Being the first demigod to directly challenge the god of war has to be the biggest flex in the Percy Jackson universe. It gets crazier when you remember he was only 12.
3:23 The underwater scenes weren’t CGI actually! In the BTS for the show, they have a segment dedicated to Walker (the actor for percy) learning how to breathe underwater. It’s so cool!
you are right the very first book is called "percy jackson & the olympians : the lightening thief" the first season is based on the first book. and the following seaons will follow the other remaing books which is why the tv series is named percy jackson & the olympians. hermes is the messenger of the gods (also known as the god of theft ) also it's not that annabeth can't swim the flow of the water was just very strong by the end of the ride and was pulling annabeth away as it was making whirlwinds. ps; yes her hair can get wet bc it's also part of braids it'll just curl up
@@jamesstutz6907 Now that's an inspired bit of fancasting. I never would have considered Jemaine Clement until your comment reminded me of Boris the Animal 👏
There have been multiple black Olympic swimmers. Cullen Jones won 4 medals (2 gold, 2 silver). Simone Manuel (2g, 2s, 1b) and others. There are actually multiple reasons why there aren't more elite black swimmers. I should note that one of them is the propagation of the stereotype that "on average, they aren't strong swimmers" (based on their race alone) and therefore can't excel at the highest levels.
Hey, thanks for the comment. I’m getting a lot of my information from the book called The Sports Gene. It goes into the big differences that elite athletes have in different sports. It turns out that sports are selecting more and more for certain attributes and people who have developed in different regions of the world have differences between them. This is also explained by one of my favorite people David Goggins who is a black, navy seal and struggled with the swimming stuff. Obviously, like him there are exceptions. Just like there are elite white runners. Here is the Goggins clip : ruclips.net/video/HVi3oPufVPg/видео.htmlsi=mtdSMwdEYoo4LrCF

Annabeths abilities are just that she’s smart
Yes your hair gets wet while wearing braids. It’s super heavy and actually takes forever to dry.

Ares, The God of War is being played by WWE Superstar wrestler "EDGE" also known as Adam Copeland.
I was thinking that the the guy who played Boris the Animal from Men in Black 3 would have played Ares God of War. Edge does a great job too!
