Ms. Clarks’ Gifts and demeanor brought me back to this sport. I was raised in the outskirts of Los Angeles watching the clash of Titans Bird and MJ, then the Jordan era.. since then it was mediocre. I would tune in and watch Kobe and early Lebron , but only the highlights or last game clips at the finals. Then I stumbled upon a highlight reel of a pretty and humble brunette in a Hawkeye jersey, passing like MJ, assisting like Bird and draining shots from the parking lot like Curry on his best night. I thanked almighty God that moment for the gift he gave us ,of the splendor of hardwork and a dream in Caitlin Clark. There is hope in basketball and I am blessed to be alive to see it. Go Fever!! 🤒🙏🥰 Hawai’i is Watching.

Me too. I attended WNBA games in Charlotte and found them very boring and withdrew my attention from the WNBA. I also went to grad school in Iowa and until I saw Caitlin Clark play basketball two years ago in March Madness, I was completely indifferent to women's college or professional basketball. Watching her play is so exciting. And yes I watched the women's basketball teams of USC, South Carolina and UConn play, and had seen several of the UConn games with Taurasi years ago. They didn't make me feel the same as watching Caitlin Clark.

I was born in 1993 so I didn't get to see most of jordan. But I'm thankful to catch Caitlin's time. This coming from someone that never thought the wnba had a chance.

I hate anything to do with women's sports, yet somehow I've become a fan of Caitlin Clark. I think part of it is that Caitlin isn't a 5'2" airbrushed blonde with big boobs. She looks like a normal, healthy human being who just happens to be excellent at her sport. It gives hope to ppl who weren't blessed with a cookie cutter look. It's ok to be tall. It's ok to not be tan. If you work hard at your craft you can become a success story too. 🙂

The Larry Bird comparison is exactly who she reminds me of as far as just fun to watch play,,, its alot more than talent--- like Larry,, she has the 4D court vision,,, sees the play before it develops--- i dont know if the 'non-Caitlin games will catch up--- but i lost interest in the NBA after MJ, the lebron era is boring,,, but i watched every Iowa game i could for 22, and her Coach and Team.

4 years for $400,000 is a disgrace by a failing league... She should have taken Ice Cubes offer. She's going to make a lot more money in endorsement deals, I know, but she could have had both without the headaches of trying to be the WNBAs savior..

@@jaimep3432 That statement makes zero sense. So, with that logic, if players in a league are not at the same level as the best player in the league, no one will be interested in them. What type of sesame street logic is being used here?
Be honest, you are not a sports fan.

Mark my words she will be a bigger star than Larry Bird and Reggie Miller combined in the state of Indiana when it’s all said and done. I could see her as the Jackie Robinson of the NBA dominating the likes of Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving. The men’s game isn’t as dynamic as the women’s game these days. The tables have turned.

Bird and Magic started the rise of the NBA into a powerhouse but MJ strapped a rocket to it and turned it into a global phenomenon.
Caitlin will probably be the former, but still, her success means the success of the entire WNBA.

People want to compare Caitlin's arrival to the WNBA to Bird/Magic to NBA. However, what if her arrival is like Pistol Pete to the NBA. Pete was unbelievable, head of his time, but most of the NBA resented his popularity coming right out of college. Those players resisted him and the NBA almost went under. She is also not a winner like Bird/Magic. Caitlin had a great team at Iowa. She had very good teammates who were willing to hold back so she could maximize her talent. That is not going to happen in the WNBA. Look how much backlash she has already received from WNBA players. I wish her the best, but the expectations seem to be off the chart and very unrealistic.

JuJu might score more than 3951 points in her college career. It depends a lot on whether USC makes deep runs in the NCAA tournament. They it to the Elite Eight in 2024; they have a highly rated recruiting class coming in for next season, and it looks like Iriafen is transferring to USC for her final season.
