Star Fox Zero is a 3D scrolling shooter video game developed by Nintendo and PlatinumGamesfor Wii U. The sixth installment in the Star Fox series, Star Fox Zero has been stated by lead producer and supervising director Shigeru Miyamoto as being neither a prequel nor a strict remake of Star Fox 64, while Nintendo later reiterated it was not a prequel while also stating that is was also not a sequel. A standalone tower defense game, Star Fox Guard, comes bundled with Star Fox Zero either as a separate disc in Zero's initial print or as a digital download code in later prints. After a delay from November 20, 2015, the game was released worldwide in April 2016.

I just noticed the music that played at 0:48 is an orchestral remix of StarFox 64's credit's theme.
60 FPS. I can taste every single one. It's beautiful. And that logo introduction at the end is... MMM DELICIOUS.
Reasons why Krystal should have been in Zero (in some way) and should be in future Star Fox games:
1. She is the main female character of the series which is normally reason enough for a character to appear in some form.
2. She has been playable in all but one game and it's variations. In two games she was playable during the story.
3. She is the only permanent female member of the Star Fox team and often the only playable female character.
4. She has appeared in all but one game and it's variations. That would be the first game storyline wise.
5. She has one of the more interesting back stories and abilities. Both of which are underused.
6. She is one of the most wanted female characters to be added to Super Smash bros. She is one of the more popular Star Fox characters.
7. If a character you hate is in a game you can ignore them or even abuse them. If a character you like and enjoy playing as isn't in the game you have no choice at all. It's always better to have that choice over no choice at all.
8. If Nintendo were to get rid of one main character because some people don't like that character then other characters from this series and others could and would be removed for the same reason.
9. If she was in Zero no one would be constantly asking for her to return. There would be a lot less people posting she should be removed from the series as well.
10. Krystal and Fox's son Marcus McCloud secure the long term future of the Star Fox series.
11. Even though I know she isn't that amazing I still like her, I like playing as her and I like Star Fox. I want the series to continue and I want Krystal to be a part of it. I want her to remain part of the team and for all of them to go on many missions together. Whether it's Krystal or not I'm sure there is a character you would feel the same way about and would feel that is a good enough reason for that character to continue on.
I agree with wanting Krystal... but this is a remake of starfox 64 so technically it's way before Krystal was even a factor
+DigitalAnims This game is a re-imagining. Technically speaking Krystal's age and initial appearance has not yet been set within the Zero universe. She could have appeared as a member of the team from the start. At this point it's too late for that which is why I put should have been and future Star Fox games. A lot of the ways she could be added to the game there is no time to do so now. Only hope is a storyline hint or she gets added as a multiplayer character choice if the developers ever add in more multiplayer options.
Angel Fox "re-imagining" "remake" if it's still the beginning of fox McClouds story lore wise weather they redo it completely or otherwise, Krystal being in there is just odd and it will confuse the players who have had Starfox in their lives for a while, so unless they add Starfox adventures in Zero it's not gonna happen story wise. But multiplayer though.. That's a probably.
+DigitalAnims There is that side to it but this game is also meant to introduce newcomers to the series. It would make more sense to have Krystal a member of the team at the start that way newcomers can quickly get to know the full team. If they were to get say Star Fox Command and in that game in the opening slide show Krystal is there. For players coming from Zero with no real knowledge of the series as a whole it would be very weird and confusing for them. I wouldn't advise newcomers to get Command but because it is on WiiU Virtual Console it would be easy for them to find the game and download it. Again it's just a possibility that Nintendo could have made her a team member at the start that won't happen now.
That all being said I have recently heard that some people have emailed Nintendo and Nintendo responded that Krystal will be making a cameo appearance in the game or it's heavily suggested she will. Fox is supposedly older in Zero in comparison to his SF64 age. I believe the response was from Nintendo of Europe. It would be fairly easy to email and ask Nintendo.
Man, I'm so happy that they're maintaining the same cheesy, but ever memorable writing for this game! There are already some gem phrases!

The people who complained about this games graphics when the first trailer came out should not be allowed to comment now.
This happens with every Nintendo game it seems people complain about visuals then literally before release the game looks exponentially better. I think people need to start having an open mind when it comes to first party Nintendo games and don't assume things immediately.

So hyped to see all the support for Krystal on here. Really hoping the next Starfox game has higher production values. I want a deep expanding sorry with deep gameplay and some character development for all of these guys.
Star Fox Command focused on having a deep story and it's the worst game in the series by a wide margin. It also happens to place a huge emphasis on Krystal.
Go play that.

Jordan Sweeto I've played the game. I can tell you, I liked Krystal best in that one. Not in Adventures or in Command, but in Assault.
Damn, people are STILL complaining? First the graphics, then the "not doing anything different", and now "There is no Krystal!"
With that said, I'm really excited for this. I can tell that Platinum really improved on it during the delay. I have a good feeling that Platinum is going to put some signature 'over the top' scenarios at some point in the game.

You immediately assume it's a blind hate. I've played all the games; I know about her character. As you say, she has telepathy; (which we never see used to further the story,) sure. and a magic staff (ooh, such character development.) "story potential" is just a fancy term fans and fanfic writers use to fulfill an urge to imagine an elaborate backstory on something that seems like it does something but doesn't actually. (the old Star Wars universe is full of these kinds of things; your case is far older than you think)
Incidentally, your statement of "the other characters besides don't do anything" seem to admit that Krystal ALSO doesn't do anything despite all your presented evidence. Way to convice us when you can't even be cohesive in your own statements.

For what it’s worth, star Fox zero was a fun game. Just wishing Nintendo gave us a new game for switch.
The original Star Fox for the SNES now has two remakes: 64 and Zero. I hope they make a remake of Star Fox Adventures! (I never played it, but I heard many times that it's an awesome game!)

I really enjoy star fox no matter what style games they are. The only downside to this game in my perspective is the controls. If this ever gets ported to switch, they would have to eliminate the motion controls to aim and instead use the control stick. Even if it doesn't happen, Star fox is my favorite nintendo franchise!

Dear Nintendo
The Nintendo Switch is a great system, the numbers itself doesn't lie. The games were well made and with a large array of 3rd party support. With all that said, for me and other Star Fox fans it unfortunately has the be the most disappointing console generation ever. No new StarFox game came out, not even an attempt to do a collection for 64, Assault, and Adventures. No acknowledgment of the series 30th anniversary. Its depressing.
I get that Star Fox was an absolute failure and I'm not here to say that you should port this game over. You shouldn't as this game has a strong tie to the Wii U and you wish to forget the Wii U ever happen. Not to mention the pain it would be to try and convert it over to switch with those controls. So don't.
Make a new game instead and maybe go at it from a different angle from the others. Strip away the tech demo angle and go for gameplay first. Use 64 as a base, and ask yourself what can you add to it? Ask what you haven't done with this style, what things from previous entries could you implement in a new game? StarFox Command and 2 allows you to switch between 2 or more characters and ships, maybe we can select characters to go with us on certain missions. Assault and 2 included a tye of on foot gameplay, maybe certain levels could have on foot gameplay. Adventures introduced the over bike, maybe that could be a new vehical to use. Krystal hasn't been in a traditional game, I think its time to give her a gameplay role of some kind. 64 had 15 levels, lets bump that up to 25 levels or something.
Steer away from the lylat wars storyline. Let the team face a new threat or maybe bring back some other threat like the Sharp claws or the Aparoids. But most certainly a new threat. Gameplay first for sure but consider a concept of a villain at minimum while working on the game.
The point is to just try and spice things up with out the players having to deal with something they didn't ask for. You let mario, zelda, fire emblem and other IPs be the same but different, focused on gameplay first but StarFox gets trapped in a box so tight, so limiting that it will crush the series to dust because of it. Gameplay first, thats what starfox fans want. They don't want lylat wars again they want Gameplay first.
P.S. Not for me but there are Fans of Star Fox Adventures that would love a new game. It wouldn't hurt to turn the Adventures name into a spin off title for Adventure fans as well as Zelda fans who love that more linear structure.
