Good luck on your wonderful adventures. I love the info that Marc puts out and his corral set up. When I worked at a wild animal park, we had an Ober-cross that would ride the tour bus and do a meet and great. Eventually, one of our fallow does started coming onboard as well, leaving her newborn fawn with another deer. That's all to say, it's amazing how the animals watch and learn from each other. I have found that if I create a "rewarding" relationship with one or two animals, the others want to participate as well. When I drove carriage in SLC, I never had to chase down my horses. If anything, I had to push my way OUT of the pens, because everybody wanted to come with me - a bag of alfalfa horse cookies in my locker does the trick. I even had one horse that would take my lead rope and escort my driving horse to the dressing barn, drop the rope and wait patiently while I got my horse to the dressing station before giving them both "cookies" and then leading the escort back to his pen. He was a funny horse. Wishing you lots of fun and wonderful memories on your adventures. Take lots of pics and videos to share wiith all of us.
I have packgoats, out of central ca. We hunt nebo every year for the last 6 years my boys are 2.5 I won’t make the trip with them until next years as they’re only doing 20 lbs this year. Got 2 new boys this year too much fun! My buddy took his out last year on the opener and spent 3 nights in the bench trail during that storm on the general opener last year!. Marc has been great! Headed out for Nephi/Mt nebo next week!
So much fun! Nebo is an amazing place for goats and getting out! We have had our goats all over on this range and we will be out again next weekend so keep your eye out. It would be great to connect sometime when you are out. Check us out in Instagram @nebopackgoats!
