Very interested in seeing how this turns out. I'm curious if they'll have enough content/dungeon variety to hold people over between updates. Maybe that'll be where the modifiers come in to help supplement. This looks great. I'm 100% buying it. Haven't heard about this anywhere yet but I'm an avid Mythic+ diver and this is totally where its at for me. I think they made a really good choice by focusing on dungeons. If they can pull this off, they'll find a lot of success.
You should check out the recent interview the CM did with a content creator. They give way more detail than the announcement trailer like curses/ascensions/etc. Looking forward to the game!
A scoreboard alone will not draw in competitive players for the long term. Much of the reason people do this specific type of content competitively also goes with "flexing". If they can't flex their power to those outside of their group interest will drop swiftly. They would have to build a competitive esport up from the ground and/or have some form of team pvp, or probably both. It would have to catch on outside of the game itself.
I'm starting to get more curious how they're going to pull that off after watching some of the recent interview their CM did with Rurikhan. I'm going to do a proper watch later but if I heard right, after players reach max tier gear/progression, the end gameplay loop seems mostly centered around the leaderboards. I'm hopeful they're also planning to incorporate some kind of seasonal aspect to content that they just haven't talked about yet, because I also agree that leaderboards themselves don't sound super exciting.
I do love a good MMO, all aspects but End game is Dungeon/Raid. taking out all the MMO and solely concentrating Dungeons, making them plentiful, challenging and enjoyable could be a Huge Win . looking forward to this one
@licketysplit2575 totally agree. The concept has me hooked. Whenever I play wow I always gravitate towards leveling through dungeons just so I can get to the high level dungeons and raids 🤣
I get that this is primarily a PVE game, but I think battlegrounds and arenas could synergize pretty well here. You focus on all the content people dread through the grind to do. Profit.
@VBlood-ekah I'd love to see a few BGs as well but I'm not sure what there plans are on that side/if they would even consider dipping into it. They might see it as stretching themselves too thin
@@VBlood-ekah Eh, I kinda disagree. I think there's enough PvP Hero games, but there's not a lot of Co-Op PvE ones. I'd rather they just focus on getting it right.
So youre posting this after the alpha has ended but are still promoting to sign up for it...does this mean I should still sign up for the potential next one? Or will there be a different sign up period for the next one
Yeah I would sign up anyway just in case. They haven't said anything about opening up new signups for future tests and the same alpha signup button is still there. But if they do a whole new signup they'll probably post it on their discord and site so either way, we should be good.
Games industry needs to slow down. I've barely just started wukong lol. Also, I'm going to be the best rogue in this game when it comes out. Mark my words
? Do you know how many people like parts of WoW but not WoW itself because of how badly Blizzard dropped the ball? A fresh experience without predatory monetization (hopefully) being shoved down my throat sounds like a good deal to me. And if they go crazy with cosmetics in this game, at least people wont be able to drop 100$ and buy max tier gear.

My only wish is I hope there are *small* cosmetics or skins for heroes you can unlock by clearing content.
Just something to show off.
@@Lamplordable Same, that would be awesome. Especially if they end up doing raids. That should 100% be a thing
Not sure where you keep finding these types of games, but keep doing it :D

You know how long I've been waiting for this? Woo, I'm about to make a name for myself here.

Will this be on Steam? I'm not a big fan of the Arcgames launcher
They haven't said anything about Steam yet
the alpha was great. I loved running wyrm cave to try and get my tier chest XD

@@Lamplordable Yeah. I guess that's true.
The fact that you couldn't create your character was the biggest turn off for me.
Yeah that part was a big shame :/. Buuuut, I think I did see a ranged character in one of the trailers. Might be the one for me
Adored M+. Looking forward to this game. Looks promising so far.
cool concept. will keep an eye on it. thanks
If they hurry up, this might just be the game I play after I'm done with The War Within 🤔
Will there be mounts? That's all I'll need.
Yep! There's mounts, according to discord chatter.
is there any way to get approved for the alpha now? will there be preload?
no one knows yet

@SerMedieval yea i figured no harm In still using the old alpha sign up
interesting...
aww man hyped then said no character creation, big bummer for me.

No character customization is a hard sell for me.
If the video is sponsored, there shouldnt be adverts for it.
Idk why i havto watch 3mins of adverts for something that is sponsored.
@mis8866 not sure if I misspoke somewhere but only the instant gaming part is sponsored.
So its mythic dungeons?
Um? Ok? Just play WoW? Lol this game is dead on arrival, come up with something fresh, not recycled from another company.

Why play this when there is WoW and this is trying to be WoW
Looks exactly like WoW meaning looks like shit
I will be keeping my eye on this one.
ew. what is this?? game looks ash
