Damn phone & internet inventors
Old school man, love it
If you're a family man, you know there's nothing in the world worth risking missing an emergency call from the wife or kids.
main fallacy to what he’s saying but still could be practiced when with family
Understood but hes honestly most likely well off and his family would have recourses to take care of their emergency issues. Except for well of course his presence but how he said hes doing something in the moment hes there and present. When it comes time to focus on the emergency im sure he will 1000% locked in
Being present > being scared.
I’m a family man and the miniature chance I miss an emergency has a much lower expected value than the 100% chance I will be more present with my family when I’m not on my phone.
@@optimize. or maybe just have it for emergencies while also practicing basic self-discipline? 💀 your family’s lives aren’t worth risking no matter how little the chance
Stop taking it personal just because you always on your phone. His family is safe. The amount of people being on their phones is killing our mindset. His goggins and if his family are in trouble he will be the first to know before you
He’s right. It’s not common to have a conversation with anyone who isn’t enthralled in their phone, tablet, laptop. Takes away from the experience of really engaging with someone.
I prefer to cheat. I listen to music or replay songs in my head. I dont think of the negative i dwell on the positive.
