Sadly my local GameStop looks like they hate games. They never have anything. The nicest GameStop close to me is 30 minutes away. It’s huge and actually has more than 3 games on the shelf and an angry cat sitting in the corner begging for a pizza crust.

there are 6 gamestop in the area around me and none of them are worth going to, even for the online part
none of the games they offer that would be interesting are near me

Yea my one game stop didn’t face a lot. But for building a collection, these sales are great!
I recently suspended buying PS4/5 & Xbox One/ Series X discs for collecting purposes because it has been proven these games will not work once server support for them has been discontinued (regardless of owning the physical disc). Might be next year for some titles, maybe 20 years for others to lose support but I'd rather put the cash in on retro games up to and including Game Cube era that will not require an Internet connection and will only see values go up. Now I only will buy current console games physically if I have the intention of playing that title immediately... where in the past I would just buy and buy to have on my shelves.
Yea… I thought about that too for that very reason. But I also think, just like collecting anything else, it’s a chance you take as no one knows the future. Old game values could tank. Then you’re left with a pile of plastic. So either way you could be left with a pile of plastic.
I agree but for some reason the values on Xbox One and PS5 games or holding their value better than PS4 games.
If collecting is your thing, best to invest in Xbox 360 and Switch as good time to do so as Xbox 360 is playable on disc without an internet connection and most games are easy to come buy and haven’t skyrocketed yet but will soon.
The Nintendo Switch is more affordable to collect for vs GameCube and majority of Switch games are playable fully on cart without need to download game or games if in a collection. Most of the Wii U catalog has been ported to Switch so collecting for Wii U isn’t necessary with exception of some 3rd party games that haven’t been ported to switch like Devils 3rd, Splinter Cell Series,etc.
I have found some amazing deals for switch at Walmart for 10 and 20 dollars like Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Kirby Allies All Stars, Pokémon Shining Pearl, Fire Emblem Engage and advance wars reboot camp 1+2..
From a collection standpoint,
Nintendo Switch is probably the best to collect for and flip games in the 4-5 years as cartridge based games are more expensive to produce than blu ray discs and less susceptible to damage than discs. Low print runs for a majority
of titles vs amount of switches in the market. That means as the games are discontinued and becomes rare, there are more buyers in the market to sell too if a title becomes popular after it’s no longer available and people will want a physical vs digital copy. The downside of owning physical media in the next 10-20 years is that generation of gamer will have already been accustomed to making majority of purchases digital and therefore the market for people wanting have a physical games library will shrink as well. I will pass my library of physical media to my kids and sell what I don’t want to just get thrown in the garbage after I pass either
@@kingdom2532 that is correct but some Xbox One games aren’t compatible with Series X or Series S due to differences in architectures and same with PS4 compatibility with PS5
Destruction All-Stars is worth a buck at best and only because you could reuse the case. That game was the quickest of all PS5 games to get pushed out as a PS Plus free game and I don't know anyone that left it installed more than an hour 🤣
But see these are the games that will be hard to find in the future. Because they were short run physical copies. Think about the others like Godzilla for ps4 that were horrible games, but games to have now as a collector…
@@thetechbuzz Destruction All-Stars is one that particularly hits me because it was the game I had pre-ordered as my PS5 release day launch title. Thank god it got delayed as it might have soured my whole experience with PS5 which has been really good overall.
Sadly most of these games weren't in stock at my gamestop but just so you are aware Titanfall, Playerunkowns, and Deathloop are kind of bad pickups tbh. Not sure if its Titanfall 1 or 2 but I've seen both at my Gamestop for less than 3 dollars for like 3 years now. Deathloop is frequently sold at like 10$ even on eBay. Playerunknowns is a bad buy because its now free to play and requires no purchase to play. Otherwise great pickups that I wish my store also had
A lot of the games weren't at the first Game Stop I went to. Well if you're collecting physical, free to play through Xbox pass is not ideal. Any game at those prices is good to pick up just for collecting, I agree if you're not collecting, some may not be good to pick up. Thanks for the comment!

Not just for a RUclips video. If you’re a collector, or if you’re buying these games to trade or resell (if you’re into that). Most of these games come in over $6 so you can spend less and get enough to trade if you don’t like these towards others. Don’t forget these are pre owned and there are a ton more. I just didn’t get them, because I wasn’t interested. Others got different games.

Lets take you out to gamestop right now" that was at the 32sec mark and THEN 5 minutes of game scrolling at gamestop and music lol the actually answer to what ganestop did takes 6 mins to get into lol im just sayin good clickbait video

You need to change the title of the video. Most people woild look at the title and probably think you have something negative to say, but it's only positive content so maybe again, change the title and prove to all those who are very negative about GameStop that it's actually a really good store.
I don’t think it’s a negative title. It’s all perception. I genuinely couldn’t believe they did this. No hate or negativity. Just a fun video.
Maybe just my needjerk reaction but there are just so many videos out there with negative headlines regarding GameStop that it gets people to click on the video, like me 😀. But I do think GameStop is a good company and good things are on the way as well so kind of tired of the negativity. But great video you posted and thanks again.
@@AKoss139 I agree. I’m non bias. If they do good, I’ll state it, if they do bad, I’ll say it. A lot of my friends who do content and GameStop videos are the same. Like @mrwrightway @gamerahmer and @neoness we just love games and don’t want people to miss out on an opportunity to score games to build their collection.

They brought the pre-owned section back I THOUGHT the 🎮 companies didn't like that becausecof losing 💰💰 . WELL it's still a good time yo get OUT there and start buying .
