Much like you ... I love my Mavic Air. My P4P, I expect, will only be used when it’s better camera is absolutely needed. At first, I thought battery life and flight time would be an issue with the Mavic Air. Given that video is captured in short “clips or takes”, having 4 batteries in my Fly More bag works fine. Using Epson BT-300’s helps, but the smaller drone still gets lost in the sky. That brings up another situation when the P4P will be needed ... when VLOS needs to cover a longer distance. That being said ... I love my Mavic Air.
hey Jake, Thanks for this video, went out and bought one, while flying north of Fairbanks, it helps even in daylight to keep an eye on my drone. Can't wait for later this summer to try it when it's not so light. love the videos, and thanks for sharing.

Thanks dude - your videos are bloody excellent and very helpful, I didnt realise I could start the drone and use gesture control with zero input from the controller or App, and now I am getting the LED strobe , because you are right , look down and up again and its bloody tricky to find if you are used to something bigger like an Inspire. so, mavic air can fly up to 2 miles distance, but hey, do not fly that far because you cant see it...... so, WHY do drones can reach many miles in distance, but hey, if you cant see it, well, you cant fly that far... i know about the RULES, but, does it makes sense? just answer this, if you cannot see farther than 1 mile, why are they programmed to go farther than 3 miles? like mavic pro...

can you do any sport related 120 fps video with some close ups? jogging would do the trick already, i just wanna know how sharp the image is, if you can for example see the brand on the shoes in the slow mo or if it is all blury, cool video here tho!
You said in the video something about being FAA compliant, regarding dusk/dawn flying. Does this tiny device satisfy FAR 103 ultralight strobe requirements? Also, in then comments below there is mention of red and green color options. Are these also blinking strobes? Conventional directional lights are constant, not blinking. Also somewhat obnoxious: older drones often have lots of light, but not standard lighting. It might be red, or green, or blue, but what does it mean? What is the standard lightiung for the Mavic Air? I did see something at the rear of the machine when you turned it on.

I recalibrated IMU, made sure the drone hovers for a minute or so, etc. I assume I am missing something and doing something wrong. I'd like to see the proper way it should be done. Also, I saw a couple of videos when the Mavic Air automatically returns home due to battery being low and it failed to come back. By the way, I have got Polar Pro filters, great product, thank you.

In the european union there are new drone rules.. the range limit has lifted as long you can see the drone. So this will increase range immensely with out braking any law

It is the same concept of flying an aircraft, your instruments fail you use VFR, your visibility fails you use IFR. Also, it is line of sight that is important, if you are staring only at your FPV on your phone/tablet, how do you see the potential of aircraft coming or anything else for that matter? Honestly......no offense...it seems you do not know the safest way to operate a drone. Line of sight is a very reasonable demand in my opinion.
Well, to be honest, I didn´t see ANYTHING on both takes. I´m sure it has to do with the fact that is a video. Also, I suggest if you but the background music a bit lower, less of a main character in the video is better. But thanks for sharing, good idea.
The radar map mode in the dji app is also really nice way to navigate back

OK, maybe I don't have 20/20 vision, but I couldn't see much of an improvement between with and without the strobe - on the video at least!
It’s very difficult to tell even if the video is in 4K on a 4k tv but to the eye it makes a big difference!!
