    The whole thing looks rickety.

I have one and works way better than I expected. What i dont like is that it rattles extremely loud. I dont agree that is badly designed. I like that of goes up like a rocket. Boilw water for coffee in a breeze.

I own several wood gasification stoves made by Solo Stove, Goshawk and Toaks. Of those three the Toaks, that shares the same design as the Lixada you reviewed, is by far my least used. The open bottom makes it a fire hazard and it is too tall and prone to tip over.
I agree 100% with your critique of the design!

I also have a couple of Solo Stoves and a no name brand that is broadly similar but packs down smaller and all perform really well. For me too the Lixada is the least used as after trying it out a few times decided it is not something I would take out on a proper adventure 👍

I don’t care for that design, it’s way too top heavy for the small base/diameter. With a full pot on It looks to easy to topple the whole thing.

Sounds like a bot of stove bashing is in order. Cut the top bit down and maybe strips of some sort of can slid over the body to control the airflow. You may even get the thing to have variable flame and be able to simmer. Other than that the bin awaits.
