Not everyday we see a youtube channel with useful information and RESULTS!! You teach and show us everything you know and this is amazing! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!!
I watched the video 5 times already in the past 5 months. There is always a little detail that I have missed or forgotten. Since then I went into a grafting spree. The guy is excellent, not everybody that knows a lot can transmit knowledge that good. That's a great a skill not everybody has. I think he should write a book. Like a compendium with the most important subjects: brief anatomy and physiology of the plant, different varieties and requirements, way to grow them, diseases, pollination... basically all we newbies want to know. It will sell like water in the desert. And... he can get support from advertisers just to be cited in there...it is a no brainer.
thank you so much Richard for sharing this wonderful and very technical ideas, this is the best of the best tutorial of grafting/cloning a DF I've ever seen. i wish a million subscribers in your channel.
It's wonderful how you help and explain things so everybody who is watching your videos understands and you're very clear about what you say I think I speak for all of us thank you and we will all continue watching your videos and hopefully support you more
Thanks Bryan, I always try my best to mention every step as I go during my tutorials. I always imaging what I would want to hear from myself if I was learning this same technique and regurgitate it out for everyone to learn! I hope you are doing well Bryan, always good to hear from you.
Since the yellow dragon fruit plant do not have a strong root system and thinner branches... which is better? Grafting the yellow DF on a strong rootstock or not graft, just let the yellow DF grow on it's own?
I’m learning about grafting dragon fruit I saw what you did with a fruit that has a little bit of steam that is Aswan. I will go look for dragon fruit with a steam at the fruit market

Is it possible to clone the store bought onto a young yearling? I see them on the already fruiting plants, but to graft it on to a young root stock I'm curious 🤨
Hi Tiwi, I normally would graft all the way until the middle of November. Once it gets to the end of November I stop grafting. My latest graft ever done in the season was Novebmer 11th 2018. They survived the winter and grew super fast when spring came.
Another channel I watch use Titebond III waterproof wood glue to seal cuts on her desert roses & succulents. You can get it at Lowes and Home Depot. She uses it primarily to prevent moisture from getting into the cut and rotting it out but I imagine it would also work in preventing the stem from drying out.
You are greate. Can you please tell where we can get different varieties of dragon fruit cuttings. How many varieties you have. Which one is the best one. Thanks.

Can I put a equador palores stem onto a red fruit variety cactus? Would that matter?
Is there a cambium layer where the fruit attaches to the stem? I think one less wound for the plant to heal or get infected.

Is it possible to clone the store bought onto a young yearling?
I see them on the already fruiting plants, but to graft it on to a young root stock I'm curious 🤨
Can you plant the seed or how can I get the stalk to start the draft...
Awesome, I too did the horizontal graft with mines. 🤞
That's great! I hope you have success! Crossing my fingers for you!

Hi Tiwi, I normally would graft all the way until the middle of November. Once it gets to the end of November I stop grafting. My latest graft ever done in the season was Novebmer 11th 2018. They survived the winter and grew super fast when spring came.
Nice video
If I don’t have black tar, what else can I use to prevent it from drying the stem out?
wax, i guess.
Can use parafilm

Don't use the black tar, I did this years ago and the black tar prevents sunlight from getting to the graft union, causing rot (anthracnose)
lily li thanks 😁
Thanks mate love your work.
You are greate. Can you please tell where we can get different varieties of dragon fruit cuttings. How many varieties you have. Which one is the best one. Thanks.
