That... wasn't sexist... yeah the show could've benefited from having more female characters in the first place, but these storylines (just Candace and Isabella, though -- Vanessa had her own thing) make sense for the characters in these scenarios. Plus the bulk of Candace's growth comes from outside the Jeremy plot, and Isabella's includes her taking the role of leadership and turning Phineas down. This channel and Cinemasins make passively sexist comments in their videos and then sin random things for being "sexist" like it's only a real issue when they can sin it. And yes, I know these are jokes and it's not meant to be taken as a literal review. This comment comes across much more intense than I intended lol, but yeah. Weird sin to stretch for.
The real problem with CinemaSins is they don't present their "jokes" like obvious sarcasm anymore (like the old "thaaaat's racist" line). Now they actually delve into minute things and try to blow them up like they are real issues while ignoring the context. So now most of their videos have these annoying SJW preachy segments in them.

I'm gonna say maybe, but they still deserve more sins for not doing their research and the fact that assumptions make an ass out of them, and you and me.
That... wasn't sexist... yeah the show could've benefited from having more female characters in the first place, but these storylines (just Candace and Isabella, though -- Vanessa had her own thing) make sense for the characters in these scenarios. Plus the bulk of Candace's growth comes from outside the Jeremy plot, and Isabella's includes her taking the role of leadership and turning Phineas down. This channel and Cinemasins make passively sexist comments in their videos and then sin random things for being "sexist" like it's only a real issue when they can sin it. And yes, I know these are jokes and it's not meant to be taken as a literal review. This comment comes across much more intense than I intended lol, but yeah. Weird sin to stretch for.
The real problem with CinemaSins is they don't present their "jokes" like obvious sarcasm anymore (like the old "thaaaat's racist" line). Now they actually delve into minute things and try to blow them up like they are real issues while ignoring the context. So now most of their videos have these annoying SJW preachy segments in them.

@@SgtSupaman it's the ignoring context that bothers me the most. And yeah, they've blurred their lines between joke comments and real criticism, and it makes those moments just awkward. I don't think pointing out sexism/racism is bad at all, but they don't do it for the purpose of pointing it out -- they do it to make a joke because they think it's "cool" to throw around those words now. Even if that whole tirade was meant to be a joke, it didn't seem to land for anyone in the comments lol. Sexism and racism are actual things, not just buzzwords to twist the meaning of. This isn't sexism, and they'd know that if they A) paid attention to context, B) did the research, or C) asked an actual feminist. I know it's just a youtube channel, but jeez is it tiring
