I found it very curious that Cal qualifies Cere as "possibly the most powerful force user in the galaxy." I'm sure that Vader and Palpatine wouldn't be happy about this. I also found it strange to see this new version of the Keshiri and the planet Kesh, as a world currently attached to the Republic. I guess it must be because I still live in the past...
I mean, it's the most you can do with them in Canon, since the "Lost Tribe of the Sith"-story is factually impossible to canonize and it being seperated from the rest of the galaxy through this magnetic field would also be pretty complicated to do.
They actually called out the salt moment from the game, that is fantastic and hilariously funny. I've heard some things about this book that I have some mixed feelings about but I'll wait until I read it myself before I judge it fully.
Mixed feelings is a good way to describe the book as a whole. It had some very nice things, some okay, many quite bad. Generally I did not enjoy my time with it. It's complicated.
I've noticed for a long time, but I'm just saying now that I miss the Star Wars Explained intro. I think it still pops in a video or another, but not largely.
Star Wars explained how come in this novel it’s repeated a lot about lightsabers given off heat like to the point where it blisters his skin when the 5th brother had him on his back but that’s not really been touched on in any other mediums?
@@yarnstead so nothing seemed out of place? Because I 100% the game and caught every reference. And to me all of those details stood out, like even the way Cal fought was described unlike in any other Star Wars novel.
@@DimaJeydar Cal is great, i like him, hope he’s in more stories! It’s cool to see different Jedi with different personalities backstories and fighting styles, liked that aspect, wasn’t fussed that it seemed different! Maybe I don’t know what I’m missing but I think it’s still a fun read (plus more Star Wars always good!)
She called out bad behavior by game directors, and one interview edited her so it seemed like she hates KOTOR when she was actually making a joke. That seems to be it. Not "controversial" at all.
Don’t listen to this guy, y’all. As someone who actually read it, I can say the book is good, and there’s nothing controversial about Maggs; just more overblown drama by the worst side of the internet.
Okay i just finished the book and got to watch this video. I really liked the book it had the same feeling as the game. My only regret is that i had hoped Merrin and Cal would get together. Maybe they still will, a girl can hope.

This book does establish that Merrin is pansexual (at the very least bisexual) and doesn't exactly have proper eyes for Cal or at least hadn't thought of him that way but it also doesn't entirely rule out the possibility just that she hasn't thought of it. Though this book does show how deep their bond is.
Whilst reading, I laughed out loud when Cal mentions the pink poncho and how hard a fight Oggdo Bogdo was, certainly, my favourite Easter Eggs
The fact they actually did a reference to such a deep-cut as Kesh and the Keshiri is just insane.
We need more Hosnian Prime love overall and seeing an Omwati was quite cool.

@@Lr.Laecro.Lirus3445 It's good. Disney have bastardized enough EU content...
@@Ardus_KaineTPA. "Bastardized" is a pretty strong word, you know?
@@Lr.Laecro.Lirus3445 why it would be impossible? I would have just not used Kesh if it's impossible to keep the broad strokes of the story intact.
@@Hello-bi1pm Well, I'm glad they canonized the Keshiri in the best way possible, but maybe it's just me.
Thanks for your coverage
Are the Haxion Brood a Guild House within the Bounty Hunters Guild or a separate organisation without a link to the Guild?

loud negative reviews get the most attention and money. It was good.
@liquidsword601 I'm ok with you being objectively wrong.

Just finished reading it! It was a fun story! I also have the audiobook and I loved all the soundtracks in it

Thats alot of COOL easter eggs!
I would like to see Admiral screed that was in the Droid cartoons appear in this video game
I really enjoyed the book even though I haven’t played Fallen Order
Really? I'm curious if you've found various references to the game jarring during your reading.

Why do you keep calling it the stinger mantis?

Just a PSA. The audiobook for battlescars is really not good, so purchase with caution

@@da-vidcargill4975 im not calling the book bad mate.
Im saying the audiobook’s quality is weirdly bad.
I personally disliked how Merrin's character was sort of "fleshed" out.
Might give this one a miss, the reviews don't paint the book in a good light, plus Sam Maggs is quite controversial
In what way? Book seemed fine to me

When are Cal and Merrin going to kiss? They belong together. I sense it.
