It makes a lot of sense that they decided to put Brad as the featured rider in this video.
Yeah that was one of the bravest rides Ive ever seen staying out on slicks
when the majority dashed for a bike swap and wet tyres
No one is more apt for explaining this more than Brad Binder!
Thanks I enjoyed your sharing these skills in the wet. Great info. Well done.
Brad is the man to talk about wet racing :)
Who else going to be well suited than this guy. Really brought the content to whole another level. That gambling in Austria was one of a kind forever.
Brad made a winning decision in that race. That was amazing!
0:45 2021 Austria flashbacks lol
Always watching from Georgetown Guyana south America 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
wish i could go fishing there.
Perfect candidate to explain the difference 😂
What a win that was!!!!!!🧡
Awesome Brad 🇿🇦
Binder is the rain master!
I needed this, going to Oregon raceway park Sunday and hoping its not going to rain - but i have a set of race rains on a spare set of wheels to use if necessary
Learnt many new things thanks
We love and support you all the way from South Africa Brad🇿🇦❤! Don’t lose your accent😉
That win though!
It was ridiculous!
Even Rossi also uses slick tires in wet races. So Amazing and Memorable in 2021.
They got it right. Who else on the Moto GP roster is more suitable to speak on this topics?
Miguel oliveira is also a dope rider on wet. But of course binder has to do it.
MotoGP should elaborate what's on display on Telly while quali are ongoing. 🙏
把GP比成水上摩托的奧地利猛獸
I like how he said that riding in the wet on the slicks is never recommended. he should know :D
Oh come on MotoGP, leave my man brad alone 😂
How do you have time to check the dashboard? 😳
Or Jack Miller.
next year throw away michelin, let's use firelli, the best firelli
KTM in rain= jet ski
Please turn on the subtitles.
Wet
"Riding in the wet on slicks isn't recommended."
-The guy who won a MotoGP race in wet conditions on slicks.
"Riding slicks in the wet is never advised" Wins KTM's home race on slicks in the wet, savage.
switch to Firelli tires, throw away michelin tires in MotoGP, michelin tires are not of good quality every year, look at Firelli's sbk, it has proven its durability
Binder is not a wet specialist!
Winning the race with slick on wet condition is absolutely crazy bro
@@kenzi2004 You only need go slow enough to not fall, it was a won bet .
In all the raining races he was bad
I don't understand about the 5 second penalty
How sticky are wet tyres compared to dry?
Is the setup on a wet bike same as a dry, just the tyres are different, or it's a totally different setup?
You did t need to dumb this down. Everyone knows slicks aren't for wet tracks, and vice versa. So many things you missed out to say. Simon Crafwr should do this.
Wet tyres are sticky but, like Brad said, you want them cool. First of all the compound is VERY soft. Any heat will destroy the tyres very quickly. Heat also comes from the tyres themselves, the grooves make the tyre really wobbly and there is a lot of movement in the actual tread, resulting in, again, heat and generally a less direct feeling.
Also, suspension needs to be softened a fair bit. All your inputs are softer, both in braking and acceleration and if your suspension is setup for dry you will never get any work done, or at least much less.
Wet tyres are usually softer compounds. The bike normally has softer suspension to work with the tyres. In full wet conditions the race times are usually 10+ seconds slower because there is less grip. Wets can get stickier but usually means they are on the way to overheating from a drying track . Once they seriously overheat the become like chewing gum. Watch Marco Melandri win a wet race at Philip Island with the bike sideways and him waving at the crowd.
Dood, did you even fucking watch the damn video? ☕
I personally think bike swaps is a great twist to MotoGP.
Plus it's riders safety, if rider feels great as is fine take a gamble.
