Itd be one thing if these sort of people had an opinion that sortve met reality in the middle, maybe something like "Clark is an amazing player who does a lot for the league, but she isnt the sole factor to its sudden success." I think most fans coukd live with that sortve remark. However instead these people are hellbent on essentially tearing down the very player who is, in my opinion, the greatest difference maker in weither or not the WNBA will either start to grow or one day, be extinct. They would rather conpletely disregard her inpact and even go out of their way to dimish it, simply for some petty grudge. And its been this way even before Clark joined the WNBA, the players and apparently Coachs and GMs are all petty and would rather the entire thing burn to ground if its a white, straight woman who is carrying them to success and relevance. The simply matter is that if it were Angel Reese who managed to be in Clarks shoes, theyd be throwing parties & parades and celebrating her as a black queen who saved the league. Its shameful and if they had any good intentions for the WNBA as a whole, they would try to uplift Clark and, in time, the entire WNBA would follow suit. Instead they arent happy and cant manage to even pretend to want this attention, if it isnt the attention they specifically want. Weird considering how in the past, many WNBA players would go on interviews and social media admonishing the NBA for not paying them more. Clark could very well lead to higher pay, but they would rather take every opportunity to shine a negative light on her name. Its wild
Caitlin Clark will be the reason these girls go from making MAYBE $100,000 a year if they're lucky to millions....Clark and Aja Wilson will be the first two women to get multimillion dollar contracts....HOW they don't support that is insane to me. Also I completely agree, if they could give Clark her credit while also making their point it would come across a lot better than not doing it at all and just complaining about the thing you have issues with.
