This is a very good-looking car. Love the sporty dynamic of it, especially with the 6-speed manual turbo 5 cylinder. Still holds up very well with the test of time. Too bad they are very rare to find in the manual transmission version.
I had a silver '06 T5 and loved it. I switched out the steering wheel and shift knob with Volvo provided optional ones with aluminum inserts that matched the center stack. I to this day regret trading it in and wish I still had it.

We had a 07 v50 which is the wagon version and the T5 turbo was suprisingly quick

Uh acually the IS was a direct competitor the C Class A4 and 3 series
Front wheel drive cars hardly, if ever compete/out compete rear wheel drive cars
