Hey just a question! Some guy have this bass and he wants to trade it (his bass) for my jazz bass MIM (4 strings) , do you think is worthy or which one is better?

Hi! you sound great! very nice quick review. Would you please help me to figure out how does this stand in comparison to a MIM Fender Jazz Bass or a PBass? in what situations would you think this Ibanez would suite better? maybe for some modern rock or jazz applications? thanks!

I think the Sr505e will do anything either a P or J will do. It just has a lot more sonic range, and in my experiences Ibanez basses and guitars are a lot more consistent than Fender as far as quality control is concerned.
Not a bash at Fender. I have owned many Fender basses over the years, and I still have a Precision in the house here.
Just an observation that every Fender Jazz or P I have ever played is just a little different from all of the others and the weights vary wildly, while the Ibanez instruments are very consistent. Nearly every 505e feels just like all of the other 505es of the same model year. Weight and balance, fit and finish.

Why three screw points in this Bass's bridge? 2 points for string height measurement but what about third one?

Two for up/down to deal with fret buzz and one to lengthen/shorten the string for intonation.

    Weight of Ibanez SR 505e?

They are usually very lightweight for fivers and well balanced as well. I see the mahogany ones ranging from 8lbs 11oz to 8lbs 8oz.

I got the same bass. I was expecting more to be honest. Not good for slap! I’m selling it by the way
