Rain doesn't fit Marquez' style of 100%-110%. He doesn't know when to back off to 80% or 90%, and in the rain, that is usually a recipe for crashing. Marquez has amazing feel, but he's also coming back from injury, and doesn't have all of the feel he had before.

This took guts, real guts, Bagnaia almost falls overshoting the first corner on wets, Marquez falls on wets, and yet, Binder on slicks in mixed conditions managed to outsmart and outrace them all. It could have gone horribly wrong like what happened to Norris at Sochi in Formula 1, he did not change tires and ended up losing his lead. But for sure these are the most extreme conditions a rider could face and he was on the edge on those last five laps, to me this will be one of the best races ever in MotoGP and racing in general, for all the aspects that it involved. Just incredible. A master piece indeed.
