  • Working template to raise the quality of BIM 4D and Unreal 5 proved to be perfect for that. I managed to unite several stages of my workflow, from animation to logistics, surroundings and motion graphics. All this dynamic, with Archiviz quality and in Real time rendering.

    Looks really great well done. In your workflow did you texture in 3Ds max with the import FBX data? Or did you do elsewhere? did you have to optimise the model much from Revit to run smoothly in UE5?

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  7 месяцев назад

      As the archiviz quality level is not very high, I export it with datasmisth and texture in Unreal. Currently I've been making a lot of changes within Unreal itself too, in the modeling tab, changing ID materials, UV maps, etc. I didn't optimize practically anything, since I used Nanite.

    Impressive!! ..How Do you drive the ui parameters like the timeline and the stages circular percentage ? like what did you bind the value to?

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  2 месяца назад +1

      Circulars are made with normal material. (Filling with a mask hiding from 0 to 1 and then using the function at the end to transform it into a circle. They can be animated in 2 ways; manually in the sequencer or with some mathematical percentage formula based on the sequencer's time.
      The timeline was created with a life bar in the widgets. Animation in the same way.

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  Год назад +1

      Yes, I did it myself. It was with 3dsmax, using helpers, bones and skin modify. Simple workflow to animate character.

    How is the workflow between synchro pro and Ue5? I mean how do you get your Synchro "animations" into UE5 with the same timing, scale, even the dates like that?

    • @virtuart4d

      It's from the twinmotion vehicle pack. You can find it for free on the Epic Games Marketplace, but you need to play for some program to do the animation and rigging.

      Hi
      I was using the Bentley plugin for this integration. But they canceled the plugin, so this model is on hold. In the future I intend to make my own plugin, but there is no date at the moment.

    As this is a year old now have you improved on this workflow?
    I am looking for a solution for Navisworks model to Unreal with linked TimeLiner tasks but I suspect I'll have to pivot to Bentley products as I do not know of a method for exporting a P6 Linked TimeLiner (animation data) into Unreal Engine from Navis.
    I saw you mention that the Bentley plugin is disabled now? Does that mean this workflow no longer works?

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  3 месяца назад +1

      Bentley actually canceled it.
      I talked to a lot of people and there are companies that use 3dsmax scripts and export them to unreal. Others do it in the Unreal Engine with their own programming.
      I intend to develop my own blueprint in the future, but I haven't started yet.

      @@virtuart4d Look like they're pivoting to LumenRT / NVIDIA Omniverse

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  3 месяца назад

      @@AIWarper Yes, I saw. But my interest is in interactive platforms. I do it in Unreal Engine because of the ease of using Blueprints. I'm still unsure whether using Nvidia I can use 4D within omnivberse and create infographics, functions, etc. And also if I'm not mistaken, the programming is in C++. Not counting the value.

    hello, I think you did a great job by this workflow. I'm trying to do same workflow for my school project.
    I had this one issue if you want to help :
    Visibility animations from 3ds max can not imported to Unreal Engine by datasmith plugin. When I tried with bentley itwin datasmith plugin directly to Unreal from synchro pro vsibility animations are imported. But I want to use 3ds max datasmith output so it is not usefull for me.
    how you managed the export visibility animations from 3ds max via datasmith? thats the question. Thanks in advance :)

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  Год назад +1

      @caimantone
      Visibility doesn't really work with datasmith or fbx. I did it in tyflow with the logic that the object will have a scale of 0.001 (Unreal doesn't work well with a scale of 0). So in the timeline a keyframe before it appears will be at 0.001 and in the next frame the keyframe will be at 1. Exporting in datasmith like this will work.

    daria pra substituir o Bentley Synchro Pro por naviswork? qual formato levar pro 3d max antes de exportar pro unreal?

    • @virtuart4d
      @virtuart4d  6 месяцев назад

      Não da pelo navisworks, quem usa o 3dsmax tem que criar seu próprio script de animação por cronograma. Conheci algumas empresas que tem isso.
