I hate that he got the short end of the stick in the family. Because he didnt know he could focus on more in his vision he only showed people the bad outcome, but not how to fix it. Also the fact that the towns people assumed it wouldn't have happened if he didn't give them the vision

@@Drewgun01 I also found it unfair that the people thought just because he forsaw it, that it´s his fault. For example the man growing a gut maybe just had it coming thorugh his lifestyle. Predicting something is one thing but our actions also matter going into the future.

@@93Chowo exactly! If the guy had medical reasons it's one thing, but if he just went "vision says so" and doubled his doughnuts per day allowance, then blamed Bruno for his poor diet and lack of exercise...
Then the goldfish. Fish being carried around in small bowl, no kidding it won't live forever? No fish will? What did she expect, him to go "lol yeah you have an immortal fish and are gonna be rich"?
And the hair loss one... my good sir, common sense could have told you that one, plenty of people lose hair as they age. Some people start losing their hair while still in school, it isn't fun but it won't kill you, but also since when could Bruno control genetics?
They literally all just used him as a scapegoat for their own problems, half of which were caused by their own choices and honestly? He deserves far better.
I love how serious he is when he makes vision
It was canonically confirmed they cause him pain and exhaustion and can even make him pass out. He takes them seriously because they are always very serious, even just seeing a goldfish die can take it out of him.

On the vision she wasn’t hugging Isabela, she was hugging Abuela. The shape of the vision have braids and looks like Abuela when she was young. Isabella was just the beginning of all the vision cause if she didn’t discovered herself, Mirabel and Abuela would never have the argument which destroys the casita and make the situation on the river with Maribel and Abuela. That’s why the butterfly
Yeah that was a smart red herring with the editing team. The way the vision was edited made it seem like the mystery person turned around after the embrace to show it was Isabella, but she's actually separate from that part of the vision. To be fair though, she does hug isabella too which leads to the rest of the vision lol
My first time watching it, I actually thought it was the moment Maribel was hugging Isabela, like it needed to happen to get to the vision part.
The vision is showing her the way, even if the road is unclear
The best part is that Isabela looks like young Alma

Glasses are made of heated sand. That is why Bruno's vision plates are all made in green stained glass because he uses sand as part of his predictions.

It's kind of cool how right before this clip when he was meditating to get prepared the weather itself kicked up, things flying around inside Antonio's room and it even got darker outside while Abuela was walking in the village and they all got confused about why it got darker.
I think his ability is extremely powerful, but also takes a ton of effort and focus. I think the creators confirmed that his visions are painful and exhausting.
Also it’s interesting that he can briefly control the weather like his sister Pepa.

Bruno's power is among the strongest abilities their family has, but it's also the most intensive to use (Even Luisa isn't really "hampered" by using her super strength, unless she over-exerts.)
He's basically "out of it" during a vision and extremely weak, so he has to be protected while under activation by the rest of his family.
this can be accomplished either by his relatives remaining close by and helping him through the pain with reassurance, or providing him a secluded, safe place in their house he can collect his thoughts and clear his mind.
I like how there is some truth to camilo’s part of we don’t talk about Bruno. “When he calls your name, it all fades to black”

At the 20th second in the video the music and the animation is absolutely ingenious! It's terrifyingly gravitas! While other family members powers are fading in and out uncontrollably it's like the Miracle of Casita is at this moment being focused through him and Mirabel to give them a chance only a chance at survival.

It is Isabella in the vision. Bruno states everything is out of order. Isa and Mirabel are together in front of the candle and it burns brighter, which is exactly what happens after this. Then other stuff happens leading to the entire house cracking apart (part of the vision) which is followed lastly by the butterfly at the lake vision, which is last part that happens chronologically in the movie out of his Mirabel visions.
As Bruno states, the visions aren't very clear and out of order.

The hug is constantly shifting character models. First it's Louisa, then Abuela, then, of course, Isabella.

I wonder if he actually needs this ritual or if it’s just a zen thing that allows him to focus his natural magical ability. 🤔
One of the directors, Jared Bush, said on Twitter that Bruno didn't really need the ritual, it was something he developed as a crutch because apparently in the past he was asked to do a lot of visions which was, obviously, emotionally exhausting (and probably physically exhausting too). He can have visions without the ritual, but he's become so dependent on it that he feels like he can't have a vision without it, or so Jared Bush said.
