I watched Lisa’s video a while ago because my lips are very downturned. A complete frown. So glad I saw her video. Thank you for sharing this with others. It helped like my lips a bit more.
The single tip that has improved my lipstick and the more youthful look in general is the one you mentioned-- don't apply color all the way to each corner. Thank you for this video. The detail you go into is so, so helpful.
Really well-done visual walk though of this technique. Also, if you add a pale liquid foundation with an applicator brush, pale concealer or liquid highlighter like YSL Touche Eclat Brightening Pen around your lips, it helps a bit more, imo. Blessings!
I've been doing this for a few years now but Lisa's video helped to get rid of some of the frown. You did a great tutorial Gemma. It made it look so easy to accomplish. Helpful hint to even the lips is to hold up a hand mirror to see your lips in reverse in the mirror. Always makes the uneven areas jump out for me.
I use the Dior limp plumper, which goes on like gloss. It just decreases wrinkles, it doesnt give me pouty lips, unfortunately - but it doesn't burn like some. (i'm lookin' at YOU, Too Faced lip injection!)
I have to admit I already knew about this trick but it's good to hear your perspective on it. I always add a gloss to the centre after because....gloss!
To get to your perfection, it will take me years of practice 😱😥. It looks great, yet natural and this lipstick color 🔥🤩! Absolutely stunning, Gemma!!! Love, hugs and kisses 😘
I was really excited to see this. It makes a huge difference. I do this already, but I think you go a little further out, so I will try that. Somebody else said don’t go to the corners as it can downturn your lips, so I do follow that tip. I’ve got a really small mouth. I mean really small 😬
My mouth is shaped like a frown. It been that way since I was a kid. I will be thinking and people have commented to me through out my life about what is wrong with me. I will say nothing is wrong and they tell me, well your frowning. My mouth is completely upside down.
So great watching your video in combination with the happy lips video from Lisa Eldridge. I really feel like I learned a lot and can make myself have that fuller lips look without going to get fillers. I would love to see you do the same thing on your mom when you can get back together again! Thanks bunches! You always make my day!
This is great info. I’ve known about slightly over lining the lips but have never heard about stopping short of the corners. Thank you so much for the tip.
What a great technique! It's truly amazing how different it looks in the before and after pictures. I WILL be trying this! I hope you are your family are adjusting to the new "normal" of being home. And that Jan is well!!❤️❤️💄💋
Wow, what a great tip not to apply lipstick in the corners of my mouth. I have had issues with the lipstick bleeding out so i have carried QTips to fix it! My only question now is how many liner colors can I get by with? I don’t want a liner for each color lippy I have. Can’t wait to try this out and yes, I will also check out Lisa E. Thank you Gemma you are awesome

@@PamperedWolf I did too and they were teased mercilessly! So it depends on the decade one was in school. Big lips were not always considered wonderful.

Ok Gemma VB, 😉 I actually saw Lisa's vid and have tried to do this. I'm not as successful as you, I think I have weird lips, but I'll keep trying. ❣💗❣💗❣
I’ve tried this and it brought memory of Hilda Ogden from coronation st she was ahead of her time she just put lipstick on the centre and missed her corners! I think she did it for comical performance.
Great tip! Thank you :-) I'll try this! My lips were discoloured, and my lip line was loosing on it's border lining. As I am a fun of a natural look, I was looking for something to fix all of that. For four months now I am using Niod bio-lipid concentrate. My lip colour is now in one shade and lip line is back :-) The lips are also plumper, although that was not my intention :-) I recommend this product.
Hi Tallis. No, I mean the overall lip line. I almost didn't have one, between the lips and the skin around the mouth. There were the small horizontal lines on the border of my lips and the skin and the lips discolouration that was causing it looked like there was no lip line at all. I think as the lips got plumped the small horizontal lines got plumped too, so the lip line became visible again. I suggest you read reviews of the product as well to learn more. It is not cheap product. I followed the usage instruction to the letter.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Gemma!!!! I commented to a good friend just recently how I hate that my lips are disappearing (I'm a few years older than your Mom). Lips disappearing is a natural part of aging but why do our nose and ears continue to grow? Why couldn't our lips stay plump and visible???? Fillers have not been something I've ever wanted to do. I always line my lips but I do go clear to the corners. I am going to be trying this tomorrow!🥰
Lips don't generally disappear, but they look like they do. It's true that you lose definition and plumpness, but the external skin around the mouth loses collagen and strength which results in the lip body disappearing inside the mouth. Your lip body is generally still there but it's hidden. One way to counteract this (if this upsets you) is to have a small amount of botox injected above the lip to partially paralyse the muscle that allows the lip to be sucked underneath. Also by redefining the lip line with a lip pencil in a similar shade to the lip will help redefine the fading pigment xxx
This was SUCH a good way to subtly but prettily enlarge the visual appearance of your lips - tried it immediately will be using it daily - this will permanently change the way I do my lips 💕 Rx
My eyes are different in shape, when I do eyeshadow I really have to adjust to make them look symmetrical but I'm lucky that my lips are actually even or at least thy really look even.

Lip lines are incredibly difficult to cover and plump. LED Therapy will help or a little botox might help before you consider filler. Also have you tried the miracle blur from Trinny London? That might help to disguise them xxx
If you are in the 70’s, should you use cream eyeshadow or the powder?
Either. That's personal preference xxx
But do you do the same if you have lots of lines on your upper lip? Won't it travel up the lines?
A good lip liner shouldn't bleed into lip lines. If you're struggling, the cheaper lip limners are often waxier which might actually help xxx
