The XW-PD1 is capable of so much more than meets the eye. Easy to start, but a steep learning curve to make it sound good. I started using it as a sampler for some beats now. The effects are also off the chain! Just use a 🎧 and it sounds 👍.
I bought the PD1 for my son 3 years ago after demoing it at Guitar center. I remember he also cried because I was hesitant to get it for him cause he so young. Once he saw how complex it was he gave up on it. So it was like a give to myself. I'm just learning the damn thing now. Super impressive once you get past the learning curve My frustration comes from the fact that the loop sequence starts too soon and It quantizes my beat for me. Is there a way to extend is so that it states the loop later in the beat?
I had gotten the "red one" a few months back , mainly cause a 75% off sale, got it new in box (I had been looking at it since it was first revealed at Namm show like almost a year before, sorta an impulse buy I couldn't refuse as I love drum machines and collect them as well as produce music. I'm no DJ, but after seeing this video, I think I really need to get the black one now for the scratching ability along with such a cool controller set, looks like having both connected is beast! Very Great product demo!!!
me too! Ive only just discovered the red one ! i have had a XP w1! fo nearly 4 yrs but now i have found this Vid .The red and the black scratcher ,i have got to have them both!

You are looking for one Maschine to "do it all" get Maschine Studio (yea it seems expensive at first but for all it does and all you get with it-that and your computer is like all you'll ever need to make the best beats you've ever made, seriously.
