WL Toys V922 Micro Flybarless Helicopter test.

- *I love my Nano, but I sure do a lot of fiddling with pitch curves, etc., never getting it perfect for me. So when I heard WL toys (makers of Bubble Trouble quads), I decided to get one and compare the two. No settings can be fiddled with so that is good for me.
I find this machine more tolerable with the settings programmed in that are SPOT on Perfect.
I feel comfortable flying this heli, and for only $129 complete with the Transmitter, I feel it was money well spent for me.

Haha. Well you can ask Jeff. It is a lot of work for sure. Each plane is marked for what battery and each battery is marked for what plane. Most of the TXs I use are within reach, the others.....well..just hang around. Thanks for the comments.
The weights,actually are high pressure release bullets. They are located on the blade,to basically Punch a hole in the pressure bubble near the center of the rotor disk. This allows for much snappier movements as air gets to the tips easier. I have 1 Nano with, and 1 without. I can tell you for sure,the 1 with bullets is really fast on maneuvers. The Non Bullet Blades are better for just flying around easily and doing simple stuff like I do.

Thanks. The Orange TX WILL bind with any dsm2 setup, so no problem. You will like that TX, and it is well lit.

This may have been said before: What kind of fluorescent orange paint are you using on the helicopter, Dave? I use Krylon specialty Safety orange with clear coat over it. Seems to work well for visibility. Plus I like how it looks with your v922's blue canopy. Good color contrast makes it really pop.

Just ordered one. My first cp heli! After flying coax and fp it is time for some cp. Not sure what to expect, no idea how to get inverted.. Great video by the way!

The V911 is a 4 channel fixed pitch helicopter. The V922 is a 6 channel collective pitch.

I think it will, I did a quick look and found that's its 2.4g dsm2 so it should bind with the mcpx. double check throw direction sometimes other brands will reverse through.

I also would be interested in knowing your paint and how you get it to pop. My fluorescent's seem to be much less vivid.

Hi Dave,I enjoyed your review...i love the wltoys quads,but this copter seems to be th e perfect starter cp... I still have a brand new exceed blueray i bought 4 years ago and only flew it a few seconds to a 1 foot hover....Just scared the crud out of me...so this seems my best bet for now

I maybe mistaken but for people interested in the V922 I think I've seen them on Amazon for about $50.00 , just checked and it is the V911. not sure what the diff is?
ok here is a serious question that I am dieing to know... HOW on earth do you keep track of your batteries, charges, transmitters etc.??? You have so many devices how do you remember which battery goes with which plane and which charger goes with which battery!!! etc. etc. you have so much stuff haha!!! : )
hi all guy V 944 AND V 922 IS NOT WRONG IN ANYTHINGS.one things problem is just in server.both copter servo are start working after flashing red light but people don't know this and making adjust in trimming by hand without running the copter so that all servo have damaged and it not working properly and cannot be pitch.

hello sir, just a question? how can i fix my v922 that when im putting positive pitch on idle up, its spinning to right? i cant learn how to flip because when im trying to flip, my heli is spinning :(
hi mr herbert can you put it into laymans terms the cheat switch, does this over ride the idle up? is there idle up? is there much of a tail lag?

Not sure. Is it new or had been crashed a lot? I would try to re bind it. Always turn the TX on first.
BTW, what are you using to paint?

You are a lucky guy getting one of the good V922, mine is from day one crap!
I also have a Blade Nano and Mcpx and a 450 3D so don't tell me I cannot fly.
I had the V922 hovering and then it just went berserk, could not shut it down, and it destroyed itself.Bought a spares set and a new mainboard, and tried again, but now it is even worse.Banggood sells a lot of great stuff, but this V922 is a big mistake, with a lot of people having a problem with it. I am happy with my Nano at least it works
Hello, i got mine a few days ago, i have 2 v911's and i pretty much mastered them, so i thought i was ready for teh leap to 6ch, but im not haha, a couple tings, rigth off the bat i noticed the metal pins on the cables, to connect the batteries and charger where very loose and one ven got pushed out, but thats not a nuisance, i also noticed that my tx, when i would move the sticks areound it would say 0% for certain directions, then 50% for others, and some even said 0% when being pushed all the way, any ideas? I didnt get a sim because i wanted a micro, i figured if i crash it wont do any harm with a micro. any help is appreciated x)
