How Critical Drinker Forced Disney To Apologize

- Disney Marvel has recently made headlines for the major changes they've made to the MCU in order to revive the franchise. But what's interesting is that the changes Marvel have made, are exactly what the "toxic" fans and critics like Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker have been asking them to make, but for years they called those fans and critics toxic. But now they are literally pandering to them and apolgizing for their recent flops. We all knew this day would come but now it's finally here, the question is will it work?

D&W wasn't Disney apologizing. It was Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman saying, "We know you've been getting crap, so this movie is for you."
Go woke, go broke!
ahh, no. D&W was a success DESPITE Disney's attempts to make it more woke shit. It was Ryan Reynolds who fought Disney at every step that made that movie a success.
Yeah, and audiences loved it.
And that made my respect for him go up.
Because, we (fans) don't care about woke shit
They still pulled an Indiana Jones and made him a sad loser who ends up alone. After the last movies invested in his love affair it felt forced and out of place.
It also shows that a movie doesn't need a good story to be enjoyable, as this movies story is like 2/10
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman apologized to fans. Disney ordered Marvel to kill Deadpool in his comic as the movie came out and replace him unironically with a woman who is gay and lame.
They never did
@@NoshikiYTthey are
I did not see any of those "supposed" apology. Only the sentence "Welcome to Marvel, you're arriving at a low point" did I miss something?
@timtiml.fanai117 Your last sentence is actually my point, people reading/ imagining at least 5X times more then really is in the movie. People taking their wish and hope for reality. Boy they will be disappointed. I am surprised how much people keeps senseless hope going??? I'm a realistic, can't understand that behavior.
If Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman go on to make more money but Disney goes bankrupt that would make me somewhat happy. I wish those two luck in their future endeavors, but only so long as they're not with Disney.
Apology not accepted. Ryan Reynolds did the work. Not you.
MAXIMUM EFFORT!
It takes 2 to make a movie, otherwise it's a monologue. As far as I can tell D&W was not a monologue with Marcel Proust in a movie directed by Godard 😂😂😂😂
And they tried to muck it up at every turn
The true apology would be to fix the writing in the general MCU, that's not going to happen. We'll know if they actually care by what projects are coming. If "The Avengers" movies stay on the schedule, We'll know it was bs.
After the whole controversy movies that has been made so far and even fired Johnny Depp during his court case which he won, it takes more than an apology to be forgiven
I saw an interview with Hugh Jackman and he said We made this movie for the fans not the haters. I fucking love Hugh Jackman and Ryan Renalds they went above and beyond to give us fans what we want and while it's not perfect it's still a step in the right direction.
100% respect to them for this!
Bro even though Deadpool and Wolverine isn't perfect(Has noticeable flaws) it is much better than anything we have had in a very hot minute.
It is also very much a passion project by Ryan, Hugh and Shawn.

They called us cockroaches and other nice names for so long, I don't care about Disney anymore.
That hateful company needs to fall.
As female who once really loved Marvel and Disney, I have now lost all interest beyond repair. I'll never bother again. Apology and their desperate attempts mean nothing. Too little too late. The damage is done. Deadpool and Wolverine was Ryan Reynolds fight, not Disney trying to be better.
Bulls eye statement!! Disney has put itself in a timeout it might never get out of. Sadly, Ryan Reynolds' efforts to pave a better path come at a time when fans have begun abandoning the Titanic that is Disney.
@@MarioContreras-z7q I feel bad for Ryan Reynolds, but maybe he would have pulled a few back. But as you say, many have abandoned ship and chosen not to look back. It's all very sad, there was a time when I prebooked the perfect seats for release night, 3D IMAX well ahead of time for every Marvel movie. The excitement for each new Iron Man or Avengers, Thor etc was epic... :'( it's not even like I'm protesting now, I have just lost all interest. And I'm the reason so many other people got dragged out to go watch these movies with me. I was dragging the guys to watch, they didn't drag me.
Sadly, I feel the same.
"As a female" we don't care.stop using your sexuality in a statement.
@Brandonweifu Rude. Comments like this is what make women hateful towards men. I'm anti the glorifying of feminism in these roles if you didn't catch that from my statement. Read properly. Both men and woman are fueling anger towards each other, which is despicable and tragic. If you're so hateful that's a you problem, not a me problem. Luckily, the men in my life are masculine and gentlemen in one, which keep me pro-men and all for masculinity as somethingthe world needs more of. Unlike hateful ones like you, we don't need that vibe. I won't let horrible hateful men like you tarnish the fact that I value strong men and masculinity and despise what feminism has done to the world. Shame on you for letting the "narrative" make you so hateful to woman that don't deserve it
what ARE you talking about? One Deadpool movie that was always going to be an anomaly means absolutely nothing. There is no apology. There is no change of direction or shifting of focus. There is no sudden new found love for the fans. There is just a Deadpool movie, Ryan Reynolds saying some half sensible stuff as he does the promo tours and then it'll be back to business as usual.
We'll see. It's too soon to make a judgement, but what Marvel does next will be critical to see if there's any change in direction. If their next movie is back to Woke usual, they are in big trouble.

I'm quite certain Deadpool and Wolverine was picture locked WAY before The Acolyte was released. I credit Ryan Reynolds for the success of that film, thankfully he wouldn't compromise and they smartly gave him free reign.
Ryan Reynolds deserves all the love along with Hugh Jackman.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are goated for sure
Actually, Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom is stupid AF, they are in panic mode, and asking the same successful actor to play another role to fix things is just plain stupid.
Robert Downey Jr deserves to be in something else that’s not Marvel related.
Well, it has been explained on some channels that he's likely the same character but from a different timeline.
I'm kinda over it, I'm not entirely disagreeing.
Idk I think it's too soon to tell. Personally this is the only way I'm cool with rdj coming back, as a villain. I just want him to die in the end I don't want him to become a sympathetic villain who gets another chance.
Well it's a start
Agreed, so many other actors that should get the chance to play these roles - its lazy and pandering

Let's be for real here, Disney are just saying what we, the fans/critics want to hear. I don't feel they'll change and go back to what made Disney such a classic franchise.
When I see a movie that ACTUALLY that Disney are going back to the classic story telling with heart and meaning. THEN I'll forgive Disney.

Completely agree that a generic apology just doesn’t cut it. It’s a systemic problem at Disney and marvel. They need separate from all the activism and politics and tone down the number of projects they’re pursuing. They failed to see that less is more. If they waited a year or two after endgame to hype up a project they would have def seen better results. They def should have recognized that the fans needed a break after literally a 10-year theatrical event.
The only time I'd accept an apology from Disney would be if the company shut down.

Who knew insulting your audience would cost you fans/money?!
The MJ TV show idea sounds a lot better than most of what’s on Disney+. I would totally watch it.

I'm pretty sure I could write a better Dr. Doom story than what we're gonna get, and I just woke up and got stoned. Highdea go: Have a more Doom looking Iron Man suit show up, and it have Tony Stark in it, and everyone rejoices he's returned. They do a bunch of tests to make sure it's him, but it is, and he gets control of Stark Industries again. Have him fight alongside the Avengers for that movie, I would say something not cosmic level, maybe a rogue government trying to take over the world. They defeat them, everyone celebrates etc, you think it's all gravy. Then the last scene of the movie is Infamous Iron Man sitting down in a throne and removing the helmet, and then the RDJ mask, to reveal his deformed face. When I say deformed I'm talking like Secret Wars 2015 deformed. Leper King Doom. Have him say something arrogant about how he's such a lover of freedom, he tried to give the heroes all the chances to fix things, but ultimately OF COURSE IT CAME DOWN TO DOOM TO SET THE WORLD RIGHT. Then you can get into the stories about trying to bring him down. You have a character who isn't another cosmic level threat that can still fight both scientifically and magically on the same level as the rest of the Avengers.
EDIT: And imo, it has to be Reed Richards who ultimately beats him, and not just in a fist fight. Again, Secret Wars 2015. Have Doom and Reed fighting while they argue, and Doom eventually just admits he sucks compared to Reed. Then maybe he just goes home to Latveria. Put him in your pocket for later.
