Bikes runs good but still needs some minor tuning. I like the 39FCR carb & I don’t think you can go wrong with either carb. The 05 is bigger by 3mm so possibly would be the better choice.

@floridatrailrider305 ok thanks. Maybe I'll give the 450R carb a try first. If I don't like it for whatever reason....then I'll go the fcr route. That's a bad-ass 400ex you have. Mine is on its way, but needs a lot more $$$ thrown at it. Looking forward to some more 400ex content.

213cc more and being lighter helps. If your bike is tuned & geared correctly you should be able to compete out the hole but the 700 should have more top end.

So if I were the same weight then we would prob be even then. But that's really true tho? A big bore fully built trx is what it takes to compete with the raptor on the high end? I've always read that the 450s were only 2 less hp than the raptors and that the raptors didn't start pulling on them till like mid 5th gear. That wasn't the case with us. I know I prob will pull a tad bit on a 660 tho I'm sure or maybe be equal.

Depends on a lot of things, carb and cam even valve setup and mami sure everything is properly tuned and even sprocket gearing, raptors always have a advantage in a straight line but not really on the trails and track.

For sure man. I rode his and I don't like the way it feels. It's a machine that I would add to my collection but now have as my main bike if that makes any sense. I'm all about performance. My trx just feels so much better performance wise. But if I ever start drag racing I think I might be going team yamaha lmfao. But yeah nothing feels as good as a trx imo and the yfz is pretty nice feeling too.

@ yeah everyone has their own preference but the TRX is a great sport quad and very capable.

Thanks! These are some local trails we have near the property in Naples Florida, it’s all undeveloped land which sucks cause all these trails will be gone eventually.

Hey, I found that cover in the 400ex group on facebook.

There’s some trails in Palm Bay aren’t legal but a lot of people ride there but I’ve never been, best legal place to ride near you is probably Croom or Ocala national forest.

Yeah we try to make it once a year up there, follow our Instagram we always post where we’re going to ride next so you know when we go.

I bought those air shrouds a couple years ago on eBay. I’ve tried looking for them again but haven’t been able to find them.

Thanks man! The handle bar risers/ bar clamp isn’t made anymore. Mod Quad had made them & the grips on the bike are ODI grips.

@@floridatrailrider305 What did you do with the clutch switch? because after i remove my stock clutch lever i had two loose wires that i dont know where to put

You can cut them or connect them. By connecting both wires it allows you to start the bike while in gear. If you don’t connect the wires you can only start the bike in neutral. Checkout video for help ruclips.net/video/Dj42SyryqQ0/видео.htmlsi=MKfi1fS018npk0bs

It’s a battery box cover from the TRX450 that we made to fit on this 400ex. Small modifications were made to make fit. Feel free to message us @florida_trail_rider via Instagram for more details.

The seat material is kind of a fake gripper texture. FourWerx has quality seat covers which is pricey but Enjoy MFG is also a good seat for the 400ex. The handlebar clamp/mount was made by quadtech which doesn’t make them anymore.

@floridatrailrider305 ahh gotcha and yeah I was able to find the bar mount but your right then don't make them anymore, which sucks cause that's a perfect solution for key relocation.

The shocks are great, big difference in the trails. I would recommend to go with the plus for more adjustability & it’s only 100 bucks more.

I never cared for a stabilizer until I felt the difference on the trail. Helps with severe handlebar jerk on rough trails and you’ll feel less fatigue on long trail rides. It’s a worthy upgrade.

It’s worth it! Do it! It has challenging terrain with the Whoops but the campgrounds are great and in my opinion it’s the safest and best Atv/dirt bike park in Fl.

@@floridatrailrider305 yes , I go to lazy springs gets there at 7:20 ride at the track until 10-11 I’m dead then go home .

Rear shock can be adjusted for any riders weight from Elka. These questions are asked before they send you the shocks.
