I loved flying on American's MD-80s between DFW and ORD. I used to fly that route a few times a year for my dad's job. The best plane they ever had. It's a shame they got rid of it. The MD-80 is still my #1, but my favorite they have in service now is the 787 Dreamliner.
The Super 80s were amazing, and the Dreamliner is a fantastic airplane as well! Thanks for commenting!
What happens when you buy planes that were rotting in the desert for 10 years? This.
Lol
Anakin Skywalker Allegiant didn’t buy their planes from a “rotting desert” they bought it from old airlines that were retiring them.
Planes don’t rot in the desert, that’s why they are stored there!
They get scrapped if they “rot in the desert”
"*Unfortunately*, we didn't have to evacuate." lol Great video!
Haha it would have been fun! Thanks for commenting!
What kind of trip reporter wouldn't want to evacuate after landing? There's all the views!
Big aviation fan here. Nice vids of this old workhorse! These birds are rockets - way overpowered, and very agile.
Personal fave: B727-100 series.
Thank you very much!! The MD-80 is really a fantastic airplane!
We'd do almost anything for a chance to fly on a 727!
Horizon Productions SFL I love md80
Great video! ADORED the takeoff sound. Long live the Super 80!
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it! Long live the DC-9 Super 80!! :D
It seems their MD80's suffer a lott of technical issues.
Allegiant definitely has some maintenance issues, and it's a shame their issues make a bad image for the mighty MD-80 workhorse!
Yeah thats true.
They’ve had some issues on their older Airbus planes as well
funny, the md-80's flown by American and Delta don't have the same issues.
@@omma-llama7860 ur soooooooo true
I love the Mcdonnell Douglas M80s. That JT8D sound is music to my ears. I want to rescue all the MD80s from the neglect and abuse that allegiant air has put them through, rebuild the screamin JT8Ds, refurb the landing gears, and fix up all the other things wrong with it. Than use them to start a vaporwave themed airline with vintage quality customer service and cheap fares without neglecting aircraft and/or sacrificing safety, free drinks, and reclining seats.
That would be amazing! The MD-80 is an incredible workhorse!
Definitely a unique trip report! Excellent editing and captions. Very glad everything was OK. Liked!
+99carnot Thanks man!!
Stop flying Allegiant? You have to be kidding, the only way to get to Frostbite Falls from my home in Left Overshoe, MN is on Allegiant. The wifey and I took our vacation flying on this airline and had a delightful time. The fare of $37 was a little steep, we normally take the bus to enjoy the Florida beaches at Gizzard Junction and we did have to land at that town what has the potato chip factory for a couple of days until they could get a airplane that didn't have those big cracks on the wings. The folks at United even lets us use them little pillows and blankets, to sleep more comfortably on the floor. It was fun like going to camp with a bunch of weird kids you don't know, but there was no activities. We left on Monday and got to Gizzard Junction and it's legendary brown sand beaches on Thursday then it was back to the farm. The negatives flying Allegiant, they fly into little airports far away from civilization, the wicker seats can stick you on yer butt, a group "push to start" the airplane was not much fun, it was hot out there on the runway, and we were all wearing a suitcase amount of clothes so we wouldn't have to pay the $150 check bags fee, the process of electing 3 fellow passengers to be pilots and then putting all your cash into a hat so we could buy gasoline was unusual maybe it had something to do with the cheap $37 fares. Ernie will be reporting on his Spirit Airlines trip later. Spirit has lay down sleeper seats in coach, they used to be called overhead baggage bins.
Wow, interesting! Allegiant definitely has a unique way of running an airline..
Bobby Paluga Now see here, you whippersnapper! Stop a-puttin' down my hometown. Ever body knows we ain't got no airline thar. Not since Jim Bob and Hank was knee-high to a grasshopper, that is. Asides, if th' good Lord wanted us to fly, we'd a been born with wangs. Now you jes' go an' mind yone bidness, and you an' these other good folks go an' have yoselves a good day!
gomphrena Hows it going, fossil.
I never had such a issue on Allegiant. I will be flying them this summer. I agree would love to fly 727 again.
There are many tales of problems on Allegiant. They don't seem to be the safest airline around. Have a great flight nonetheless!
Thanks. I will keep you all posted.
Aaron Gordon I know!! I've never had problems on allegiant...I've flown many times alone when I was 15 and it's the best
Thanks for sharing--glad everyone was alright and the situation did not escalate. There are very high odds that I actually flew on N886GA back when it was N829NK with Spirit Airlines in the early 2000's!
Thanks for commenting! Wow, that's pretty cool! This bird sure has a lot of history, it's a shame Allegiant doesn't take better care of the classic Maddogs.
I worked for this horrible place. You don't want to fly them . Trust me as a former crew member ... saftey is NOT on your side when you pay $99 for a seat. If only you knew what goes on when you are not around . Pay the extra and fly a real airline
They're well-known for their safety issues. Surprising nothing major has happened yet.
So was Value Jet ! Until one went nose diving into the Everglades
As a regular allegiant flier I love it it’s cheap and I have yet to see a problem
Spacebar311 And you will be the first to file a complaint when the day comes. I have seen thousands of cheap people like this. I am a former Flight Attendant and I know your type .... it’s just a matter of time..
Not everyone can afford the *at least $700* to fly from one state to another with United or Delta, though.
I flew those MD-80s with Allegiant in the past before their retirement at the end of 2018. I don’t really miss them because of the maintenance issues they had I personally encountered while flying them. I’m happy they went to an all-Airbus cadre and I wonder what the experience will be like on 737 MAX 8 planes they’ll get at the end of 2024.
3:08 southwest gold livery down there!
Good eye! Thanks for commenting!
Yeah while I was at The Des Moines airport (DSM) there was an allegiant MD-83 which was delayed for about 2 1/2 hours due to technical issues
Wow, that's terrible.
Yes, their 80s are old (well, all 80s are old) but they do seem to do a lot of work on them. It's not always something terribly critical, but enough to cause delays, tail swaps. LAS has recently lost a couple of 80s, retired I think, and they have more A319s there than I remember. Of course, they are also about to get rid of their 3 or 4 757s at LAS, too. I believe the 757s are shortly due for D checks (overhaul) and that is very expensive.
Allegiant sure tries to cut corners a lot. MD-80s are workhorses, but it's a shame Allegiant make people think negatively toward MD-80s. Thanks for the info!
Being I work for allegiant I can fill you in on somethings. They plan to retire all md80s within the next 4 years while they take in new airbuses. Also to the cancled thr Honolulu route so the 757s are retiring to
I really like the sound of the engines. 😊
The JT8D's sound great! Thanks for commenting!
Horizon Productions SFL you welcome. 😊
when in the video u smell smoke?
amazing takeoff sound
Thank you!! :D
I love the little sound right after touchdown the little boom
The "thud" sound is the actual touchdown, when the spoilers go up immediately! Thanks for watching and commenting! :D
I like living so I'll fly the more expensive Southwest, American, Frontier etc
Hahaha! This was the one and only time we tried Allegiant!
Calvin Booker I fly Delta, and I have flown them at least 40 times, no problems, one time I wanted to see how smooth the flight was so when the cart came I got a coke and didn't touch it to see if it was shaky, and nothing, they're great
I personally think that WN (southwest) is the better version of a low fare airline
nice trip, just think safety first. and better late then never
Thanks!! That is true!
Why do people keep saying the MD-80s are old and a classic? MD-80s aren't old at all they were made from 1981 to 1999 so there not a classic. So I don't understand why airlines keep getting rid of these and selling them if there on about 30 years old which isn't old for a airliner to be phased out. A plane like a 727 is a classic and those are over 40 years old which those have been retired from airlines in like 2002.
727's were still being built in the 80's. Both aircraft share the JT8D family, which many consider to be qualified as "classic."
Because they are old, parts are getting difficult to get and they take a lot of jet fuel. They are not modern anymore.
These are the only HD trip reports i have seen! Great video!
Thank you for the kind words!! We're not the best, but we do what we can!
WOW! Fantastic video on my favorite plane! I hope Allegiant take care of their maintenance issues because these planes are awesome. I'm going to try and get a trip on them sometime soon on their MD83's
+Christopher Cooper Thank you! It sure is a wonderful experience to fly on a Super 80! Too bad these wonderful aircraft are being retired by some airlines. Hopefully Allegiant and some other airlines will keep them for a while!
WOW!!!! Two Thomson Airways 787's at the same airport??? The 787 is the best PLANE EVER!!!!!!!
It was completely unexpected! The Dreamliner sure is one of a kind! Thanks for watching!
No it's not the best plane.
Were flying Allegiant in May. It’s not the safest but at the same time they did get all new Airbus A320’s so I’m hoping we get that and not the MD80’s
Hopefully they treat their A320's slightly better. Have a great flight (if it hasn't happened yet)!
Horizon Productions SFL thx, and we’re flying in the 31
Lauren DIY are you alive
Kimathi Awesomeness yep, thankfully😂
Lauren DIY 👍👏
Clapping because you didnt have an extra incident?
Clapping because we survived!
Is it that bad G4?
Guillermo Velázquez Abreu
Their budget maintenance is not the best maintenance out there...
You see an Allegiant MD80
What I see: ☠️
Has nothing to do with the plane, just the airline.
Great video! How was your general experience with Allegiant (forgetting the emergency landing)
Thank you! Allegiant really wasn't all that bad especially with the opportunity to fly on a classic airplane! It's clearly not the best option, but if you need a cheap flight it'll get the job done!
They had to go at some point, they only run Airbus A320 family Aircraft currently. But they are about to get Boeing’s 737 MAX
Interesting choice by Allegiant, given their all-Airbus fleet. Thanks for watching!
I've never seen an Allegiant before, but seems like a nice cheaper airline! Pretty long delay though!
Allegiant is like a slightly better version of Spirit! Thanks for watching!
I've heard some good things about them! Your welcome
I would find it absolutely hilarious if you recorded a dog whistle using TrueSound! Nice video, but I find it odd that the takeoff sounded like a turboprop, much quieter than expected.
+South Florida Foamer™ (Andy) The good ole JT8D's sound quiet inside! They are deafening from outside, though!
Horizon Productions SFL Oh boy do I know that for a fact, an MD-88 activating reverse thrust is a painful thing to hear!
The reason it sounds like a turboprop is because the fan blades are spinning so fast that they are making thousands of little sonic booms.
This was a really nice video I enjoyed the entire thing sorry about the emergency button at least ustill got where you needed to go in the end please contain too many videos that they said thank you very much for such a great upload
+Bajan Aviation Thanks for watching!
+Bajan Aviation i see you getting around :) !!!!
The buzz of the engines on your second departure
It was awesome!!
It's allegiant waht did you expect
Nice lighting in engine at 28:32
Thanks! That was pretty cool to see!
That takeoff roll, amazing!
It was awesome to feel the JT8D power on takeoff! Thanks for commenting!
+Horizon Productions SFL Hey, what program do you use to make these videos? I'm pretty much just suggesting the white text on the bottom that appears every few seconds. :P
DavidVideos
Sony Vegas, but there are other programs that could do the same thing!
Well I’m flying them pretty soon so I hope everything goes well. Their airline needs to go out of business. I’ve had problems with them before
7 months late, but how was the flight?
I'm flying Allegiant to SFB from IND... Do you recommend the airline?
We recommend it as long as you don't have any appointments or anything. It's an opportunity to fly on a classic MD-80! Unless of course, they use a different aircraft on that route.
+Horizon Productions SFL thank you and it is on the MD-80 no appointments thank you
I recently flew on Allegiant I was fortunate to catch a flight on one of their A320’s I thank god.
Definitely not the safest airline!
I bet you that Allegiant is cutting corners on the maintenance of their A320's just like they did on their McDonnell Douglas airplanes.
I think the allegiance need to get a better playing and stop by Andy’s old crapper’s and they will be in good business and you’re right safety is first issue always be checked before you flying allegiant airlines
Nice. The good old MD-80.
Thanks! It's a shame Allegiant treats these beauties poorly.
I think y'all ended up at Orlando Intl rather than Orlando Sanford.
SFB is the code for Orlando Sanford! Thanks for watching!
Horizon Productions SFL No problem! My bad on that. I forgot that Sanford has multiple concourses and it's not like Clearwater or Mesa Gateway where it's not just the long terminal. Also that you would need a stair truck to board a plane. I also forgot they use jet bridges and they have intl airlines flying there.
Sirens & Aviation
Yeah, we were surprised to see those two Dreamliners at Orlando Sanford! Turns out TUI / Jetairfly / Thomson don't fly to MCO, only SFB!
Excellent sound on takeoff!!
Thanks for watching and commenting, and we're glad you enjoyed it! The JT8D sound is wonderful!
watching this after 5 years
Responding to this after 7 months :) Thanks for commenting!
I'm flying to Vegas on Allegiant next week I usually fly Delta :(
Godspeed, let us know how it goes!
Horizon Productions SFL Allegiant isn't that bad, I was just very uncomfortable in those seats! Lol
Kyle Ryan I love Delta I have flown on it at least 40 times
A-are you alive?
Wow! This video is amazing :D
Especially the audio quality at the Takeoff! How did you get it so clear and realistic!? :D
Thank you very much!! We're the first on RUclips to try documenting 100% authentic sound in aviation (hence the "TrueSound" name in most of our videos), and so far we (and many others) are happy with the results.
Horizon Productions SFL Nice! :D but what equipment is used for the audio? :)
We take the time to write detailed descriptions for each and every video on our channel. All information is painstakingly written there. But despite the effort that goes into it, barely anyone pays attention.
I know Allegiant gets a lot of negativity, and a lot is deserved, but the pilot had his head on straight, made an emergency landing and got his passengers to safety and they got another plane. I applaud the pilot and crew erring on the side of cation.
Absolutely! Thanks for commenting!
8:00 what airport is that? Just below the end of the wing?
Allegiant and spirit are both low cost priced flights but spirit charges more for bags and gives less leg room but you get a much much much safer flight. And allegiant airlines gives more legroom offers cheaper checkin bags but there is very very low and bad safety. Which one would you choose?
Delta has a old fleet but the md-80s are in great condition. and does American still use many of them?
Spirit isn't so bad, since they're doing alright with maintenance. They're more on the safe side. As for Allegiant... Compared to most airlines, Allegiant's aircraft are *four times* more likely to experience mechanical problems according to a study by the Tampa Bay Times.
www.tampabay.com/projects/2016/investigations/allegiant-air/mechanical-breakdowns/
Horizon Productions SFL yes spirit is very safe. Have they had a crash before
Spirit has improved. Flew them last week EWR to MCO round trip. New planes, improved service, on time arrival, awful legroom but at a good price.
They retired the MD-80 I’ll miss the sound of the JT8D engines
Very professional and nice!
Thanks for commenting!
When listening to the atc conversation between ALLGT 783 and Orlando Sanford did I hear the GPWS call out 500 ?
How were you able to get that ATC recording ?
ATC recordings from liveatc.net (as indicated in the video).
Great quality!!
Thank you!
The new a320s that they are purchasing are that last ones to be rolled out of the production lines with the old types of engins😂allegiant is so cheep. But the Airbus a320 is great compared to the md-80s that they have
Allegiant always seems to be cutting corners... It's a shame they treat their airplanes so badly, especially the MD-80s which are real workhorses if they're treated right (look at American and Delta).
Excelente video!! Muy buen sonido!! La ubicación cercana a los motores ayudó mucho!
Thank you very much! :D
Diego Germán Telesa do you know Spanish?
Let me get this right. Smoke in the cabin, but it goes away, so just check the outside of the aircraft for what? Flames? During embers? Fire would be inside the cabin/cargo hold. Just like Value Jet, which your CEO ran.
Don't tell the customers. They don't need to know their lives are in danger. Remain seated while the fire grows in the cargo hold.
Don't add fuel, even though you diverted to another airport I am certain you had the legal amount of fuel Were you carrying more than required by the FAA (destination, plus alternate, plus 45 minutes)?
Did the FAA investigate? What were their findings, and what action taken against the pilot (if any) and Allegiant (if any)?
This carrier is reckless. Do not fly Allegiant. You are lucky if all that happens is a 6 hour delay.
Ah, good ole Allegiant! We're glad to be safe after that flight.
Ascot Berks you saying they are reckless is completely without merit. They are a budget airline and yes are going to cut costs where they can, but they still follow the same rules as everyone else. And I can tell you, as a pilot, no pilot would accept the plane and put his life and license on the line if he was not 100% confident in the plane. They are just as safe as everyone else, just maybe not as comfortable. I don't fly them, and don't plan on it, but it's not fair to try and discourages others based on your option.
Luve25. I disagree. It is not about being a budget airline, it is about a total lack of regard for a safety focused operation. Hard for the public to know, and I have no inside knowledge of their operation. I have read numerous articles, the most significant when the head of Flight Safety and VP of Flight Operations flew a flight LAS-Fargo ND, into a situation in which they declared a fuel emergency. They failed to notice the airport was closed for an air show, something they should have known about had they completed their preflight work, then they clearly did not carry the required fuel to their alternate, plus 45 minutes as required. Neither lost their job, they were management pilots, setting policy for Allegiant. I too am a general aviation pilot. I would never file a flight plan that did not consider fuel requirements for an alternate. Would you? Allegiant management pilots did, and then did not lose their jobs. Of course I am not aware of any unannounced discipline.
Ascot Berks An alternate is not required if the weather forecast at the destination is good enough, therefore, they had no alternate and a lower reserve fuel requirement. I also believe reading that and the flight was delayed and was still planning on arriving before the air show. I will try to to find again and re-read that article. But I do see what you are saying, but at the same time, I'm saying if they were actually dangerous, they would not be flying.
C.G. B2001 have you seen allegiants records
The strange sound coming from the plane when you said the a/c is broken is actually the hydraulics. That’s a completely normal sound that comes from almost every midsized commercial aircraft that I can think of. Now in terms of the broken a/c? Well....you’re flying allegiant...🤷🏽♂️
Interesting, we haven't heard this sound on other flights. Maybe it was more audible with the broken AC. Or just less noticeable. Thanks for commenting!
They making fun of the pilot for stuttering. I say if you think you can do better go get your pilot license and fly your damn self and see how you react when you have an emergency. Rude people irk me. Seems to me who’s flying a millions of dollar aircraft and who’s riding in it.
Well said! Thanks for commenting!
I'll be flying delta soon to Florida
Cool! Where to in Florida?
Can I ask what row you were in?
Row 32, seat 32F. Thanks for watching!
No problem! I may fly Allegiant to Tennessee sometime this year. I like the engine noise and view shown in this video.
Cool! Happy flying!
Allegiant804 - Florida Aviation & Railfanning LOL have a safe trip. If you want to fly on an MD-80 just go delta. Safer route.
Allegiant Scarelines
Haha! Thanks for watching and commenting!
11:14 flight deck we’re gonna make a pre-cautionary landing into the Orlando Sanford airport at this time uhhh we should be on the ground in approximately 15 minutes flight attendants prepare for arrival at this time
PEANUT M&Ms in fight? Anyone for some pediatric anaphylaxis?
Awesomeness times 10 :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks times 10!!! :D
I was in this plane 2 years ago
This makes me nervous to fly Allegiant. However, you did a great job documenting your trip!
Thank you!
I’m late and I bet you forgot about this comment but Allegiant retired these planes and got new ones so there’s nothing to worry about😂
That woman passenger mimicking the pilot was totally uncalled for
Yep. Thanks for watching!
very interesting
Thank you!
Great Video!
+Mason Petrosky Great filming, cameraman!
This is the only time I can understand why people clapped after landing
Usually it's annoying!
my best friend is flying on a plane for the first time ever and using allegiant and I'm sending her a bunch of allegiant plane crash/emergency/fails to mess with her... lol
Haha!
How do you know which JT8Ds are on the aircraft?
We use these two websites, but there are many others.
www.planespotters.net/airlines
registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Inquiry.aspx
Horizon Productions SFL Thank you!
That's Allegiant Air for you.
Definitely.
Here we go again The MD-80 problems for allegiant
The day I found out they fired a pilot for an emergency evacuation was they I decided that no matter how broke I was, how bad I wanted or needed to get there, I would never fly them. And it sucks because they actually do cheap round trip flights to Vegas from my local regional airport. But instead I'll drive 4 hours to fly out of Dallas with another airline.
Hope there have been some positive changes since then! Thanks for watching!
Nice video, that must have been a scary experience.
It was scary for the average passengers, but we aviation enthusiasts were so happy to film it!
+Horizon Productions SFL hahaha!!! 😂😂 Good job then.
Idk if this helps or worsens my fear of flying...
Don't be afraid of flying! I'm sure you know the facts and all, and flying is the safest method of transportation. According to the New York Times, you could fly every day for 120,000 years and still be safe.
But just remember. These pilots are trained over and over and over again, to deal with the most impossible situations imaginable. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
If you're scared of flying I recommend you stay away from the low-cost carriers (check the airline ratings on SkyTrax before you choose an airline) just because I don't trust their maintenance that much.
Flying is one of the most joyful experiences you can have, there's nothing to worry about! Enjoy the luxury of air travel!
+Horizon Productions SFL Thank you! I'm flying Frontier in June, which is a budget airline but I fly with them a few years ago and felt pretty safe. I've been watching flight videos to get prepared and I've really enjoyed yours!
Tori Danielle
Thanks! Glad we can help! Hope you have a fun and fantastic flight!! :D
"Discount Price = Discount Maintenance!" That's why I will never voluntarily fly with them.
anyone who cares about being alive should pay that bit more and fly southwest or frontier. at least they maintain their fleet
We fly anyone, LITERALLY ANYONE besides Allegiant.
Put United Airlines on your no-fly list
ChrisCardenDrums They follow the same rules as everyone else. And you know it's much cheaper to maintain the planes than it is to pay out a huge lawsuit if a plane crashes
ChrisCardenDrums or delta
Southwest has the better aircraft
dang.. old ass plane.. sounds great..
Classics are the best! Thanks for watching!
Loved the video, well done!
Thank you very much!
3:08 CLASSIC RETRO!!
Thank you for commenting!
Man i havent been on an MD-83 in forever
It's a wonderful aircraft!
What a wreck!
Thanks for watching!
Research VALUE JET EVERGLADES DISASTER it will take you to the same unorthodox cutting corners CEO of todays ALLEGIANT AIR Maurice J Gallagher Jr. This outfit is an accident waiting to happen!!!
I think he’s referring to valuejet overall safety which from I heard was laughable.

Are you an air crash geek
Woah! Cool video though!
Thanks for commenting!
Desert Sky- Before you shoot me a corrective comment, read my comment in full. Allegiant does not fly regional jets, they are not a contract carrier and I never implied that they were. My comment with the Correctamundo, was in response to the person mentioning the low wages pilots are receiving, in particular the contract carriers. Refer to the report on the Buffalo crash involving the Continental Express regional aircraft. The investigation showed that pilots for those contract carriers do not get enough sleep, they are paid too little, and lastly they have too few flying hours. Your knee jerk reaction indicated to me that you are a reader with poor comprehension, or you only read a portion, and lastly you couldn't wait to illustrate your vast knowledge of commercial aviation in correcting me. Yes, I do make mistakes, just not this time
Bobby Paluga A few things, pilots flying for contract carriers have the same rest rules as all other pilots, the major discussion from the crash was the fact neither of them had slept in a bed the night before and commuted, but that was their choice. The low pay sucks, and has gotten and continues to get better, and they fly just as much as the mainline guys. They also tend to have many more legs per day and "hand fly" more. They may do 3-5 legs in a day, getting lots of time flying not at cruise, while the mainline guys fly 1 or 2, MAYBE 3 legs. And, they get the same level of training. It has changed In the last 10 years, but Thats my 2 cents
luev25 More than 4-5 legs a day, try 7-8 legs per day. I’m a private pilot, my wife and daughter fly for American. With the exception of cross country legs, my wife flew Mainline 320, 737, 757 to SNA-LAS-SAN-PHX-SLC-LAS-OHR for example, she was senior and normally received the lines she bid. SkyWest the predominate contract carrier in the West, (not regional airline) had legs similar to PHX-FLG- Grand Canyon, LAS, St George, Cedar City, Page, Farmington, PHX. 30-60 minute flights. The reason the Continental Express pilots did not get enough sleep they COULD NOT afford to get a hotel room. The first officer was from Seattle I believe, not sure about the captain. The FO tried sleeping on a couch in the Newark (CO) break room to little avail. Her salary $18;000, the Captain just under $24,000. It’s safe to assume that much of that amount went to pay off student loans from the company that provided their training.
Allegiant couldn't even make it from FLL to SFB wow!
We diverted to SFB!
What seat did you fly in?
Thanks for watching and *reading the description!*
I like how they just rolled out another old airplane used by 2 other foreign airlines. lol
Brace for Impact. Brace Brace Heads Down Stay Down Heads Down Stay Down. Easy Victor Easy Victor. Release your seat belts Release Your Seat Belts Come This Way.
THE WHOLE FLEET of "Allegiant Air" should be at the Mohave ready for the scrapper!
Just the MD-80 & 757's. Their Airbus fleet is actually nice! lol
TWTR4EVER as a matter of fact allegiant is switching to an only airbus fleet in the next few years
+Kyle K. .......Are they leasing new or buying new from AIRBUS, or are they buying used AIRBUS from second parties or leasing from second parties. The history on the log books of this aircrafts needs to be evaluated.because now we're going from fly by wire to used joystick ?
They are using a mix of both they have 6 from airbus this year and they are buying some others from other companies
+Kyle k. ......Is the equipment from AIRBUS purchased or leased, it has to leased , I don't think AIRBUS would give them new equipment on finance, they're not that big of a player. You see, that's my issue with them, if they're leasing, now they're going to have to levels of maintenance for those aircrafts, which to begin with ,they're not done in house like DL, AA, or UA they subcontract maintenance. Now you go into the requirements of services they most meet with the AIRBUS equipment. That's when a small outfit like Allegiant gets into financial and safety problems.
I wonder why the captain took off with flaps partially extended
That's how airplanes work..
ruclips.net/video/kmD5puuVLpI/видео.html At 7:15 in that video, a pilot attempted to takeoff with the flaps fully retracted. With commercial airliners, it is necessary to slightly lower the flaps for takeoff so that the wings will generate enough lift to put the plane in the air at the airspeed which the plane is designed to be airborne by. Once the plane accelerates a little more (after the plane is airborne), the flaps can then be retracted since at higher airspeed the wings generate enough lift (with the flaps fully retracted) to keep the plane in the air.
Its better to fly with Delta or Southwest as they have more planes.
Fleet size generally doesn't mean better service, although Delta and Southwest do have good service. Best bet is to check the airline ratings before choosing an airline!
Love this plane, and livery but not the airline
Yes! It's a shame they treat their airplanes like this!
Your brave for flying with allegiant. Hopefully they go out of business.
It was the first time, and the last time. Hopefully they do..
Long live super80
