Wild Camping With Three Dogs and a Goat is an entertaining experience to say the least. They are however more useful than one may think. My dogs provide security against bears. In Utah bears are hunted with dogs which conditions them to run away at the first sign that a dog is in the area. My dogs also come in quite handy for those nights when it gets a bit colder than expected. They are happy to snuggle to share warmth which has saved me more than once. While I don't snuggle bill, he definitely pulls his own weight. Especially on work motivated trips like this one when I'm bringing extra gear for testing or filming purposes. All in all I think we make a pretty good team for both work and play.
As for the new products I tested on this trip:

Kit Bag/Chest Pack: I'm loving this bag not only because its size seems to be perfect for holding the different gear I find myself wanting to keep together. This pack also has great ergonomics! I love using it. Items are easy to find and convenient to get when you need them. The way you can organize makes it very intuitive to use.
BOX-POT minimalist solo cook kit! If you like eating real food rather than "freeze dried" but need to keep your gear at a minimum you'll love BOX-POT! This little guy takes up about the same space as a camping mug but cooks all kinds of food amazingly well!
So far, I've made:
Bacon & Eggs with Sausage. The square shape and low profile makes pan frying totally doable! Definitely delicious!
Biscuits and Gravy. I baked the biscuits using the cooking stone then cooked sausage and made milk gravy from scratch! Everything cooked in the BOX-POT. Too good to be true!
Ramen. I know, not very challenging but the BOX POT is the perfect size and shape for cooking the Ramen noodle block without needing to break it up. Bonus points!
Cake. Believe it or not, you can bake a cake to perfection using the box pot with the cooking stone as thermal mass in the bottom. Delectable!

You never want to go back and get them when they're that little. That is a critical time for them to learn that it's up to them to stay with you. If you always go back and get them then you will be your dog's human rather than your dog being your dog. 👍😊😎

Long time subscriber, first time commenting. Another well-edited adventure video, as usual. The new mutt is a great addition to the pack, and a very pretty addition at that. As someone who used to raise goats, Bill will always be the star of the show for me. All your animals are so well behaved which of course is a result of excellent training on your part. Glad to see you're adding cast iron cookware to your product line... that's all we ever cook with, even when kayak camping, so I'm looking forward to the kickstarter with great interest. Suggestion for a cutting board: there are thin, flexible plastic cutting boards that are light weight, can be cut to shape to fit down around the inside perimeter of a pack. Also serve as place mats on a picnic table.

A wonderful two night cook out! Bill and the cameras, he is just not that careful! haha! Not sure why Juni is itchy but we have an itchy dog and she gets a couple tablespoons of plain organic probiotic yogurt daily and it really helps. So glad your foot is almost as good as new. Your cookstone is genius! I'd love one shaped for my Rothco canteen cup. I have my Nano, canteen cup fitted lid and parchment paper. I guess I could grab a flat piece of slate an hand file it to shape- perhaps I'll try that but I'd prefer YOUR field tested cookstone cut to fit. Please let me know your thoughts and thanks for innovating!

You should make an adapter that looks like the skillet but open were you have the cooking surface. Make it 2-3" tall and with air holes so you can put coals between two sets of the dutch ovens. Basically make it where you can stack two of the dutch ovens and cook using both at once. Like how I can take two on my regular camp ovens and use the coals on the lid of my first camp oven to cook in the top dutch oven.

Great video as always. Instead of using charcoal, could you pre-heat a cooking stone on the grill plate and place them both on top of the box pot when baking (not using the box pot lid at all)?
I suggest that the gas canister be stored OUTSIDE of the wind screen, not next to the fire.

Hey bud it’s the chest strap on the dogs bag that causes the rubbing. that I removed the chest strap and now always attach a caribeener to the collar that works well. Those stretchy ropes with the hooks work as well for round the belly if straps are causing issues just remove them and modify bag . Cool video subbed ! Atb
