I've got a 2015 Focus with the 998cc Ecoboost with 140hp. I've driven many a fast car, but the Ford EcoBoost 3 cylinder is an amazing unit! Not incredibly fast, but it pulls like a train. It's a surprisingly good car, and it's a lot of fun in the bends.
I busted my ass in 2017... working so much OT saving money for this damn car. Then I found out the United States isn't getting it... I'm still very upset.

Some of the ones in early test drives had wobbly center armrests, but I haven't noticed that in showroom cars at all, everything seemed well put together. I know what you mean, though, I'm a translator and I can tell you that this was a sloppy job on the translator's part. However, at least it's something that can be updated easily. Great video, btw. I love the way odd cylinder engines sound, and this one is no exception.
Glad you mentioned that the wobbly center armrests has gone. Are you aware of the wobbly center console? Going for a test drive soon I hope and this will be the first thing I test.
This would be great with the Fiesta ST tune, which I'm sure the aftermarket will come out with eventually. Great video, I think you're the only person who has done a POV of the 1.5T 182HP Focus!
@@pummyy So far, so good, didn't have any problems. I have only 13k kms with it, but I am really happy with my decision looking back. I have the 1.5 150hp engine with automatic transmission and I think it's the best combination. Fuel consumption can be all over the place, from 5% if you drive constantly at around 70-80 km/h, to 7% at highway speeds, to 12-13% in busy city traffic. Happy I didn't go for ST line trim, as I wouldn't have liked for the ride to be any stiffer than this, and the car is still very stable on twisty roads, even at speed over 100km/h. Winter package with heater seats and wheel is a must have for me in the winter also.

The charging problem is for sure from your iPhone x really small charging area, not the car. I had no problem with another phone, 1 iPhone and 1 Samsung.

preisleistung stimmt hinten und vorne nicht. für den gleichen preis kriegst du aus japan eine mittelklasse limousine mit vollaustattung, nappaleder, headup display in der scheibe, holz, aluminium, 8 zoll touch display, sehr gute belüftete und beheizte sitze, automatik, allrad, ne wohlfühl atmosphäre, usw.... bessere qualität, längere garantie. und auch die 200ps. für den focus wie er im video zu sehen ist würd ich 20k€ zahlen als neuwagen! mehr ist das ding nicht wert. und für den veralteten focus wollen die 35k. hahaha alter...
If I had 30.000€ to spare I would immediately drive my Rover 75 to a Ford Dealer and get a Focus Vignale 1.5l manual. Great looks, niche car, great dynamics and 182hp? Count me in.
I think that majority of people will don’t take this option because not everybody have wireless charging and that option is expensive.. But I love this car
I have recently upgraded myself from Golf 4 diesel to the Ford Focus model with petrol 125 HP engine. With Golf 4 we were a great team for 17 years. So it is too early to say what the true value of this new car model is. It will become obvious after years of driving. However, I agree with the review, it feels good both, to see the car from outside and to seat and drive inside. After first week, my personal favorite feature is ... the heated steering wheel. So far I noticed one annoying thing. When activating turn indicator light, the lane departure warning system gets switched on accidentally too.This is because of touching a button located unfortunately on top of the switching bar. I would need some time to develop a personal skill to avoid it. The new Ford Focus is a silicon car, with millions of transistors. I can really feel it, I am not alone when inside. A friend of mine spontaneously said to me: you have got a car like a space ship :-) So what? A good job dear engineers from Cologne and Aachen - and please, do not let me never down on my journey!
Your reviewing seems to be as way to immature constantly picking on the Wireless Charing Station. Who gives a **** about it anyway. I think the cause of riding a Car ist to get yourself from a to be. Not to refill your Phone battery.
Having charging cables around your car is annoying and pretty dangerous. So having a wireless charging pad is way better. And if a manufacturer is going to go to the effort of putting one in, they should at least design it properly. He wasn't being immature, he was making a mockery of the designers. You're the immature one who's trying insult someone over the internet.

I need to pay around 8k EUR more to get ST 2.3 ecoboost - just worried if the sport seats are comfortable for longer travel and the suspension is fine for daily car on 19" inch rims? I plan to buy Kombi version with performance pack but bit worried how it will be for longer travels with kids and wife. Hope the fuel consumption will be not ultra high as well. Below 10 in highways.
You cannot start the car using the app with the manual transmission. You need the auto for that. I'll have to wait and see if the wireless charging thing will become annoying. I'm guessing not, as I don't plan to drive like a car journalist every day :)
It is enough, but I'd rather get 1.5 tbh (here in my country we get 150hp, we don't have 184hp but it's basically a more detuned version of the ST Fiesta engine)
Half of this video is a rant about a feauture in this car not being desinged well enough but nevertheless a feature that to me at least is totally secondary to the real deal experience of driving a car as an enthusiast.. which has nothing to do with how well my phone would charge wirelessly. This rant is blown out of proportion timewise in this video and is a bit pointless.

The 508 Peugeot looks a lot more than he is/can/work/serve, and Ford is the opposite of it - most from Interieur = looks very obsolet and unspectulary......But everything works realy fine! Drives excellent, an Artist on road, makes fun to drive through corners ☝️👍 🏁💘☮🍀😘🎯
The way that Max has brought up the charging things makes the car like rubbish and i think he was harsh on ford by concidering this a major problem, but its understandable because when you test and drive a car this incredible you absolutly have to look for some downsides as a car journalist!!

Only in the USA. The US market is mainly interested in trucks and SUVs (and the mustang, but) so they were going to stop the sale and production of all of them for the US market, however they were planning on selling the Active version of the Focus but since it was going to be made outside the US, the new tariffs would have made it a really bad business plan so they ditched that too. Europe, Asia, etc still get the other Fords and you could say this new Focus is very Europe centric.

ST Line does not have those Alloys. In the UK anyways.
At the moment of the test the ST-Line X didn't exist in the Netherlands. The 18"rims where an option as with my 2020 ST Line 1.5 182 hp

Oh my god! Use a Lightning cable to charge and u also can use apple Car Play! That are no Problems from a typical Car driver ;-)
