Nice! Saw the Frecce Tricolori again this year in austria at the Airpower Airshow. These guys never disappoint. Thinking of getting the MB-339 for some aerobatics 🙃

That’s awesome. My friend is a actual aerobatics pilot who flies the Pitts so I can’t wait to get into the backseat and learn all the cool stuff this plane can do from him. It’s going to be a hell of a ride.

Grats in the Launch but how viable is a trainer jet for anything exciting? They never have range, stores capacity and like seven flares, so I’m genuinely asking what this plane is for, in the context of dcs and not an environment where there aren’t *much* more capable, hostile fighters in the sky with you like MSFS or Xplane?
It’s what’s kept be from trying something like the Albatros: what do you even *do* in it?
For starters, having fun. It's popular enough as a mod that DCS felt like fleshing it out officially.
Look at its range and capacity as a challenge. Try and do as much damage as the big boys with limited capability. You might just have fun. Thanks! -NineLine/Norm
Training general airmanship, training navigation without aids like GPS and such, training IFR, practice formation flying and aerobatics, cosplaying argentinian pilots in the Falklands, what-if counterinsurgency scenarios and low intensity conflicts involving light attack aircrafts and helos.. You won't be slaying Vipers in multiplayer, if that's what you are asking, but imagination is the only limit in a sandbox.

well it saw some war action, even during Falkland war, that make it a pretty interesting aircraft.. yes it has very poor operational capibilities but thats the challenging part
