The roller shutters under the bridge on Shude Hill used to be a pub in the 80's called Barrowboys pub n grub!

I don’t know much about the history of Shude Hill and the bridges with Commercial St. over the top, but I do remember the road being two way and then later one way but with both lanes open under the two spans, as evidenced by the height restriction signs they’ve left on the closed off side.
