He can't live with the idea of going back to how things were before Louis. Louis has become like a son to him, back then he was a different person; a worse kind. Then Louis came and he changed for the better. He staged his own death so that Louis won't ever come back to the Black Market; after knowingly killing a member of Shishigumi. Big cats know when they're about to die (the mangaka noted this trivia in the manga), Ibuki knew his time was up and until the end, he died protecting his boss.
This whole damn song is like a bittersweet lullaby showing how happy louis made ibuki and how much ibuki loved louis, like father like son I guess
