this is the coolest trick ive ever seen. Im a beginner wakeboarder and just landed my first wake to wake today! Hopefully i can do one of these next summer.
You got it. Just remember to keep your elbows bent at 90 degrees on takeoff. The centrivical forces will nearly straighten them all the way to the peak of the jump, but you'll still have a little bend left to pull the board back underneath you.
Shaun Murray is an absolute legend. I have been riding his signature Hyperlite boards for decades. Met him in 1999 on Lake Shasta at Boardstock. Somehow crawled onto the Hyperlite houseboat a did a shot of tequila with him and I think they also had a keg of Guinness on the houseboat that we drank from. He was a cool mofo and I always admired his riding style.
Any tips for a rally without a full cut? I’m on a really narrow private lake and am limited to a 60’ rope and about 3/4 cut out to start the trick. I learned raleys way back in the day (on your first rainbow signature board!) but not sure how a 3/4 speed one would turn out.
Just huck it and make the necessary adjustments..Dont be afraid to fall. Crashing on a raley attempt is almost as impressive as landing it for the viewers on the boat
