Not everyday we see a youtube channel with useful information and RESULTS!! You teach and show us everything you know and this is amazing! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!!
I watched the video 5 times already in the past 5 months. There is always a little detail that I have missed or forgotten. Since then I went into a grafting spree. The guy is excellent, not everybody that knows a lot can transmit knowledge that good. That's a great a skill not everybody has. I think he should write a book. Like a compendium with the most important subjects: brief anatomy and physiology of the plant, different varieties and requirements, way to grow them, diseases, pollination... basically all we newbies want to know. It will sell like water in the desert. And... he can get support from advertisers just to be cited in there...it is a no brainer.
Thanks Bryan, I always try my best to mention every step as I go during my tutorials. I always imaging what I would want to hear from myself if I was learning this same technique and regurgitate it out for everyone to learn! I hope you are doing well Bryan, always good to hear from you.
It's wonderful how you help and explain things so everybody who is watching your videos understands and you're very clear about what you say I think I speak for all of us thank you and we will all continue watching your videos and hopefully support you more
thank you so much Richard for sharing this wonderful and very technical ideas, this is the best of the best tutorial of grafting/cloning a DF I've ever seen. i wish a million subscribers in your channel.
You’re awesome brother!!!!!🤙🏼💪🏼 Thank you for all your videos and cool techniques. I just started into the Dragon Fruit business and you’ve helped us so much. These techniques are now underway as we speak. And yes, they actually work100%!!!!
Ok I'm subscribing I love😍 dragon fruit and want to learn more about grafting, and you make it easy to learn.👍 Greedings🤗 from Phoenix Az.Thank you for sharing!😊
I really love this video. I have to get a dragon fruit plant first cause I dont even have that but I truely love the Yellow dragon fruit and would love nothing more than to grow them. I live in a rural area of New Mexico so they are hard to find but I will keep trying. Thanks so much for your channel .... It gives me great hope that I can do this too!! Thanks you again!!!!
Since the yellow dragon fruit plant do not have a strong root system and thinner branches... which is better? Grafting the yellow DF on a strong rootstock or not graft, just let the yellow DF grow on it's own?
I’m learning about grafting dragon fruit I saw what you did with a fruit that has a little bit of steam that is Aswan. I will go look for dragon fruit with a steam at the fruit market
Hi Tiwi, I normally would graft all the way until the middle of November. Once it gets to the end of November I stop grafting. My latest graft ever done in the season was Novebmer 11th 2018. They survived the winter and grew super fast when spring came.
Aloha Richard...love your vids...I'm starting a Dragon Fruit Farm on the North Shore of Maui...what type of "Grafting Tool Set" should I have? Mahalo...Thomas
Hi, thank you for sharing your knowledge in dragon fruit, I always watching your videos, im from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and i have a dragon fruit farm, have 3 varieties of dragon fruit, I hope i can visit your dragon fruit trees someday 😊
Richard, please try to graft using the fruit spines! Choose the most immature fruit and it may works. Other kinds of cactus can sprout from the immature fruit too
@@GraftingDragonFruit I watched the video. Actually, my suggestion was to use the fruit spine (these bulges in the own fruit), not the cladodes spines!
Hi Richard, I just bought my first two American Dragon Fruit plants. I love these dragon fruits and would like to start growing them. For this video, what do you use as the base for grafting. I am new to growing anything so please bare with all my upcoming dumb questions.
Hi Cuong, it doesnt matter if its front or back. I just do it this way because it grows the way the rootstock is established. If you aligned it incorrectly they will still bond and grow new shoots. It just makes things look better when you align it with the correct side. But, either way it will still work if you don't. I have made many mistakes and still had success from it. Good luck and happy grafting!
You are greate. Can you please tell where we can get different varieties of dragon fruit cuttings. How many varieties you have. Which one is the best one. Thanks.
Hi Richard, I watched your tour Edgar Valdivia’s dragon fruit farm, I live in Santa Clarita Ca. I’m not too far from Simi Valley. I’d like to buy the red dragon fruit cuttings
