- Walter “Superbubz” Herbert became a household name in Cincinnati during his short but impactful life. The little boy’s inspirational battle with Stage 4 neuroblastoma raised awareness about pediatric cancer.
During his final days, the community helped him live out some of his biggest dreams, some of which included: graduating high school, meeting Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto and becoming a police officer for a day. Superbubz may have lost his fight, but his impact on the community lives on.

Dragon Heart the thing is there probably IS a cure think about it scientists who find the cure always “randomly” die as soon as they will share it and tbh the government probably has it and doesn’t want to share it with other people
ツC1BB3R that’s not true. Cancer is different on an individual basis. A treatment that works for one person may not work for another. There are hundreds of variants of cancer and it always is changing. Cancer is a mutation of our own cells that stops something called “apoptosis” in which cells commit suicide to keep the natural order of things. If apoptosis is turned off, the cells will never die and will continue to rapidly multiple until you have cancer, which will kill off other healthy cells to survive. Every case is different and there may never truly be a cure for cancer until we start using things like CRISPR to edit the cells in a molecular way.

Nasa itself has created a satellite that can predict the soil’s fertility with amazing accuracy and it is available for free globally. This helps those within impoverished counties in which one bad harvest can lead to death. Nasa doesn’t just focus on going to mars or populating other planets. That is a goal, but not a realistic one right now. Medicine and astronomy, astrophysics.. etc, are two completely different fields of science.

This is so sad. The fact that the child knows that he is going to die and is still smiling throughout is so compelling this must be so hard on him and yet he takes it in stride. It really moved me that he has excepted the fact that he will must likely not survive is probably so hard. The parents must be so sad.They are loosing their small child. I never realized that I am actually so lucky. This is just so sad, yet he looks so happy. I just don’t get this. This is so moving. I hope they do find a cure for his sickness. The amount of people that care is so nice, he at least does know he will always be remembered

Childhood cancer is the devil. But Walter experienced much more love and kindness in his six short years than many do in a lifetime and has left a legacy of love in return. Prayers of comfort for all who loved him. He is with Christ now in a place of perfection, and deservedly so!
