I really resonate with this. Growing up and in school, I was friends with everyone but not part of a specific group, I guess the outcast group was the closest I came to being a part of but I was only there because people were nicer there. The popular kids wanted me to join their group but I didn't want to do some of the things they did. Once in a while I got called a nerd or smart girl but most of the time, people just called me weird and then told me their life story and everyone else's. I realized at an early age that I was just different and I was okay with that. I wasn't trying to be unique, I was trying to be kind.
As an ENFJ i enjoy reading people, i am almost time collecting data about them, not to use it but to keep it for myself, well it helps me to understand people more easily but the data i am collecting is more then what i need to deal with them, so where is the point of collecting data and wasting time and energy but not using it?? well a question i can't answer it since i can't really stop myself from walking in others head and read them. Anyway i just find it really entertaining, when you know things about someone maybe things he is trying to hide like an impotence or whatever
You spoke absolute TRUTH in this video, my man. Especially speaking about how we do not always feel like we are actually a part of the knit and especially how we have our OWN thoughts and feelings toward things. I always speak of that in my circles and try and disillusion people from thinking Fe is conformity in the extreme sense and rather more of just a keen interest in how others feel and think about things and interact with one another but that does not mean we also always agree with it just cause we find it interesting to understand. The wholeeeeee section you spoke of in the 6min mark about how we try to be the good part of all the circles and all resonated so insanely heavily with me! In HS, I did not have one social circle. I did not know about MBTI back then, but looking back, it is interesting to me that as an ENFJ, everyone used to always comment on how I was the person who would randomly bounce from clique to clique and was cool with everyone although I did not actually stick with any of them. I just wanted to connect with everyone and take on the best parts of them. "I'm not trying to PROVE myself to them, I am trying to UNDERSTAND them." YES!!!!!!!!!!! Lol, thank you!! So well said!! I also personally always try to have others understand me as well. Like my faith in Christianity, I do not really have the intention to coerce others into believing what I believe, but if they can at least understand WHY I believe it and understand enough to not ridicule me for it, I am satisfied. I just want us all to respect one another and understand one another despite our disagreements on ideologies and such. As well as the whole network system and connections you described, YES! Lol you really have such a deep understanding of our psyche! I am honestly very impressed because I feel like we do not usually get enough credit and always seem like watered down INFJ, but you really covered this in a positive and accurate, unbiased light! Lastly, to answer your question about storytelling, I think in the most simple terms, I ALWAYS think about how others will be receiving what I am telling them. I gauge their attention span, ability to understand metaphor or concrete language, how excited they are or if they want me to get to the point, and etc. So in keeping the audience, I am telling the story to in mind, I naturally am able to take a meta-perspective and guide my own thoughts and words to land in the correct manner in the recipient's mind. I hope that makes sense lol. Anyway, thank you for this video, Erik. I will definitely be sharing this with others as well as on my own channel sometime.
I only recently started applying myself and my abilities as an ENFJ . I looked at results of the Myers Briggs test I took so many years ago because I thought I was an INFJ due to me going into a shell and not coming out too much for years. Well the test results says ENFJ and somehow I knew I am extraverted because I have the gift of speech among my fellow humans. I am an old man now and retired and I'm very happy indulging myself doing all the things you said about ENFJs. I can get an infant to smile at me and most people respond in a very positive manner.I still withdraw and get my thoughts and self comfortable but go back out and enjoy people. Thank you Erik for this video it is so wonderful to hear a highly intelligent brilliant young man say things with a positive attitude that interest me that I have subscribed to hear more of what you have to say.
Exact thing happened to me! Because I was such a hermit I really identified as an INFJ but that was situational at the time. I had a revision of this once I became more social.
I am also a recently found ENFJ and enjoying all the ups and downs of it. But I have been noticing that quite often ENFJs mistype themselves as INFJs. The same thing happened to me and since I am very balanced in the introverted-extroverted scale (60% extroverted), it was very difficult to find out too.
ERIK!! Best description I have heard so far!!! Thank you so much for this. I suddenly didn't feel so out of place in the world once you described how this is natural for ENFJ's. :D Thank you so much!
It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. I struggle with this too. I often feel like people generally really like me but no one seems to want to get to know me or really spend time on me the way I do with others. It really does get lonely feeling "other" no matter where you go
I have always felt alone in this way. Very deeply alone. I have had many employers tell me in a negative light that I was a Jack of all trades and I was torn within myself to turn down my curiosity to just one thing to limit myself to make other comfortable. Seriously prayed on this as a overall theme in my prayer for months and then BAM!!! This video 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭 Thank You!
I have 2 ENFJs in my life. One is my partner whom I have been with for almost 10 years, another is a good friend. You described them both so well. Everything is on point. I'm researching about ENFJs to understand my partner more and man, learning about this stuff made things that baffle me about him suddenly makes sense (for example, his love for company, his ability to create connections with different people - even those who most people would avoid - etc). Thank you Erik for making this in-depth video. Much love from an ISFJ in Borneo Island ❤️
ENFJ just fits me like a glove. Everything you talk about is actually what I do on a daily basis. You just describe it from a positive standing point lol. 4:33 yes yes yes. Thank you for the advice, it's really helpful to me. I've been thinking my Fe was just overdeveloped because of the things you described.. I lost good friends because they told me they didn't know who I really was anymore lol. I guess I will never be boring :D Thank you for being so positive about ENFJs, it's really refreshing and motivational ^^
This is so true. I am never able to identify myself with just one group. And its been like that since I was a kid. I could understand and be interested in everyone, and sometimes I had to choose and it was hard.
Erik, I just wanted to say that these videos really make me feel understood. I completely agree with EVERY SINGLE point you make and adore the advice you offer. It always makes me realize what is important in my life and what I should concentrate on. Really, I almost never comment on anything but I just couldn't resist this time. I really appreciate your deep understanding and ability to express your thoughts this well. Thank you :)
Erik, thank you for your video. I’ll send it to my ENFJ mother who I can have a chaotic relationship with, myself an ENTJ. We’re both very similar as others have remarked, but that one letter creates a huge gap in one important area. Other than our thinking and feeling functions, which are polar opposites, others can see how similar we are: thinking outside the box, seeing connections, leadership, that introverted intuition.
When i learned that I was an ENFJ I laughed then learned the various titles for that personality type. Funny thing, I write fiction novels and publish them. The Protagonist? The Great Storyteller? LOL!!!!! So accurate it is spooky!
Something weird I've noticed in my friend group is NF "copiloting" this is a term I've coined for it. What it basically means is NFs typically are super empathetic. If there's more than one NF in a group, the more extroverted one will take the lead and the more introverted one will be their second in command. Watching the group and ensuring that everyone is happy and enjoying the situation. My ENFP friend and I do this. I am an ENFJ. It's a silent agreement that she takes the lead and I make sure everyone is emotionally cared for. Funny enough though, my INFJ friend and I reverse roles almost. He doesn't know it but he can be a better leader than I am. People like him better too, it's really obvious walking around the hallways. We have mutual friends who will say hi to him and completely ignore me. It's odd to me that he can't understand that. I have a suspected INFP friend who also copilots me in group conversations. It happens a lot more than one may think.
Count me on as a ENFJ! Resonated to what you said. Very often feel not belonging to anywhere, and meantime feels belonging to anywhere, lol. My friend at college use to describe me as “not circle, not square, hard to confine”, I guess so
I always got along with everyone and yes I was apart of every clique but still felt so alone and I'm just now as an adult diving deep into this Myers-Briggs personalities is changing my life as I type this out thank you
Erik, I really want to thank you for taking your time to make this video. I’m sure other ENFJ personalities will feel the same appreciation towards you. Everything that you discussed resonated with me deeply. I now understand the reasons for the nature of my relationships with others and my high school experience. You spoke to me, man. Not going to lie, I bawled my eyes out whilst listening to you speak and I truly felt like you were directly speaking to me. Thank you so, so, so much. Sending you love, appreciation and warm wishes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
10:40 I easily can remember things that happened years ago and my friends always asked how the hell did I remember those times with details and I was like "How can you forget it?" Lmao.
Lol 😂 you have a deeply understand ENFJ deeply heart . Thank you 😊 .I struggled a lot in the past, finally I have found myself and my own community and new land with the vision and value by offering our own services in the society 🌸🎈
When I walk into a meeting where there is some form of crisis... management goes "Oh Good! AJ is here! Please help us fix this!" and then I hammer through the situation to create a system or process that works... with everyone working on their portion and as much communication as possible. I talked the Engineers into creating a group chat to counter the Program Managers "personal touch" form of communication (aka telling everyone something different and causing the Team to fall apart). It does lead to my antagonists blaming me for their screw ups... but I have such a good reputation... it is apparent to everyone and my upper management just smiles and blows them off.
As ENFJ I often think why people can't respect each? Respect can make this world a better world. Respect other people religion, culture and opinion. I want to make this world more peace no war no fight...I wonder are others ENFJ think the same? I wonder are all ENFJ like to search about other culture from all around the world? Search about other religion to understand them more? This is what I always do. I am from MALAYSIA, when I was younger, I don't know that Europe has a lot of countries and also Africa is not one country..but because of my curiosity, I tried to search about others countries and their culture..now I know a lots than my fellows😄 I wonder who ENFJ does this too?
This is so true!!!! I would encourage people to be the best they can be by offering a model, but I am very scared that I won't be able to live up to that model neither...
I like being flawed. Because that's just me. And my human nature. Aren't sswe all flawes. It's like we are all characters in a book. My two kids are ESTJ and INFJ. Now, that personal interaction was the funniest.
Oh wow thank you so much for this video Erik. You spoke so accurately about us that are you sure you are not an ENFJ? Lol JK, I really really appreciated it and now I understand better why I had mistyped myself as an INFJ when I first came into contact with MBTI. When you are an enfj, ambivert and an empath raise your feet!! Hahaha happy Sunday! 😊❤️🌈
How can you be an ambivert in mbti
Spot on💯🤦♀️💐

This has been THE MOST THOROUGH interpretation of ENFJ so far!!! I watched it and now I’m back to watch again.
ERIK!! Best description I have heard so far!!! Thank you so much for this. I suddenly didn't feel so out of place in the world once you described how this is natural for ENFJ's. :D Thank you so much!
Thats awesome, mona! :)
I’m the secret outcast everywhere I go...I look like I’m accepted but it’s not the case. It’s really lonely
Me too. Everyone likes me...but I don't fit in anywhere.
Wow. I really thought it was just me. Large group of “friends” and I’m always growing it... but never REALLY being a part of it.
It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. I struggle with this too. I often feel like people generally really like me but no one seems to want to get to know me or really spend time on me the way I do with others. It really does get lonely feeling "other" no matter where you go

VERY TRUE about not connecting to people being very discouraging! And winning everyone over.

I am an ENFJ female, and this NAILS my thought processes and experience.
This is so true. I am never able to identify myself with just one group. And its been like that since I was a kid. I could understand and be interested in everyone, and sometimes I had to choose and it was hard.
You know you're an enfj when the title card language triggers you. A fraud?! Oh no!
Thank you for this. Nailed it.
this is so true, coming from an enfj , I love this , it covers so much more than vids on enfj misses
Erik, I just wanted to say that these videos really make me feel understood. I completely agree with EVERY SINGLE point you make and adore the advice you offer. I always got along with everyone and yes I was apart of every clique but still felt so alone and I'm just now as an adult diving deep into this Myers-Briggs personalities is changing my life as I type this out thank you
Very insightful! I'm an ENFJ and particularly in high school I felt like an outsider and I still feel like I'm stuck in that space in between.
wow. i think that i've never felt so understood and appreciated. thank you so much Erik. sincerely, long lost ENFJ
Woooow this is really soo on point on all the topics. You are explaining it so well, thank you for this video!
I am ENFJ and I feel like I absolutely don't belong..
Erik, I really want to thank you for taking your time to make this video. I’m sure other ENFJ personalities will feel the same appreciation towards you. Thank you so much!! I think you are brilliant. So much is going on in my mind right now as an ENFJ I can't even comment further
That explanation was so beautiful ,thank you 💫

You seem interesting. Yes we do tend to do that. Hi I'm your new ENFJ friend.
Hey!!
Thanks you for your GREAT research! Really!!
You really get into the mind and thoughts ..maybe more than an enfj would himself.
You explained my ENFJ-T childhood
Scarily accurate omg!!! 🤯🤯🤯
DUDE!!!! THANK YOU!! WOW!! Makes Sense NOW!!!
This is so true!!!! I would encourage people to be the best they can be by offering a model, but I am very scared that I won't be able to live up to that model neither...
I hate being controlled, but I am still me. Now, that's me...
I can remember every inter social interaction.
I'm told it's a great sence of discernment, good and bad. I love being N.V g ENFJ.
Wow. That's me. I call it checker, checker, chess, chess, checkmark. But ya. I have blind spots everywhere.
I like being flawed. Because that's just me. And my human nature. Aren't sswe all flawes. It's like we are all characters in a book.
My two kids are ESTJ and INFJ. Now, that personal interaction was the funniest.
The most accurate video ever!!!!
Great detailed video 🙌
Loved how accurate this was!
Thank you for a wonderful explanation on how my thought processes works :p
This is scary how accurate it is
Thank u for seeing me
You are incredible! Thank you :) :) :)
I love your channel. Thank you :)
Thank you very much for this presentation of ENFJ. I apreciate the work you put into it! :)
It’s like you have an enfj working for you in the writing department. 😅...🤔
Thanks man! It feels like you know what you’re talking about, really informative video
Oh wow thank you so much for this video Erik. You spoke so accurately about us that are you sure you are not an ENFJ? Lol JK, I really really appreciated it and now I understand better why I had mistyped myself as an INFJ when I first came into contact with MBTI. Pay attention and you wil see this trend of ENFJs always thinking they are INFJs... Maybe you could make a video about that haha, or about the most common mistyping errors in general 😃🤓
Fantastic video!
That was so accurate!
This gave me so much insight! Thank You
Thank you for your guidance. It helps a lot.
Also regarding your video, as an ENFJ I don't really pay attention to what people wear, I can't even mostly remember what they wear. Also, you say that we use extroverted intuition, introverted sensing, I think you wrong here. We have introverted intuition as the 2nd function and extraverted sensing as the 3rd function, introverted thinking as the 4th.
I don't forget what people say and do. I'm like a elefant 🤣🤣 No just a ENFJ🤣
That's me good and bad, I'm the on thevo7tside looking in at times.
Thanks for the video !
Right on point!!! lol Well done.
you're amazing
Wat business is good for enfj
"Fraud" of course! 100%! :D Brilliant observation!
I believe quadras should change, because ENFJ belongs with INTJ, ESFP and ISTP in the gamma quadra.
Political ideology for gamma quadra is totalitarian. ENFJ enforces the important roles of "propaganda" and "distraction" for the quadra.
I enjoyed this video but dont enfjs have fe, ni , se, ti?
Doesnt ENFJ have introverted intuition?
Hi Erik, are you an INFJ or ENFJ?
The real life ENFJ however, is not like this idealised portrait.
😥💖
