@Throw Rowley Interior is much worse, everything is loose, there's a lot of cheap plastic. 1.5 Ecoboost is very thirsty, especially with the automatic transmission. We're talking about 1,5-2l/100km more than Golf 1.5 TSI. And it's not cheaper at all, it' s actually a bit more expensive in all trims. More - pretty much all safety assistants are an option even in the highest Titanium trim. I can accept that in the Golf which is 6 years old and offers them in dirt cheap packages but Focus is brand new!
@Throw Rowley Most of what I wrote were objective facts that have nothing to do with VW. And when it comes to the interior quality just go to the nearest Ford dealership and check how loose the center stack it. PS. And tyhose LED headlamps appear to be truly dreadful.
sic22l I’m sure trim levels differ from country to country. In Denmark at least, the Focus is cheaper than the golf and has a lot more equipment from standard including the safety features. Regarding the interior, I guess it’s a matter of taste, but I like the one in the focus a lot more and find the seats a lot more comfortable, at least in the ST line. And fuel efficiency, I don’t know, but I’d be very surprised if what you say is actually true. Also because the focus can pause one of its cylinders. I wonder if you’re comparing two different ways of calculating fuel efficiency.
Golf can shut off two cylinders. 1.5 Ecoboost has never been economical, now it's been paired with new 10-speed automatic which is quite slow and acts like old-style slushbox, as a result you have a quite thirsty combo.
Got the golf 7 as a company car but ordered the new focus. Can't wait to get my hands on. Both the interior and exterior is awesome and 100x better than the Golf
I've noticed the same thing... I'm very curious to know what was going on. It seems that the torque converter lockup clutch was operating wrong, it disengages more often than it should do. Or it's just a bug on rev counter... Volkswagen's setup to epicyclic automatics are once the torque converter is locked up, it shifts gears without using the torque converter, based on ignition cuts and other kinds of strategies and that's the way I like and it results in a behavior more like DSGs, which's perfect.
What happened to it? I think I'm in troubles also, my 1.0 EcoBoost started to make some weird noises when I shift the first 3 gears, what were your symptoms?
@@MarianDoruPopaThey couldnt fix the noise in the gearbox and they couldnt get a new one so they stripped down the box and found a bearing seized so they replaced it and on the way home the gearbox starting making noise again. I rejected the car but the garage wouldnt give me a different make but they said they will replace the car for a new one. After 3000kms in the new one the same noise starting appearing in this gearbox. Im now stuck with the car, as far as im concerned theres a fault with these gearboxes. When i change from 2nd to 3rd gear i can hear a cracking noise up front right sometimes i hear it in 4th aswell.
@@micksey8212 Yep seems to be the same problem I have, cracking noise in first 3 gears, pedal to the floor when I change I can hear a cracking noise, sometimes I hear a different noise when I press the clutch or release it... also the car is jerky at constant rpm in first 2-3 gears, for example from 1500 to 2000 rpm car accelerate abruptly after a small stall ( clutch pedal fully released) and at 2000 constant rpm 1st or second gear car jerks, like I press and release the clutch over and over for like half a second, gone to ford they said its normal and refused to give me another car to test if another one has the same issues or noises. ps: The car is 2.300 km atm, I noticed the problem at 100-150km, at 450-500km went to them.
@@MarianDoruPopa Ive had 2 new focus st lines 1.0l ecoboost and both have the same gearbox issues. we have a 2009 ford fiesta with 125,000 kms and the gearbox is perfect in it and they gave me a loan of a 2018 focus 1.5 diesel and its gearbox was cracking going into 2nd and 3rd gears. All i can do is trade in the car next year but i wont be going to ford. Its very strange that the gearbox was perfect and smooth when it was new but up around 3000kms the gearbox starting making noise
Mario Carneiro has if you think the president is retarded for forcing the country to boost its personal economy and growing its own work force you must be some kind of stupid. Not sure where you’re from but I can guarantee wherever it is you’re kissing some scumbag lying politicians ass
I agree, I like the old mk3 facelift interior better than this new focus. Especially the way the center console meets the dashboard, where it goes in under the dashboard. It's like something you would see in a golf or polo in the '90. It does make the car look more roomier than it is, but it also makes it look cheep and old. The materials and the build quality is very good, nothing to fault Ford for there. I've owned both cars, but so far I'm liking the new mk4 better than the mk3. Despite the one issue above, it's one of the best cars I've owned.
Ford did a good job using blue for the buttons and all. Looks great
Can’t wait to get mine on Wednesday
Better and quieter than Golf and Ceed.
Good Job, Ford!
It's 6 years younger than Golf. Yet it still has worse interior, it uses much mroe fuel and it's more expensive.
@Throw Rowley

Much nicer than the Golf 8, it’s modern but with traditional buttons
Best handling fwd car in the world currently
It handles like a dream
Beautiful car
So quiet inside
looks like the LED headlights are weak?
I Love Ford🤩🤩
Me too!!!
Your a fast little driver
Hello. I have a question. Does this exact model in the video has auto highbeam?
Got the golf 7 as a company car but ordered the new focus. Can't wait to get my hands on. Both the interior and exterior is awesome and 100x better than the Golf
Nice ride
Why is that car park so narrow
i have noticed the rpm gauge twitch from time to time. i there some kind of problem with the new automatic transmission?

@@luisfelipecarreira I feel it too and it annoys me. I have 1.0 Ecoboost 125HP A8
It's not a rev counter bug. You can actually feel the change in the revs
For me it happens only at low revs
A Mix of Volvo, Mercedes and Ford. The new Focus. Not bad in my opinion
Is that the 1.5 EcoBlue 120 PS version?
yes 1.5 EcoBlue 88 KW /120 PS 300 NM
My 2019 st line 1.0L ecoboost has to get a new manual gearbox at only 3000km and its taking 6 weeks to get it. What the hell are ford at.
there are always such special cases. like one out of thousands. Just sad it hit you.

Joe black aka tool cool 4 school
Headlights are wonderful but engine sound is little to loud in my opinion
Can you change the interior color lights? I have this car and I can't.. thanks
You can't. Only if you have Vignale version, which is the most expensive
What about manual mode (M) with paddles?
Really hate Ford for killing off the focus ST here in the US
Agreed!

It's more light blue IRL.

Actually the interior is the worst part of this car. It's not very high quality and it looks very generic.
Fuel consumption - 6,9 is true ??
The weight in information its wrong!
