    I’m always looking for the defective box. Some tools just come in bad boxes, chainsaws in particular. If you find one, you ask for a discount and if you know an employee you may get a better one. Always make friends with the employees

    I've noticed when stuff is in the wrong place it's often on clearance. The computer says it's not selling so they drop the price. It's not selling cause it's not where it should be !!! I love finding top stock at Lowes ! The employee says " we're out of those " then I point it out to them ! Lol

    I worked at Home Depot for 4 years until recently. Employees are literally not allowed to sell penny skus. Its against policy and the employee could get fired. Checkouts alert to penny skus and wont allow the transaction to go through until the sku is removed.

    • @ToolswithSoAlz
      @ToolswithSoAlz  8 месяцев назад

      Yet I buy them all the time. No one gets fired. Corporate sends out a report and the store will lose a percentage of their profit sharing. They frightened you into believing the wrong thing.

      @@ToolswithSoAlz the store you shop at is clearly different than mine was. We were never allowed to sell them.

      @not-a-raccoon Funny because I will go into any Home Depot, find penny items and buy them. There are Discord and Reddit groups and entire channels of people going into Home Depot and buying penny deals. 49 states, 1700 store, all have sold penny items this year.

    Rob do you know how good are they about honoring prices of stuff that's mis marked. Does it depend on individual store manager

    • @ToolswithSoAlz
      @ToolswithSoAlz  10 месяцев назад

      It does truly depend on the manager. Most are really good at letting it go. Some are epically bad. The reason the bad ones won't honor or allow penny deals to be sold is because their store gets hit on their report card, a negative mark screws up their profit sharing and brings more upper management into the store more often

      This is why I don't trust anyone else's opinion. Isn't Makita part of the " big three" of construction,but yet you call it junk? People are funny. If it can drill a hole at home then it will work at a job site. Job sites usually need tools that they can beat the hell out of and the " diy" takes care of their tools. I take that into consideration. I would like to see the Ryobi impact against another of any same comparable impact. Unless Ryobi is shipping their better tools to my area, then I guess it's about the location of stores also.
