I lived in Rockhampton for over 10 years, met my wife there and my two children were born there … and I agree with everything Akmal said.
One of my best memory of my Australien trip is Rocky. I came from Morocco for a month holiday and i met a very nice and warm people. Blackdown National Park and a cost of Yepoon.... was a good memories back in 2018
I went to a steakhouse in Rockhampton and ordered a steak. The told me they ran out of beef .... I could see cows out the window.
Funny enough all the cattle are outside rocky unless u was eating picnic outside the meatworks

It doesn’t matter how many time I watch this. I’ll always laugh if I’m feeling a bit shit off in the world.
I want to say, ‘I can’t believe I was referenced in an Akmal story,’ but can’t. It was my sister. Naaah! Anyone sensible avoids the show but I’m happy to have lived vicariously through this hilarious spot.
I wasn’t expecting him to refer to Good News Week here. I remember Paul McDermott losing his shit when Akmal wouldn’t shut up…it was awesome.
Wasn’t that the episode where Paul started deducting points for Akmal’s swearing?
McDermott could not deal with anyone upstaging him.
I lived in Rockhampton for 8 years, and I never once took my kids to the show for exactly this reason 😂

I lived in Rocky for some time. I'd planned on staying for 3 months and it took me 22 years to escape. My daughters still live there though.
I just watched this and got out of the car to a meeting in Rocky. The manager says can you please come back tomorrow at 4:30 pm( Fkkk) so what should come out of my mouth....... wanna a kick in teeth... ooopsss nooooooo can't say that to a customer.... shit ..... far unreal luckily he laughed...

Punching someone so viciously almost seems to be the norm there, I worked the graveyard shift at subway for 5 of those years (East st 🤮)
& I had to break up / or get the popo on many a fight!
Once a guy took a hit straight to the eye & got knocked TF out, truly brutal.
Not surprising really tho, considering it's the Beef capital! 🤣😂🤣

I heard they borrowed some sheep from the agricultural show and lead them around the fair like dogs. Someone said "Nice sheep"....they replied " Hey dont talk about our wives like that!"
