    Love the scale details of this model!!😊💯 The 5-bladed rotorhead and twin tailrotor system! Wow 😳 Also the functional, 4 doors are too much! What a kit!!😳 All that needs to complete this wonderful, detailed model, is too find a small scale turbine engine too install into the rear canopy!! That would rule!!!

    Wow..The OH6. My dad used to work on those. Years ago I worked at an army surplus warehouse and they 12 crates of engines for this series. I asked the boss to wait til Friday (payday) so I could buy one for $75. On Monday, all happy to buy with money in my hand, he said the whole lot sold for $1,500. I was really disappointed. Figures, Monday. :(

    @krumrick2 Ok... got you. That is true about the increased performance resistance with more blades... what is the approximate headspeed then? Just curioius. Btw... I am buying a Gootch SE V2 (T-Rex clone) on Friday/Saturday. I will have a video up as soon as I can as I won't be able to fly where I normally would due to class size difference. I am so excited! :D

    @krumrick2 That is correct. Until the U.S. supplier went out of business, I had a viable cp heli in my Thunder Tiger Innovator EXP, but since parts are extremely hard to find for that model now, I am having to buy that T-Rex clone I spoke about before. By the way, thanks for subscribing/friending me! :)

    I think aprox. HS of 1800/ 1900...in the video the high mechanics noise come from the vibrations in the tail, already working to solve this.
    Please send link of your video, is always good to know new mechanics, never hear about the Gootch SE before.

    thats outstanding - amazing detail - i wonder if an align afs gyro would help you in getting more scale flights? i have a 250 also and that thing is simply to light - any disturbance in the wind that helicopter reacts it just the way it is. conversely, the 700's I've flown is like flying a cadillac in the air lol..

    @VeryDaringAdam
    Hello,
    This tail stop is normally in the T-Rex 250, there is no modifications on this part of the mechanics, only the rotor tail !.

  • @superbearfur
    @superbearfur 10 лет назад

    Why did the tail rotors stop moving when the main rotors were still moving?

    • @quakermaas
      @quakermaas 9 лет назад

      SuperBearFur There is a one way bearing that drives the main rotor shaft, when the motor stops and drive to the main and rear rotors stop, then the one way bearing lets the main rotor spin freely, this is very useful for auto rotation (emergency landing without power), but for this size helli it is hard to do auto rotation as the blades are very light and hold very little kinetic energy.

    I know I know....I promisse don't do this again...was just to show how easy to fly is this litle bird !.
    Btw...the HS is really slow, because the five blades you have extra lift and the four blades on the tail give you a good tail authority even with slow RPM's.

    Hello,
    To make the cascade tail i used two set of Align 250 TAIL BLADE GRIPS, modified plastic ball links, and make a new shaft using an Align 1mm Allen tool, the shaft had exactly the same diameter of the tool, just need to dismount the belt gear of the original shaft, easy work, just need a bit of patience.
