If they really are releasing that many new Legendary skins ill just be super mad. Because at that point what is stopping them from updating old champions, Zilean would take like 1 week to update. Thats just some bs if they have like 3 new legendary skins but cant give a 15yr old model a fix... Also are we sure the VGU isnt Blitzcrank? -He talks about humans being weak and metal being stronger. He has 0 lore connections or voice lines with other champs, especially Viktor. -Hes 15yrs old, has a terrible model and animation, is an iconic League champ but looks terrible. Lots of new players will see him and his terrible state. -His W slows himself, a simple gameplay update like on Mundo's level would do him justice.
Well updating old champions means updating their whole skin catalogue, as well as voice over and VFX if needed, sure most skins would reuse the base animations but that's still a lot of work. Work that wouldn't be profitable as niche champions tend to stay nich post-rework. Now does the "small indie company" Riot Games have the money to spend on updating champions? Absolutely! But making a gacha skin is a bigger priority and a bigger paycheck :v

The gameplay aspect of the VGU is supposed to be very light. Either way, Vi is in a much better state visual wise compared to Vik. The only other champ that could be the vgu is Ori if she shows up, with Vik's legendary skin be is new design

bltiz gameplay is perfect as it is and would be insane to change it, if he would get a rework it would be an ASU not a VGU

100% not blitzcrank, they said its an important Arcane character and they already hinted that it's Viktor too many times.
Wouldn't Vi be more of an obvious pick for the Arcane VGU?
I think Vi's gameplay is still good enough, while Viktor had to be updated not too long ago and he's still underperforming I think
