Ironically his autobiography is one of the most candid self effacing and most interesting reads I've come across. The thing is i suppose everyone has at least one good book in them and its usually an autobiography where you can be honest so i suppose he would have trouble writing fiction or another story like Ben Elton. I loved how he brought down the whole Muslim community in one night when the top Arab generals went to see his show and said they were all hypocrites & greedy liars. Great stuff!

Apparently the mayor of Rockhampton said that Akmal disgraced himself on this show however after doing a corporate gig he was in the front row and Akmal made a friend with him so he was ok by the mayor but I don't blame him if he never wants to go back to Rockhampton again I can imagine the women are quite neanderthal there.

He questioned Christianity & prefers discussing issues with Monty python than philosophizing with any clergyman. His first ad as 18yr male needed for work was a riot.

@MelovElmo In theory, it should be. But there is a flaw; it is assumed that Comedians are funny, which Akmal is not (Paul McDermott isn't exactly funny either). It all serves to prove the greater point; Australia has a severe comedy deficit. Were this not the case, GO!, 7Mate and other channels would not have to rely so heavily on american and british imports.
