- This is Episode #1 of my new playthrough of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of the Roses Redux Mod - But with a new twist!!
We're choosing the hardest starter deck in the game. The Challenge Deck of the Redux. Its BooKoo Time! This episode is gonna illustrate just how tough this playthrough could be... We're gonna be relying HEAVILY on the grind in future!!!

I know I'm incredibly late, but BooKoo deck doesn't look too bad if you can get a proper set up going. Having 3 bookoo flipped would give a pretty massive attack boost to any spell caster including the Bookoo. Not to mention other equip cards, making a pretty beefy monster.

It’s getting crazy but if I recommend anything it’s making a machine or winged beast deck leader, you can get to COL rank within under 10 minutes of skipping turns on custom duel, then you get Increase Movement which is a general amazing ability that helps, no matter what cards are actually in your deck.
Very true!! Movement boost is super OP in this game, its so nice to be that mobile! And I am thinking of possibly running the deck around including Spirit of the Books, being powered up by our Boo Koos, in order to stick to the theme of the challenge and still have a nice powerful deck 😋 so a winged beast deck leader would fit into that really nicely! So many options lol!!

In theme of this challenge, maybe you should do Spirit of the Books turbo? That way Boo Koo will get more points for leadership. Spirit of the Books is an easy fusion, think it's a Boo Koo and awinged beast. The clever thing about it is that you can use the BooKoo that spawns in your summoning area to make another Spirit of the Books, and it carries on like that.
You could always use the Light Spellcasters with an Elf to fuse Mystical Elf which is obvs powers itself up, or Dark Spellcasters with an Elf to make Dark Elf. I suppose you could also farm for Darkness Approaches to abuse the flip effects... Lots to consider!
Hey man!! Thank you very much for the comment!! That is actually an excellent idea, that way we keep Boo Koo around throughout in keeping with that theme, and also, with Mai being the 3rd duel in the campaign, it give us access to winged beasts for the fusion nice and early in the playthrough too!
We'd have to figure out Elves for the Fusion Materials for Mystical Elf, I know that the most obvious choice (Dancing Elf) is reincarnation only now as of the Redux mod. So would have to gain her that way.
Something else to consider is what we should do Deck Leader wise? Spellcaster or Winged Beast? I suppose a Winged Beast in order to maximize the power of Spirit of the Books? Just thinking that Boo Koo remaining as the Deck Leader wouldn't contribute much. And Winged Beasts also gives us Deck Leader Movement boost too? I'm loving this idea man!! Darkness Approaches would be a nifty idea to include as well 👌👌 you have my mind working overtime with possibilities haha!!
@@BLRetro Yes, that's the thing! Especially with Darkness Approaches, Spirit of the Books just gives you a tonne of spellcaster monsters in the form of Boo Koo to make fusions with. I think you could have three Boo Koo, three spirit of the Books and some trash vanilla Winged Beasts to keep deck cost down as its own engine, and then perhaps use a Spellcaster Deck leader to buff the Spellcasters in the deck, as obviously Spirit of the Books gets mad beefy on its own every time Boo Koo flips. If you could somehow get Cosmo Queen that would be insanely cool.
I suppose the other route is to have a Winged Beast deckleader like you say and buff Spirit of the Books that way and use Wind Winged Beasts and Wind Dragons as they share a lot of buff magic cards... Possibly Harpies, possibly some other high attack females to share their own buff cards?

Both of those are great options to be honest, either way the Boo Koos are definitely staying i think, for the buff to Spirit of the Books, it would be silly to not keep them in for the buff that way. Its just a question of whether we go full Winged Beasts, with Boo Koo as support for Spirit of the Books, Or Hybrid Spellcaster and Spirit of the Books. I'm gonna give it a ponder, but those both seem like great choices!

I highly suggest that you level up BooKoo as a VADM rank to get all of the leader abilities and try to get some good cards from 3 in a row because it's going to be a lifesaver for you and also I'm enjoying this challenge that you are doing. I'm also doing it myself and i wish you good luck!
Hi Dranzer! Definitely wanna get a leader to a high rank most definitely, only thing with ranking up BooKoo is that because he is only a 2 star card, he will only strengthen same type friendlies by 200 points, as opposed to the maximum 500 points if the leader is 5 stars or higher. So I'd love to replace him with a 5 star spellcaster asap to ensure we can get the maximum bonus of 500 to our same type friendlies if we decide to build the deck around spellcasters 😋

@@BLRetro the leader abilities that BooKoo gets are Terrain change, increase strength for Same Type Friendlies, weakened specific enemy type and extend support range just a heads up 😋. Thank you my friend and i hope you have fun as well

There's a list of names available that will give you a specific deck if you're looking for it in the redux, nice and useful instead of searching for a name that will work 😋 haha yea custom duels arw gonna be a must on this run man! And hopefully some 3 in a rows definitely! Gonna need all the help I can get with strengthening this deck 🤣

You should duel Deck Master I after K and then back to K after you get some good cards from I.
Sounds like a good plan!! The deck masters are definitely going to be contributing to our deck, they give us some easy cards to buff the deck a bit.. expect us to be making use of them (specifically their leaders) on the next episode 😋

I'll have to check when I'm able to see the list of fusions again, but I think Mystic Lamp and Spellcaster makes Lord of the Lamp? Mystic Lamp and Fiend is what makes La Jinn i think? I speak under correction though, I'd have to confirm that
