A few questions please. (1) Is there a way to remove the Gauges Icon from the Main Screen and return it if desired? (2) How do I turn on and off the Compass Rose feature? (3) How do you look up a map of somewhere that you want to fish and create waypoints on it and it will show up on your unit when you are on that body of water? I believe that I saw you demonstrate that feature. (4) What does it mean when it shows an option to Stop Panning? THANK YOU
(1) I'm not aware of any way to remove icons, are you in simulator mode? (2) Charts menu / my vessel / roses, that will give you the options (3) You can do this from the active captain app and synch to your chartplotter or open your chartplotter charts and scroll to the body of water and mark your waypoints directly. Yes once you enter or download a waypoint it will show up when you are on that body of water. You may have to download the region in your maps to see the contour lines (4) If you stop panning it will take you back to your current location. It's just a way to take you back to your current location after you have moved the chart location so you can see your boat icon. Many of us look around the lake and forget where we are, lol Hope that helps Thanks
Can a livescope lvs32 transducer on a perspective mount give you that picture or does it only work with the lvs34 transducer? Why do they sell a lvs32 perspective mount?
Hi, Rick. Are the maps you're showing us in this video the stock ones that come with the ECHOMAP or upgraded ones? I just got a 73sv and the depth numbers are really hard to read. They're outlined in white and are kind of fuzzy. I like the clear, black numbers I see on your maps.
Yes they are the stock maps, might try going into the maps menu and poke around, the only other thing comes to mind is if your in “night” mode. Not sure?
For me it was having more flexibility and connectivity. I use Garmin products other than marine applications, also the active captain app makes it easy to backup and update the equipment. Lowrance is a great product but it is limited in the adjustments, great plug and play but I like having more control. Can’t speak much on hummingbirds never been around them much.
I only recommend using battery power, input voltage fluctuations can cause problems with the image and possible damage. A good quality supply rated for the load might work but I can’t recommend it. To my knowledge the plus units were a generation prior to the Ultra High Definition (UHD) technology. Is your transducer a GT52HW?
Here's a Link to the Garmin Beginner Playlist containing the video series!!

Thanks Rick. I spent the morning changing my settings to what you suggested from your spreadsheet. Great info and video series.
I hope they work good for you!! Thanks for the support!!
Good job Rick!
Happy Thanksgiving Gerry!!
Another great info packed video, as usual. A safe and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. TTFISHING.
Thanks Mark, got a week’s vacation!! Be safe.
Great video. We fish the same lake.
See ya out there Dale!!
Once I network 2 graphs together with live scope can I still see down scan and side scan on one while looking at livescope on the other one?
Hi Mark, yes you should be able to split the screens as needed between the two transducers

Hello mark, you can plug both transducers into the unit at the same time and use both types of sonar

Tempted to pull the trigger on the 73sv. Why did you choose it over comparable Hummingbirds and Lowrance? Thanks.

Is it alright to use a regulated power supply with a factory power cable? My unit is the 106SV+ what does the + stand for. Thank you

@@DoubleTFishing My Transducer, as per the box information is a GT54UHD-TM
That’s a UHD transducer 👍🏼I’m out of town so I can’t go look at my box
How do I order the Garmin guide book
Go ahead and send me an email and I’ll attach the updated sheets doubletfishing@outlook.com
