Thank you for the clear video. Beautiful clean machine you have there. Tell me, I see you started the bike before switching on the fan, does the bike have to idle for the fan to work? I tested it by grounding it out while the bike was off and it didn't start the fan
Hey thanks man. Yes for the fan to run the bike needs to be running. Having the key in the on position won’t turn the fan on unfortunately. When doing this mod I was curious if that would work but it did not.
@@floridatrailrider305 thanks for the reply. Okay cool, I spent about two hours last weekend after getting my bike trying to test the fan/sensor but nothing, didn't even think of starting the bike🤦🏻♂️. Will quickly give it a try tomorrow. I'm definitely going the switch mod, but is will be nice to know it will still work as it should if I forget to switch it on.
No problem. I’ve been riding already with the fan switch off and the fan still kicks on like it should. That’s why this mod is cool because you can turn the fan on when you want or leave off and let the coolant sensor turn the fan on.
The video should be helpful enough, tap into ECT wire and connect to one end of the switch. The second wire that leaves from the switch goes to ground wherever you prefer and you have control on the fan.
Very informative video, doesn't anymore straight forward than that. That is one clean 450R!
Thanks Riggs, much appreciated! 🤘
Hey awesome 450er! Love the mods on it! I just got a 2014 and looking for some inspiration to build it. Have you done a walk around on this quad yet?
Thank you 🤟 I’ve been thinking of doing a walk around and I will do it soon to help you and whoever else get some idea’s for their builds.

Thanks man, in the back I have MXR6 18x10-9 and the fronts are RAZR Cross 19x6-10
The wheels front and back are DWT.
Hey man i just bought an 09 trx 450r and it runs so hot after just a little bit, can you do a step by step video??

Does this work on the kick start model?
Yes it should. Long as you have a ETC sensor you can do this mod.
@floridatrailrider305 cool thanks I appreciate it.
Whata the link for the switch you got?
Couldn’t find the link for the one I have but it can be any On/off switch with 2 pins.
@@floridatrailrider305 okay thank you
Cause man my exhaust gets so how, it glows red, hoping this will help it
