- Did Hal Steinbrenner really try to equate the Yankees with a low revenue baseball team that can not compete on the open market? I think he did.
His laughable comment did, however, show that there is a rift currently among owners that no labor dispute can solve until they fix their own house.

I’m gonna state the obvious when I say that we need more owners that are legitimate fans of the team they CHOOSE to buy. As well as owning a team should be a primary source of revenue for the owners, it should be a side project…again obvious. It’s hard for me to feel sympathy for grown people who CHOOSE to buy a team and instead of making the fans and the organization priority, they prioritize their egos that prioritize making profits as the measure of their success instead of winning. I wish they would care about how much complaining, lack of spending, losing and pocketing profits make them look bad and take that as a hit to the ego. As long as they aren’t losing money they’re happy and couldn’t care less and it’s a damn shame. Cheap egotistical owners are ruining this game more than expensive players.
For those who cry that a salary cap would lead to parity should consider this: The NFL has salary cap and yet the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six seasons. Meanwhile, in MLB with no salary cap or floor, there have been 25 non-consecutive World Series champions. Sully of course brings this out in this video. Regulation of team salaries (cap or floor) will not necessarily lead to parity.
Thats because the Refs are showing Kansas City favoritism.
Well played sir....well played
We always seem to agree on the major issues & or idea of how baseball or what baseball should & shouldnt be...Now im going take wild guess it may have a small amount (just lil' bit) to do with the fact that extremely close in age...or it could just be im the most awesome person on the internet...upon further review-survay says...it would appear the 1st reason is the most likely reason...lol
Regardless enjoy the content. even from all the way over on the "other coast" here in GA...

fans of small market teams will eventually give up and the league will either choose to loose those teams or get a salary cap.
@@lespaul1968 did you cut and paste that from 1979?
Two words: SALARY CAP!
Four More Words: They Do Not Work
Question: why are you arguing for the billionaire owners and against the players?
The owners aren’t capped for how much they can earn, so why cap what players can earn?
