Love the scale details of this model!!😊💯 The 5-bladed rotorhead and twin tailrotor system! Wow 😳 Also the functional, 4 doors are too much! What a kit!!😳 All that needs to complete this wonderful, detailed model, is too find a small scale turbine engine too install into the rear canopy!! That would rule!!!
Wow..The OH6. My dad used to work on those. Years ago I worked at an army surplus warehouse and they 12 crates of engines for this series. I asked the boss to wait til Friday (payday) so I could buy one for $75. On Monday, all happy to buy with money in my hand, he said the whole lot sold for $1,500. I was really disappointed. Figures, Monday. :(
I had a similar Hughes md 530 I think in a trex 250 years ago but was a regular flybar set up and the doors didn't open but it was a joy to fly. Great little scale bird you have there though!! So nice
nice bird and you are the master as far as flying that good in that wind awesome cant wait to see its new paint job keep up the god work! ,,mygyver overand out
@krumrick2 Ok... got you. That is true about the increased performance resistance with more blades... what is the approximate headspeed then? Just curioius. Btw... I am buying a Gootch SE V2 (T-Rex clone) on Friday/Saturday. I will have a video up as soon as I can as I won't be able to fly where I normally would due to class size difference. I am so excited! :D
@krumrick2 That is correct. Until the U.S. supplier went out of business, I had a viable cp heli in my Thunder Tiger Innovator EXP, but since parts are extremely hard to find for that model now, I am having to buy that T-Rex clone I spoke about before. By the way, thanks for subscribing/friending me! :)
@krumrick2 Do you plan making another scale 250 helicopter? What kind of full scale model do you have in mind? Nice video and I like that tail rotor a lot.
I love it... just don't scare us next time in catching that cp heli in mid-air like that, please! That is ceratinly something I wouldn't do with headspeed in the 2,000-3,000 rpm area. :O
@stot2614 I think aprox. HS of 1800/ 1900...in the video the high mechanics noise come from the vibrations in the tail, already working to solve this. Please send link of your video, is always good to know new mechanics, never hear about the Gootch SE before.
parabéns!!!! muito bom trabalho. Para eliminar o problemas de vibração, a primeira coisa é o balanceamento estáticos de todas as partes dinâmicas e, depois o track das pás...
thats outstanding - amazing detail - i wonder if an align afs gyro would help you in getting more scale flights? i have a 250 also and that thing is simply to light - any disturbance in the wind that helicopter reacts it just the way it is. conversely, the 700's I've flown is like flying a cadillac in the air lol..
Hello mister, first thankyou for de great videos, also i like your clean scalework. I watch al your videos. do you have also a model of a Hughes300? Greetings from Holland jmmvangoor
Do you build the door hinges and the latches Or is there a place to buy them? Your really one of the only people on youtube that has fully detailed the 250 size in scale helis, If you sell these detailed items or know where to buy them I would be greatly thankful to get the info of your source. Many thanks for sharing your outstanding work and the attention to detail. Keep up the great work!
how did you change the spin direction of the mainrotor and where did you get those nice doorhandles . i have bought the same heli on e-bay and want that heli look exactly like your heli . the head is from EP200 Gaui right ? . which flybarless system are you using with the head ? are these stock trex blades on the head ? greatings from germany ...... !!
Realmente um escelente trabalho Manuel,,cinceramente vc havia comentado sobre vibrações mais no vídeo não se percebe nada,,,,agora me diz se não tivesse o 3G ficaria tenso o vôo né!
@krumrick2 hUM INTERESSANTE ISSO, NÃO SABIA QUE EXISTIA ESSE TIPO DE ROTOR NESSA FORMA, ENTÃO MAIS UMA VEZ PARABENS PELO TRABALHO.
SuperBearFur There is a one way bearing that drives the main rotor shaft, when the motor stops and drive to the main and rear rotors stop, then the one way bearing lets the main rotor spin freely, this is very useful for auto rotation (emergency landing without power), but for this size helli it is hard to do auto rotation as the blades are very light and hold very little kinetic energy.
Yu Xiang just released MD 500 RC helicopter with 5 blades. RTF at $160 US dollar. claiming 1/28 th scale they sell under "G-Force", "RC ERA", "FliteZone", "Eachine", "Modstar" brands too.
hey thanks for the shout out i watched the video again today and you scared the crap out of me when the tail boom was getting kind of close to the ground hey stupid ? but is that that the same md 500 that was in the tv show magnum pi? any way me and my bros are anxios to see it inall its glory with a cool paint job and those doors are fantastic we know how long it takes to get them to closr just right hats off to you bro be safe and enjow master peice all the way!!!!! over and out mycyver
@stot2614 I know I know....I promisse don't do this again...was just to show how easy to fly is this litle bird !. Btw...the HS is really slow, because the five blades you have extra lift and the four blades on the tail give you a good tail authority even with slow RPM's.
Hello, Ive watched all of your video's and love the dedication you have for the hobby. Do you keep the many helicopters you've built or do you sell them? I am in love with the little Hughes 500 in this video, would you sell such a well built machine as this 250 size 500?
@bananenfische Hello, To make the cascade tail i used two set of Align 250 TAIL BLADE GRIPS, modified plastic ball links, and make a new shaft using an Align 1mm Allen tool, the shaft had exactly the same diameter of the tool, just need to dismount the belt gear of the original shaft, easy work, just need a bit of patience.
Thanks for the response. I have lost the opportunity months ago... From Brazil is too dificult to look for. This MD-500 is amazing. The main rotor, tail, all.
@SleepEat3D Nice comment, in fact I like to talk about this, the size of this project is good for many reasons, you don't need to expend to much time and need only a small space to work....nice litle project !.
I hover 450 s in me sitting room.... but that's just beautiful...wow 5 rotor head set...very cool n I'm dead jealous...
What a GORGEOUS model! Great job on the details.

Great Jobb, and awesome Vid, You should have Your sugar levels checked though, from Your finger Nail roots , insufficiency is apparent.
Cool, counter-clockwise main rotor with tail rotor on portside, just like a real MD 500!
Nice , looks like you have been very busy with that =)
Very nice work! And nice flying.
That is a sweet little conversion! Very nice :)
Very cool little heli! Great job!
estas loco lo que hicistes, tenes suerte de tener todos los dedos!!
Wow that thing is so cool!!

even when its powering up it kind of sounds like a real helicopter very cool
Great flying man, and very nice Helicopter too ;-) stay alive and happy flying :-))

Gringo Hys /
@krumrick2 Sounds great! Let me know when the project is done or when you post a video about it. :-)
Very cool. Excellent build. Pro job! 😊
Nice job on the build. A lot of detail for a 250 size
That's a glorious little thing I'd be scared to fly it incase I broke it
Is ka price kya rahega

Congratulations!
Beautiful :-) Nice job ...
How much and where do you place an order for it? 🤔💵
im getting my T-rex 700 today im so exited :D
the tail rotor has an independent brushless motor that makes the scale md500 easier to assemble and transmitter up.
.
Lovely machine !
Awesome little scale heli!
Bahut lajawab
valderja 1
I like it how much?where can I buy?
una belleza de escala felicitaciones
Amazing chopper
Sehr schöner Hubi !!

Nice man!
I've built mine with a Gaui 5-blade-head and it works just fine. Wich motor do you use?
Hmmmm...... I wonder if the rc helicopter had a wide angle camera in the cockpit
Where did you get this little heli and how much? Can you let me know please?
how did u make the tailrotor ? which parts did u use ?
@krumrick2 hUM INTERESSANTE ISSO, NÃO SABIA QUE EXISTIA ESSE TIPO DE ROTOR NESSA FORMA, ENTÃO MAIS UMA VEZ PARABENS PELO TRABALHO. QUANDO TIVER PRONTO MANDA UM VIDEO PRA PODER VER ELE NA PLENITUDE
Goood day, what parts did you get to build up the 5 blade head?
Good job

@VeryDaringAdam
Hello,
This tail stop is normally in the T-Rex 250, there is no modifications on this part of the mechanics, only the rotor tail !.
Why did the tail rotors stop moving when the main rotors were still moving?
SuperBearFur There is a one way bearing that drives the main rotor shaft, when the motor stops and drive to the main and rear rotors stop, then the one way bearing lets the main rotor spin freely, this is very useful for auto rotation (emergency landing without power), but for this size helli it is hard to do auto rotation as the blades are very light and hold very little kinetic energy.
excusmee, where did you gat it?
Wow nice copter ;)
How much dollars is it till it looks like that ?
@wrjstuka
Thanks, hope can finish this next week, full paint with external details. And I will post a video of the building to !.
Regards,
Manuel

Fantastic!
Hey, I also want craft me one. But where you get the motors?
good day where do you get this 5 blade rotorhead?
They don't get any better than that.
@stot2614
I know I know....I promisse don't do this again...was just to show how easy to fly is this litle bird !.
Btw...the HS is really slow, because the five blades you have extra lift and the four blades on the tail give you a good tail authority even with slow RPM's.

Hello! Nice heli! Where i can find the custom rotorhead and tail rotors? Thanks!
depends where you are and how much you want to pay for postage , search scale model helicopters and do the research vario is a good place to start
Thanks for the response. I have lost the opportunity months ago... From Brazil is too dificult to look for. This MD-500 is amazing. The main rotor, tail, all.
I'm interested in buying it if you're interested in selling it I would like to have something like that
@BUGGER9946
Thanks man..hope can finish till next week with paint and others details.
@Huebel01
Hi,
I'm using the stock motor of the Kit...but i'm having troubles with short flight time ( 3 miinutes with one (1) 3S 800mhA battery)
I'm German, my English is not good.
How much cost this?
And how many minutes can you fly?
Where can I get one?
I just order my T-rex 250 DFC RTF=)
Where you buy this helicopter at? I want one
@SleepEat3D
Nice comment, in fact I like to talk about this, the size of this project is good for many reasons, you don't need to expend to much time and need only a small space to work....nice litle project !.
hi, are you selling scale heli like this one? i love white color thanks for sharing.
