    The foldcat is a better option if you want to be able to avoid having to purchase a trailer and definitely easier to assemble and disassemble, I have mine in a Lexus gx suv which allows me to drive it into areas where there are no launch ramps. Got it down to 20 to 25 minutes assembly. When we go glamping we have a small trailer for all the rest of the crap that keeps the wife happy like her little kitchenette, her inflatable double bed and the rest of that crap. I just want to go fishing and come back to a happy wife and a few cold beers! I have enjoyed your mod videos but for me i decided that the portability aspect is important so i tried to keep the add on's to a minimum.

    I use an inflatable boat for fishing, this is a good step forward. If you're getting an electric pump, get one with integral lithium ion battery so you can inflate anywhere.

      Home Depot has the exclusive on Ryobi tools. They make a 12 volt system called the one plus system. they have a universal inflator that will do tires or rafts. The cost is about 40 U.S. minus the battery. I carry one in my car all the time and it works perfectly on rafts. It actually has a raft setting for high volume low pressure. I have a bunch of the system tools so this is a perfect fit for me.

    what year is this Aquos twin pontoon? i have mine on youtube video Part I: modifying 6' Aquos twin pontoon with 48"x24" diamond plate.for extra 3" width on each side and 3" at the bow. the diamond plate also stiffing the three alum plates from bending. connecting side plates are not strong enough to keep it straight. also im power it with MK C2 30. have not taken out to the river yet. the hardwares are not quite the same. mine has a slight air lost when keeping in the Garage too long. i will make sure i take the foot air pump at all time. im using 12V 50 amp Mighty Max lithium battery. better to have two just in case the river surface gets too rough. thanks for sharing this video.

    imitation is the greatest form of flattery. With tisr boat, it is obvious to those who have owned Sea Eagle boats that their patent has run out. Not knocking them at all for building it I just think it is nice to build a product that is so good that other companies will basically tweak it just enough to be different and start building. It is always cheaper to let someone else do the initial R&D. Time will tell if they will have customer service like Sea Eagle. Sea Eagle is so good that people come back knowing their are far less expensive alternatives but they will be 100% satisfied because of the company.

      @@TinyBoatNation if set up and tear down is the primary feature (no trailer) are you buying this or a fold cat? or something else?

    • @vanblindguy4600
      @vanblindguy4600 5 лет назад +1

      @@TinyBoatNation i worry the open slats might be an ankle twister plus every time you drop something like lures or weights its gonna be a hassle. Seems like the larger flat deck of the aquos is enough of a benefit to offset increased set up time???

    It assembles in minutes, ya like 60+ minutes. Cool boat if you keep it assembled, not very good for someone who wants a portable boat that they can get in the water quickly. You need allen wrenches and a cordless drill? No thanks.

    aquos has some shitty reviews of peoples boats less than a year old coming unglued everywhere and fucked up warantee service!! keep us informed! hate for people to get scammed by a company that cant quality test their glue and I quote " Every aquos boat produced represents our best effort"

    No offense but next time you decide to do a review. Don’t wear the camera on your head. That shit was making us nauseous. The ocean had more stability lol.

    Hi I was just watching your video and Just for instances you've just come back to your launch point after a long day fishing and now after that , now you have to dismantle the whole thing to fit it back in the boot of your car after you remove the motor and fishing gear etc, Or(??) do you leave the thing assembled and find a trailer to transport it, After watching the all the excess bits and pieces I gave it the thumbs down because it just is not a viable fishing and exploring craft too many parts. So are you going to show how you put it all back in the boot of your car. (?) Bit much for a day out fishing. Sorry !but you see my point, if you don't Oh Well.

      This is a "stuff it in my camper and pull it out for the weekend" kinda boat. Assembling/dissassembling it does get tedious.

  • @ricksmith3571
    @ricksmith3571 6 лет назад +1

    This boat and construction is garbage. Totally unprofessional company and YES even small twigs will puncture this thing. Built in China with no quality control. If you are going to spend 1300 bucks you should get the seaeagle foldcat.

    • @screwyou1903
      @screwyou1903 6 лет назад +1

      Hmm, saw the reviews on Amazon.com for the Sea Eagle Foldcat and three of the reviews talk about air leaking from the pontoon end caps. Hmm, so much for the great quality of Sea Eagle. Here's the link: www.amazon.com/Sea-Eagle-Inflatable-FoldCat-Fishing/product-reviews/B000SKYOCW/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews

    • @screwyou1903
      @screwyou1903 6 лет назад

      By the way, I think the quality on either boat can be sporadic at best. I have to say that there's an awful lot of construction taking place just to build the boat. Too much assembly time for me!

    • @screwyou1903
      @screwyou1903 6 лет назад

      +Michael Lopez. That's good to know about the easy fix. I am curious about the assembly time; care to mention? And do you leave it assembled or do you disassemble and reassemble each time?

    • @UnitedElectric
      @UnitedElectric 4 года назад +3

      There is zero chance sea eagle isn't made in China too
