I own a 2015 Mercedes B180d, also with 4-cylinders but a Renault engine. 350k on the clock but still running pretty well. Only transmission is a little bit awkward if it's below 0°C, but only if engine is cold. Bought it brand new as a Taxi. I mean there is a little bit of maintenance going on with older cars but it's still worth it.

It's used in A-Class (W 176), B-Class (W 246) and Citan (W 415). Hence my engine is (partly) made by Renault. Also the car dealership told me so when I bought the car brandnew. Only 200 engines and up we're entirely made by Mercedes.
It's probably because the car in the video was mostly used for long distances. Mileage doesn't kill engines, short distances, ie. Lots of heating the engine up and back down does. Taxi engines last forever.

Hi, this car is taxi too. Naturally we bought this car new. Most of the kilometers is from long distance driving. Camsaft and tappets are common problem with the OM654, we have changed those twice. But still, we are quite happy with the car.

I was amazed with w205 when I got it, -28c and started right up. My piece of shit audi a6 wouldn't even try to crank for more than 0.5 sec in that weather
All that irregular rattle is caused by the distribution among a few other things. Getting the injectors and fuel pump fixed with new kits will also contribute to a more silent operation. The lambda sensors also degrade over time and replacing them makes a difference. Then cleaning or replacing the Maf+Map sensors will get the engine to near perfect state in terms of fuel burning. My W211 reached 900k kilometers and I did all I mentioned above. I couldn't believe how smooth it was running after all I said above. Now I use it occasionally but I still enjoy driving it.

What. This MB has half a million kilometers on the clock? I never thought that modern cars would be that reliable. Meanwhile my N52 E90 throws check engine light 50 kms after clearing it with just 220k kms on the clock
@@banaanipuukko and you think I haven't tried? It had vanos codes so I replaced them, 100km later it showed up again. All o2 sensors were replaced but pre cat one throws same errors again. There's also a DISA fault code that I haven't had time to investigate yet. It still shows 10 check engine messages every 1000 kilometres but car runs like a dream and does 0-100 in just 6.8 seconds (6.7 claimed) so I don't think I should worry at that point

i have an w213 allterrain, such a nice car to drive, probably the most comfortable car ive driven. also very safe to crash with, hit a moose at 140kmh 4 months ago with it and walked out of the car without a briuse! best car ive had :-)
@@vladimir2281 213 is a good car, alltho it has issues with nox sensors going bad and adblue issues. only other bad thing i can come to think of is bushings in the front end tend to go bad fairly quick, but all the control arms etc are easy to swap and not even expensive
I have owned W213, W212 x2, W204, W211, W220, W124 and W201. This car has been more reliable than my W211, but that car wasn't serviced very well. I think that W213 is more comfortable than W211. If you compare W213 interior build quality to W211 i would say that the W211 was made more sturdy than W213.
We have had problems with valves and cranksaft. Valves had to be changed in about 250 tkms and again in 500 tkms. The altenator also had to be replaced in around 510 tkms. All four shocks are original. And of course too many Nox sensors 😀

change oil and filters regulary. From 7000 to 10000km and there will be no problems. Avoid those service intervals recommended by the factory at 25000 or 30000km. Those intervals exist for the auto industry to make more money

we have Mercedes GLE350 ,before that ML 350 2014,E 220 2014,ML 350 2007 and E 280 cdi w211 Never had any problem. My uncle bought x5 2018 with 3k and he changed whole transmission due to overheating (15K later). Solution is to buy only Mercedes (when you buy mercedes you need to maintain it regularly)

Get a good W212 many taxi drivers are very unhappy with the w213. Final versions of w212 are the best.

Ever had one of those famous issues of om654? I got my w205 with om654 1.6 160hp and to be honest I was a little scared until I saw this.
What have you replaced to keep it running at 500,000km. My W213 is at 120,000km and I have replaced four shocks and wishbones.
We have had problems with valves and cranksaft. Valves had to be changed in about 250 tkms and again in 500 tkms. The altenator also had to be replaced in around 510 tkms. All four shocks are original. And of course too many Nox sensors 😀

Yes, you read right. Thats about it, we changed the altenator around 500k kilometers. Every service has done by Mercedes dealer.
