Hiro looked so happy and energetic in this video. Made me smile.
I think he was showing out for the lady.
I think he finally got some rest....these guys don't seem to stop.
It's the joy of a man who is cooking food he had when he was a boy in his hometown, I think it's because of this.
I've never seen him not in a good mood in any video. He seems like a delight to be around
He got ass.
"OH YES" another line for your action figure
American market always tripping about MSG for no reason too
"Herro, im Hiro the hero"
I think the lady did very well in promoting the product she knew the history and spoke very well.
It doesn't look like it because of all of the editing while she talks
@@lukasbiktjrn4822 true
She looks pretty hot as well tbh
@@stefanlnd6505 agreed 😜
kku2000 except her pronunciation of Worcestershire Sauce. It should be pronounced, “Woostersher,” apparently. That is the proper pronunciation.
Looks delicious! Hiro seems pretty excited in this video!
Don't blame him, Okonomiyaki is Japan's version of Mac&Cheese. It's their comfort food.
You can tell hiro has an affinity for the teppanyaki 🤣🤣🤣 he really comes alive working in front of that thing
True. I see it too. Peace...
wow she can speak Japanese like a pro
This was absolutely fantastic. I love the on location cooking and history. It just adds so much more to the dish itself.
Why do I love seeing Mr. Terada so excited for his cooking? It makes me want to cook some too.
@@DiariesofaMasterSushiChef Trust me, I'm going to try! :)
He was so pumped to cook something from his childhood and be able to speak Japanese with someone other than Mr. Watanabe hahaha. Cameraman learn some Japanese if you have time! ;)
She knows very well and our chef hiro also knows very well very nice video chef and good afternoon
Delicious meal, thank you for sharing.
Those look absolutely fantastic! I wish I knew a cook as amazing and talented as Hiro!
This looks so good
These look so good!
Oh YES! Looks delicious!!
Hiro, you're amazing! Thank you!
Great insight on the intro. Going to Japan in a few months. Can't wait!
Good job Hiro!! Will try this for sure!!!!! 👌👍🏻
I loved the spokesperson. She presented an excellent and informative narrative. And it is always a joy to see Hiro in action. :)
Very good video,
Filmed very well as to be a teaching experience, I have more confidence now to try this, Thanks;
Well done !!
First time I made Okonomiyaki I used their flour, I messed up the ratio of batter to cabbage so it was kind of soggy, but still good. Fast forward to 2 years later I had it in Japan, and my abomination wasn’t even close in comparison, lol. Props to Lizzy, well spoken background on company, and she speaks fluent Japanese ❤️. Awesome video guys, Hiro seemed really happy!
That looks so incredibly delicious good job hiro
excellent video. thank you
I had myself a good laugh at the note of sauces made for the american market being gluten-free
Why?
there is an obesity problem here
Considering the main product is wheat-based....
Yeah, the gluten issue is largely a farce. Celiac disease is not really prevalent, but the wheat based major ingredient in this recipe makes the gluten free issue moot.
pilot4prophet The majority problem with celiac disease isn't what most folks believe, and conflate for gluten-allergy. The problem that leads to celiac disease is that the grains are from seed embedded with pesticides like roundup in the seed itself, so the plant will grow to be almost pathogenically pesticidal and then when consumed by humans cause the lining in the intestines to react in a way that triggers an immune response. The immune response causes the villi in your intestines to retract to a borderline malnutrition state and not pick up nutrients.
It's why a lot of folks who believe they have celiac disease are surprised when they manage to eat grains, wheat, etc elsewhere in the world any have no reaction to it and heirloom wheat etc.
13:18 Hiro was realy proud and happy talking about his hometown. That was one of best episodes! I would like to taste it but I didn't see them in my country.
Love it chef
been making this for a little while just out of my personal interest, seeing hiro do it is so perfect right now
Very simple, but not so bad.
Thank you very much.

Great to know their history. I've had their sauces as staples in my pantry since the pandemic lockdown.
Great food after hitting the bars in Iwakuni. This video brought back a lot of memories. Thanks.

Good Afternoon! Looks delicious Hiro-san!
I'm gonna have to try this.
I just made this using the Otafuku brand as you did. This is phenomenal! I used Napa cabbage. Domo arigato Hiro san! Greetings from Montreal...

Yummmmm!
Thank you for the video .I have a question . Where I can purchase the small spatula or spoon that he use for eating the Okonomiyaki ? Thank you.

Good Afternoon, Hero so happy to see you so happy as always. Do viewers make videos for you too? You are such a inspiration for good cooking. Thanks - You and camera man.

Good Afternoon!
お好み焼けを作ってで幸せになってって私は幸せです
His excitement in this video :)
Looks oishi
Exciting afternoon...
Does Otajoy have a store in Texas? I really want to try their products.
Hiros fun to watch...even if he’s just making a pancake!!😜😜😜😜😜
Does he use a simple flour or a specific mix?
I love okonomiyaki
Hiro great job!! You look so happy. Is that Okonomiyaki just as good as your salt and pepper lobster at Silver Lake restaurant?
love it! I wonder can those sauces be found in Canada? Like hearing Hiro-san speak Japanese! He seemed very much in his element in this vid!
Yes they can, I live in Toronto and get them from J town on Steeles
Lived on Okinawa for a while; miss the okonomimiyaki.
Hiro presentation in this video has a Martin Yan vibe for some reason! :D
I have had okonomiyaki before, but do not recall having it with pork belly. I love it. That looks really good. Hope you and your cameraman have a good afternoon, Chef Hiro.
Theres 2 types. This is the Osaka style. The other one is the Hiroshima style.
How hot should I set the temperature?
This style of is exactly how I saw it being made in the street fair.. a lot of videos show to put the cabbage on top of the mixture but it makes it so much harder to cook, I feel like this style is a lot easier and so delicious still!
I just made it, so good!! I will say that the flour package says to use 2 eggs for 3 pancakes but he uses 1 egg per pancake here. I did the recipe based on the video rather than packaging. Turned out great. Also this way you can just make one at a time instead of 3 :)
That shit look good af Hiro
I'm glad my mouth is closed, or I'd be drooling all over my laptop!
You're Killing' Me!!! My favorite, favorite, Okonomiyaki is President Chibo in Osaka!
I Am Dying for some Chibo Okonomiyaki!!!!!!
At least I have my memories!
Hiro-San, ... Surely some noodle too? maybe some Ika?, Some Tako?
it's however you like it though....
She is so cute, Okonomiyaki angel^_^
He mentioned that there is kelp in this batter mix already, should I still use kombu if I have it instead of plain water or will that be too strong?
Show us okonomiyaki batter mix and sauce in detail. So that i can order it
Your videos are addicting...
oh yess
@5:23 english caption for vegetable shows bitch. "And then bitch suppose." Hahaha! Made me laugh.
I love Otafuku products, but now I appreciate them even more. I never thought about where the company came from.
Looks delicious. Even the plates have the Otafuku logo on them.
Looking at this though, I couldn't help but notice the similarities with Chinese Egg Foo Young. I wonder if there is a connection here...
Similar in a sense that both dishes are created with convenience in mind. They're dishes for people who don't have alot of food but can throw together something pretty awesome. Also not so expensive to make either so good for people who don't have alot of money
Would be nice to see some Oyakodon, With your version of course!
What is the 'powder'? Is it some sort of flour mixture?
❤ from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Thank you Japan now ive just learnt to make it at home buts harder to get ingredients in uk
Baby girl did her homework before this interview, you promoted your company very well .
bet thats really delicious
Can you post a discount code for knife merchant?
GOOD AFTERNOON!!!!!
I never knew the history of the sauce for okonomiyaki even though the picture of their office building that was destroyed is iconic and having lived in Japan. Funny thing is I've never heard of this brand before, the logo is familiar but yeah...... doesn't help that I can't read Japanese lol. I always thought the Bulldog sauce (bulldog brand tonkatsu) was the traditional sauce for okonomiyaki.
