    I love this series. I just purchased the 106sv and the 93uhd. Can't wait to get on the water and spend a few days learning and getting to fishing. Then next year decide on panoptix or a 3rd unit. Good stuff!!

    This is a very good video, however I am not at that level yet. Hopefully one day I will have two so that I can set them up like this. I know what video I will be watching (again) when that time comes. As always, I learn a lot from you and your videos brother, thank you and keep the content coming 👊🏻💥

    I am not showing the preferred devices list. I have 2 93sv with 1 on the bow and 1 on the console. They are networked together but for some reason I am not showing but 1 unit in the device list. Any ideas. Your videos are very informative and I have followed them using the Garmin network cable from the console to the Bow unit and the transducer is plugged into the Console unit.

      Hi Jon, are both units power on, one unit with an active captain card?
      Do you get the preferred sources button on the communications page on either unit?
      Below is a more in depth network video

    I finally pulled the trigger at the Black Friday sales. I purchased 3-106sv Echomap Ultra units and the old Livescope LVS-32 at SENSATIONAL PRICES. I am glad that I waited. Huge savings for those who wait. I think I will place two at the console and one upfront for Livescope. Or should I use two upfront and one at the console? Please advise. Thank you.

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  2 года назад +2

      If it were me and my style of fishing I would have two on the bow. One pretty much dedicated to livescope and the other for maps and traditional. My thinking is it is much easier to switch screens at the console than the bow with a rod in my hands. I’m not much for idling and scanning the water for hours, if you are then two units on the console makes sense so you can keep a dedicated screen on clear and side vu while having the other on maps monitoring depth and contours. All depends on your fishing style I suppose. Glad you waited and got what you wanted!! Thanks for supporting the channel

    Super informative and easy to digest! Thank you. I've just started getting ready to fresh water fishing again, a total knee replacement motivated me to get a Garmin 93sv to speed up my rehabilitation. Since the 106sv went on sale, I picked up a couple. Here comes the question, now I have a couple of the GT54UHD transducers since I also purchased a GT56UHD transducer. Have you ever used a transducer in the bow of the boat at an angle mounted on a Livescope type pole? I've seen guys jigging straight down under a transducer mounted to their trolling motors but never angled further out to see in front of the boat. I've got these transducers and would like to recoup some of the cost, one way or another. A "poor" man's type of Livescoping....Another S. Texan thanking you again for all your great video's.

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  2 года назад +1

      I’ve thought about it but the information lags and wouldn’t move like livescope. Also the cone angles wouldn’t match up too well in a horizontal position. You could give it a try but I’m sure folks smarter than I have tried!! Have a great day!!

      @@DoubleTFishing Thanks for the reply! It's one of those questions you do but don't want to ask.... I've got to many GT54's with all the sales going on.....

    Help. I don’t have the preferred sources as an option.

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  Год назад

      Hey Kevin, you won’t get the preferred sources without at least 2 transducers connected in the network. If you have both connected check the communications “marine network” to see if both chartplotters are listed. If not unplug and reinsert the Ethernet connections. This video may help

    Sir can you help me, my 106 is not saving my settings whe it comes to brightness and range on down view, when i restar my unit range goes back to 100ft and brightness goes back to auto med, is there a thing I'm missing?

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  2 года назад

      I don’t think there’s anything you can do about that. That’s what originally drove me to set up the brightness to the “on screen control. Except for side vu I run my range in auto.

      @@DoubleTFishing that is crazy so yours does the same thing? I come from a humminbird and any setting changed stayed in the fish finder memory, so with garmin every time you go out on the water you have to change you range back to whatever depth you want? Thanks for the help

    Double T will a Garmin 93sv uhd work using a Dewalt 20 volt battery?

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  2 года назад +1

      My manual states 9vdc to 18vdc, I wouldn’t recommend going to 20v. Another subscriber mentioned using “step down Dewalt dc converter 20v to 12v 180w” you can get on eBay but I have no experience with that product. Or how well it will protect your electronics if it short circuits. You do have the fuse in the Garmin power cord for over current / fault protection. Expensive electronics equipment, be careful. Others may have some experience or call Garmin 800 800-1020. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you

      In simulator mode there are many options that may not be available for the hardware installed. Use the simulator to tweak the existing settings works great!!
