.

I am posting this comment as calmly and friendly as possible. Please, everyone receive it as such and forgive me if I am mistaken about a detail here and there.
I have to agree with Suleiman on that regard. Bayazid was warned time and time again about how important is to control his temper and not make hasty decisions. He was warned about the consequences of his actions and had Mustafa's example (who too provoked his father with his stubborness and defiance) fresh in his mind.
And waht does Bayazid do; HE RAISES IN REBELLION, THINKING THAT IF HE ATTACKS THE PRINCE WHO HAS BEEN CHOSEN BY THE KING AS HEIR TO THE THRONE, THE KING WILL SIMPLY ALLOW THIS ACT OF DEFIANCE GO UNPUNISHED! Bayazid is a true idiot who well deserves his fate at this point.
I don't understand Mirimah here. She was the one who pushed Mustafa to his doom even though he didn't raise an army in rebellion. And now she goes to her father and has the audacy to DEMAND him to forgive her idiotic brother; A Prince who doesn't respect his King's commands; That's absurd.
Finally, Rustem. Gods, I can't wait to see him bitting the dust.
Prince like selim yavuz was just 1 in 10000000, bayezid was not included, being his grandson didn't mean he has the same fate as his granpa and bayezid could never understand that

30:06 the fact that Sokullu Pasha became Selim’s son-in-law but looks like his father 😂😂
Not reaal
Yeah I thought that too.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😢 imagine it's pathetic to imagine 😳
Bayezid😢😢😢😢what a heart breaking 💔 saying goodbye to a family forever 😢😢😢
There is another proof, less obvious, about how angry Suleyman was with Bayezid. Not only did he order executions of Bayezid and all of his sons, but punishment also fell on Bayezid's daughter. Even though their lives were spared, they were all married off to totally unimportant and law rankling pashas and played no role whatsoever in future events. This is in stark contrast to Selim's daughters and even Mustafa's daughter Negrissah, who were all married to very important people in Ottoman history, including one of Selim's daughters being married to Mehmed pasha Sokollu.
If i remember correctly, Mehmed's daughter was also married to a grand vizier
Suleiman executed mahidevran's sister...he was so feared to have same fate like yildirim bayejid
@@Masrafia-gj1xy
Why was her sister executed? I tried googling it but couldn’t find anything
"Nothing". When a person says that he does not feel anything, it means that he feels much more than you can imagine.

I feel so much love for this man. They are all such wonderful actors
I would say so far the smartest character in magnificent century is selim, despite being drunk, he made it to the throne after so much struggle and was able to win Suleiman's power
Selim only got the throne because Mehmed died, otherwise Mehmed would be the Sultan. Both Mustafa and Bayezid failed at following rules and their Sultan desired. Selim was a drunker, but never actively went against Suleiman's orders and wishes. That's why he became the Sultan
It seems the capable heirs are killed off, leaving the least capable alive to rule, for multiple generations.
This is so typical her why blame everything on rustem how about taken responsibility yourself for once and why favoring one brother over another
She and Hatice are just alike in this
The only time I almost agreed with Suleiman and for once he doesn't dump his responsibilities on Rustem.
But he "forgets" that he reignited the tensions of his sons Selim and Bayezid (for example by saying in front of Bayezid and Selim that he dreamed that Murad was on the throne and I think he did that on purpose) .
Mihrimah, consider yourself lucky that your father is Suleiman and not Selim Yavuz your grandfather in view of the fact that you helped Bayezid his rebellion.
Rustem as usual painful, fortunately his end is coming...
I am feel bad for Bayezid childrens and Defne however. I would have liked to see more of Bayezid's daughters (but I've already said what I thought of the treatment of Suleiman's granddaughters from MC)

Not smart, but he listened and obeyed sultan. That saved him
Gosh, how many children he made to poor Rana, before his mother executed her to cover up Nurbanu's deeds? 😮
18:56 defne also says 'the late valide sultan' , like nurbanu, everyone recognizes hurrem sultan as the new valide sultan already since episode 123

Suleiman was stubborn. Unless she eliminated Rustem as a sacrifice and did like a slander story that was used against bayezid again blaming Rustem getting greedy like Ibrahim.

Beyazid didn't trust Suleiman as he knew what he did with Mustafa.
All this would have prevented only if mehmet lived...suleiman always favored also he saw a prophetic dream of mehmet being sultan
Rüstem stole a seal to k*ll her brother. Do you remember Mirimah the one time you stole a seal?
Can someone tell me what is that pearls jewl thing that the Sultan always has in his hands?
Prayer beads
They are prayer beads known as 'tasbih' Muslims use this to chant a few verses many times a day, as we get old generally we tend to be more religious
Poor bayezid helis fate is leke his poor brother mustafa
I wish hurrem live and accept this pain again and understand her sin and what she did
5:53 selim acknowledged bayezid more than his parents or anyone ever did, that's why he wanted to get red of him

If mihrima's father was selim I, he would have executed Bayezid as well as her because in his eyes, mihrima is super lucky that Suleiman is her father not yavuz selim
The reality was more than shown here. Those who know they know!
Too sad😢
Truth is, the likes of Sultan Suleiman is the reason why the Ottoman Empire stood strong for centuries. A Sultan ready to sacrifice all he have for the empire.
Every sulthan has their evil side this was suileyman
First time Suleiman was taking mihrima's class😂
Mehmet would have been a great Sultan! If it had not been Mahi who killed him😢
Also Mustafa was also good but he used to believe whatever lied Mahi would tell him, a mama’s boy you can say.
In reality he had many diseases... Hurrem's all son had flaw..bayejid was stronger but he was very Rough..
No hurrem son were mamas boys. Mustafa went against his mom many times
Bravo Suleiman!!
