This is the best tutorial I've ever seen to accentuate lips. Thank you! For my dry lips I use a lanolin product I saw on a RUclips video...it's actually for breast feeding mothers with cracked nipples, brand name Lansinoh. I use it morning and night and it's done wonders...AND it's available at Wal-Mart here in the U.S.
Hi Gemma. I do love the way you go into every little detail, please don't change the way you do things, for me it's perfect. You really do teach, with added fun. I think you have got the balance just right. 😘😘
This is the best video I ever seen to accentuate lips. Everyone else has big, fuller lips to begin with and then they want to show you how to get fuller lips🤦🏻♀️. But this really was a great video. And you explained things so well. Love your channel and your Mom❤️
This video is so helpful. I've been overlining my lips, top and bottom for a couple years. But I never thought about adding highlight and contour. I am psyched. I already have all the arsenal of products so no extra cost to give it a try. Yea! Thank you so much.
As Paul Daniels would say "you're gonna like this, not a lot but you're gonna like it"!! Gemma, absolutely brilliant vid. You didn't ramble, you explained everything really well. Thanks for this tip, it's going to get used quite a lot 😉😉☺. xxx 💕💕💕xxx
Thanks for the tips. I think most people can use at least some of the techniques you demonstrated (like me). Your eye make up today is beautiful. Please share how you achieved this look.
I'm going to try this. As I get older, my full lips aren't full any longer. I really like your eye look today. That would be my every day look, show us how you did the look. Very classy.
I’ve seen a good tip for helping to edge out the upper lip line. Just press your index finger on the skin above your upper lip and it flattens out the lip so it makes it easier to draw a faux lip line. For the bottom it helps me if I smile slightly while I draw the faux lip line. I love your realistic approach and your sense of humor. Thanks for the video.
I'm proper loving what you're doing with your eyebrows these days. You may not have been blessed with thick lips, but you were definitely towards the front of the queue when they were handing out gorgeous eyes! ! Xxx
Thank you, since I hit my 50's Ive become very aware that my lips are getting thinner, especially the top lip. Ive thought about having lip blush done to them but the pain puts me off. I must have a go at this as it looks fab..xx
You're beautiful by the way, but another thing you can do with the contour powder is apply a small amount in the middle of your cupids bow, drawing a soft V shape and the same light hand that you used on your bottom. This makes your cupids bow look slightly dented in which makes the top lip look like it's starting to plump out before it's natural plump. And play around with how high you place the V according to what looks best.
As a thin lipped lady this was great and holy smokes your skin is A---MAZING!! Adore the look today, perfect day time, work, flawless look. The CT liners are about $31 dollars in AUS and as I am lazy and never go into actual shops I can't say how readily available they are. I had to buy mine off Beautylish so you have to factor your O/S shipping into that... any other Aussie fans know the best place to buy CT in Australia?
Great technique! Will be trying it out tomorrow! So glad I found your videos. What I've seen so far have been excellent! Thanks so much for sharing! Lorna
Fab! Thanks so much - I have the same issues with my lips as you have, (but I’m 46 now) brilliant tips. Have you any tips for a long thin face and “Bruce Forsyth” chin?! As I age my chin seems to me becoming the focal point of my face😞 I’d like to minimise it🤞 Thank you for your excellent, real videos👍😘xxx
Remember the rules of contouring. Anything shiny, or dewy, or bright will highlight a feature. Try adding the tiniest bit of matt contour or even matte bronzer to the area you'd like to make look smaller. Also add a touch to your forehead. Have you seen my contouring video for beginners? It might help......it was a long time ago I warn you and I'm a little wooden in my delivery, but the information remains the same xxx
You are the best,i am 55 ,i Love your tips ,your Voice and your mom.you make exakt the Videos wat i Need as a new ager.sorry my englisch ,i am from switzerland😘
Grmma, very good tutorial, you're very honest, I always forget to smooth the lines of the lip pencil, your lips moisturizer is a lip balm?. Thank you and loves😘
Brilliant video your lips look amazing have always wanted to know how to do fuller lips without looking like I had done anything. I will practice now 👍🏻
Great video Gemma as always! I have lopsided lips, they are thinner on the right side so I have to over line that side and line the left side on the line (does that even make sense 🤷♀️) anyway I will be trying out this technique for sure. Thank you 🙏 BTW, would you consider doing a H & M makeup review? Xx
Great tutorial. I feel so educated...lol. I'm gonna probably watch it a couple more times, before I'm really brave enough. But, I loved it. So many things I hadn't really thought about. Thanx, for this one, really. 💜
Gemma you don’t ramble you explain comprehensively... oh get me with the big words.. I was going to say well but that popped up in the text and I thought it sounded posh. Now that’s a ramble !!! Well done loved the video happy weekend to you and your family ❤️
I have nothing against lip fillers. I have a small amount added to my lips every 6-7 months. If you look at my early videos and look at my current ones, you'll notice the difference, but I try and keep them as natural as possible xxx
Hi Gemma, as always, great video :) And I wanted to know if you have already seen the new Nabla pallet "Poison Garden" and your opinion about it ;) Thanks xxx
Great explanation. I thought you might like to know that lip scrubs also exist if you don't want to use the toothbrush trick. I've tagged you in instagram where you can see the one I use. Of course it does depend on how delicate your lips are, and I'd say it's definitely not for everyday use. I got mine at my local professional hair care outlet that also stocks Deborah milano (I'm not a fan of the brand per se but this product is good and inexpensive)
AmetsSorgin I have several lip scrubs.... but I’m not a fan of mess. Haha. That’s why I use a toothbrush instead of feeling like I’ve just eaten a sugar donut. 🤣
Ooh, I really wanted a side-by-side at the end. Not sure I could pull this off on my own, and I'm wondering if this is a trick that would reveal itself over the course of an evening. Hmm...
I don’t know...am I old fashioned? If I am going out I want to talk, eat, drink. Along with the Korean gradation fashion, this seems to be for people who are going out to photograph themselves. You've definitely done an excellent job, it worked very well, but I struggle to think of any occasion for it even though my lips are nearly as thin as yours. After working that hard to change the very features of my face, I'd definitely want a gin and tonic, and then all that work would end up on the rim of a glass. At least my eyeliner is safe from canapés! Mostly. ;)
Pencilfriend Paperscribbler This did make me chuckle. I guess it depends what products you use. I finished filming the video at 11.15, ate lunch, edited, picked the kids up from school and it was still intact at 4.30. Charlotte Tilbury matte lipsticks and liners have serious staying power though. Still have that gin though....sounds very tempting xxx
Extra added comment... I am too scared to even contemplate this but would you ever consider injections/ fillers or work to your face (not that you need it... please don't think that I mean that you need it because you look ridiculously young)... or has anyone on here had proceedures done? Pros? Cons?
Don't tell everyone, but I'm going to have a ml of filler in my lips to try it out. It's a very small amount, but I'd like to try it. I'll film it, and upload for everyone. I do fear the backlash though 😬
Pampered Wolf - "bleep" the backlash... I wish I could a) afford it and b) know where to go to get it done that was trustworthy and didn't leave me with pillow lips... would also love Botox on my forehead and my smile likes dealt with so there will be no judgement from me (maybe a tish of jealously lol). I think you do whatever YOU want... there will always be someone who judges but that's not something you have to take on board. I tried infinitely mocha (?right name?) and love it. I have lips that just strip colour... M.A.C. Lipsticks, as much as I love the formula, just do not stay on my lips and this was a great find ... thank you for the recommendation. Am going for another chemist run today to pick up another couple of colours as these are great. Good luck with the filler... I will be one cheering you on and will be so keen to see what the result is. I know you are UK based so prices are different but can you advise on costs too? Pixiwoo is very open about their use of Botox and fillers and they don't seem to give a shit about the judgy mcjudgy's - so follow their lead and do what is going to make YOU feel good. Xxxx
I am sorry Gemma, but I can't see any big different. Personally I think it's a bit of waste of time and as you said very easy to slip and do it wrong. Ladies gosh simply embrace what we have and stop falsing us and others with those "let's make it" bigger tricks (in a fact I'm not talking only about lips....;) ). ❤️
If we all followed that though....no one would ever wear makeup. Haha And as much as I'm comfortable in my own skin....I love my makeup....it makes me feel like a more polished version of myself. xxx
Pampered Wolf If we followed that through sensibly we still would wear makeup! I love make up too, but I'm aware of the fact when it's enhancing what I already have or faking what I don't have. This is what I meant by my comment. X

Pat Mear I use Lansinoh as well - it’s the BEST! Thank you Domonique Sachse😘
I’m so happy I found your videos! From my mature green eyes to my nonexistent upper lip! Winning at life 😊
Hi Gemma. I do love the way you go into every little detail, please don't change the way you do things, for me it's perfect. You really do teach, with added fun. I think you have got the balance just right. 😘😘
Your so humble and you act mature and sophisticated. Your the only makeup artist I follow. And your experienced and talented. Luv ya!! Sis

Thanks for all the info - so well explained. Gemma, you may not have full plump lips but you have THE MOST beautiful eyes. Thanks again 💕💕
Thank you, since I hit my 50's Ive become very aware that my lips are getting thinner, especially the top lip. Ive thought about having lip blush done to them but the pain puts me off. I must have a go at this as it looks fab..xx
This is just what I need to help my top lip , great tip will be trying this tomorrow, many thanks . Take care 😉
Wow. Amazing. Thank you. Can you talk about how to soften lines around the lips? I’m not a smoker but it’s those kinds of lines.
Such a great video. Love your in depth teaching methods. Bravo!!

Awww fab! Was saying to my friend at work yesterday what products out there can make my lips look bigger- fuller!
Thanks for this... Here we go!😻😁😁😁

@ Pampered Wolf , I have extremely thin lips especially my top lip, what are your thoughts on lip fillers please ? Not the trout pout look obviously 😁

Definitely have to try this. Thanks

Ooh, I really wanted a side-by-side at the end. Not sure I could pull this off on my own, and I'm wondering if this is a trick that would reveal itself over the course of an evening. Hmm...
Geek The Girl mine stayed intact for over 5 hours with no touch ups, but this will depend on the products you choose to use xxx
That's a cool lip hack
Great video!❤️
Doesn't it just wash off when you drink or eat something??
Thank you! ❤️

Thanks for the tip Elaine, but I too dermaroll my lips. xxx

I hate the fact that my lips are so pale, I so wish I had fresh rosie lips
I must be the only person that doesn’t like Pillow Talk. It’s just too brown on me. I love it on everyone else though.
I was hoping you just over outlined your top and filled it in with pencil and lip color.
