    I stared at blender for 2 weeks before actually using it, but now I'm so far down the rabit hole that by the time I learn how to use blender well, ai tools will come in so clutch that Zbrush and all non free software will be obsolete.

    I hope blender really ups the power of blender to achieve the high poly sculpts of zbrush.
    Blender has alot of tools and can do so many things and im sure it could have so much more. But i think if they really focus on how much blender is able to handle. It will really blow zbrush out of the water. I dont care if blender doesn’t have a wide range of sculpting tools. If i can achieve the same results of big high detailed models and dioramas then thats all i need.

      From what I know, ZBrush is not really working in "3D". Hence why it can handle so much polycount.

    Nice! Although I never actually noticed that Sculpting in Blender's splash screen that opens up a sphere scene xD
    So if it were my first time in 3D I'd go to Sculpting tab and try to sculpt on the default cube which of course wouldn't work well because it has like zero subdivisions. So for me they both score 0 in terms of initial confusion :)

    How about just remove 2.5D entirely? Is there a specific case use to this today? I know this was the original intention when ZBrush first launched.

    • @AlHowell
      @AlHowell  6 месяцев назад

      That is how Zbrush is able to reach insane poly counts… having the 2.5d architecture. But I don’t know anyone actually using 2.5d painting tools

    A few years ago I fired up Zbrush and left clicked and all I got was those stupid red squares, I gave up.
    Now I use Blender!

    IMPO this is not what is wrong with Zbrush, what is wrong with Zbrush is the UI is complete dog shit, not intuitive at all, when they bring out new features they just keep adding extra menus upon menu upon menu or little dots, which do one think filled in but something else when not. for a newbie sculptor this is not the best IMPO Seriously, even following a pro like Mike pav, the amount of info he imparts just to so the simplest of things astounds me with non intuitive menu naming etc

    • @AlHowell
      @AlHowell  6 месяцев назад

      I agree with you about the menus, and circle and dots… so true! The customization of the ui helps a lot though. I love my custom pop up menu
